THE FOLLOWING INCIDENTS ARE AN ACCOUNT OF CALLS AND CASES RESPONDED TO BY OFFICERS OF THE RIDGELAND POLICE DEPARTMENT. THESE CASES ARE CLOSED OR CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION. JULY 31, 2016

  • 3:22 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 6:05 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a gold Dodge Caravan.
  • 11:00 a.m. – An assault was reported at the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street after a black male was captured on surveillance video striking and threatening an employee in the dining room area.  The victim declined pursuing charges in the matter.
  • 1:08 p.m. – A larceny was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a debit card was allegedly stolen from the caller who then left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.
  • 2:28 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a green Toyota Camry traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.
  • 2:33 p.m. – Two juveniles were reportedly driving 4 wheelers on Smiths Crossing at the South Logan Street intersection.
  • 2:41 p.m. – A civil dispute between Management and a tenant was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street.
  • 3:30 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.
  • 7:33 p.m. – The driver of a white Toyota Tacoma pickup allegedly threw an item from the vehicle striking a fellow motorist’s windshield on Highway 462 at the Cherry Hill Road intersection.  No damage was reported.
  • 9:53 p.m. – A suspicious white Chevy pickup was reported on East Main Street.
  • 10:13 p.m. – Several subjects were reportedly trespassing at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street after hours.
  • 11:52 p.m. – An animal complaint was filed at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street in reference to a snake in the front parking lot area.

JULY 30, 2016

  • 1:39 a.m. – A green Pontiac Grand Am was turned over to J&M Towing after having been left parked unoccupied by the roadway on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker since July 25th.
  • 2:25 a.m. – A black Dodge Avenger was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 16 mile marker where driver Carlos Medina was found to be operating without a driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.
  • 2:37 a.m. – A black Ford F-150 pickup was stopped for several moving violations in front of the South State Bank at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where driver Daniel Joseph Smith was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol as well as being in possession of a Llama 22 caliber handgun without a concealed weapons permit.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed driver.
  • 5:27 a.m. – A suspicious black male was reportedly walking in the middle roadway at the intersection of Highway 17 and Main Street.
  • 7:35 a.m. – A suspicious black male was reportedly rolling around on the ground in the parking lot of the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street.
  • 9:33 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Detention Officers at the Ridgeland Correctional Institution at 5 Correctional Road after a subject visiting an inmate was caught attempting to smuggle contraband into the facility.
  • 10:54 a.m. – A disturbance was reported at the Jasper County Board of Disabilities Home on First Avenue after a resident began acting erratically.
  • 11:58 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a small white SUV.
  • 2:30 p.m. – A toddler was reportedly riding unrestrained inside of a green Hyundai traveling North on I-95 around the 14 mile marker.
  • 7:44 p.m. – A white GMC box truck was stopped for crossing into the emergency lane several times while traveling North on I-95 around the 20 mile marker where driver Carlos Humberto Lopez explained the violations as being due to a mechanical defect with the vehicle.  Further investigation revealed him to be operating without a driver’s license at which time he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.
  • 7:57 p.m. – An animal complaint was filed at a residence on First Avenue in reference to stray 2 small brown and white puppies running in and out of the roadway.
  • 8:49 p.m. – A black Acura TSX was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker where driver Zavier Trequan Scott was found to be operating under a suspended Georgia driver’s license stemming from failure to pay traffic ticket violations.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.
  • 8:51 a.m. – A suspicious black male was reportedly pacing and shouting at himself behind the Ridgeland Fire Department at 49 South Railroad Avenue.
  • 9:40 p.m. – A green Subaru Legacy was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 25 mile marker where driver Cody Michael Shepard began swearing at Officers after exiting the vehicle.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.
  • 10:50 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street.
  • 11:44 p.m. – A report was received of several gunshots being fired in the area of the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 11:54 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a report of a black male subject pointing a handgun at a relative during an argument outside of a residence at the intersection of Captain Bill and Henry Lawton Road.

JULY 29, 2016

  • 12:14 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 2:15 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 7:20 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.
  • 8:09 a.m. – A suspicious black male was reported at Blatchley’s Towing at 10015 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 10:21 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort where inmate Detra Lakee Wright was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center following her arrest by the Beaufort Police Department responding to a domestic dispute on July 28th.  Wright’s charges with Ridgeland PD stemmed from an August 8th 2015 traffic stop at North Green and Malphrus Street where she was arrested and charged for speeding, driving under suspension and a child restraint violation.  She was later found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on September 28th 2015 and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which she failed to comply with.  An additional charged stemmed from a second traffic stop at Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard on October 18th 2015 while she was still within the timeframe of her initial time payment plan where she was arrested and charged with improper tag, open container and driving under suspension.  She was later found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on December 14th 2015 and placed on a second time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which she again failed to comply with resulting in warrants being issued for her arrest.
  • 11:04 a.m. – A harassment complaint was filed by a resident of Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street in reference to unwanted telephone calls.
  • 11:31 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a black Dodge pickup towing a trailer.
  • 1:27 p.m. – A shoplifting was reported at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street after a routine review of surveillance footage revealed a black male stealing store items on July 21st.  The video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.
  • 1:33 p.m. – A suspicious white male was reported at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street.
  • 2:32 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 25 mile marker in reference to a small white passenger car.
  • 4:50 p.m. – A domestic dispute was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street where responding Officers ultimately placed Marcus Anthony Gregory under arrest and transported him to the Jasper County Detention Center.
  • 5:30 p.m. – A black male and a black female were reportedly being loud and causing a disturbance at the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street.
  • 6:45 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers transported a 50 year old male subject from Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville to the Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health Center in North Charleston for evaluation and treatment.
  • 8:25 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reportedly left parked and unoccupied in front of a residence on North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 10:49 p.m. – A suspicious black male was reported in front of the South State Bank at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.  The same subject was later reported at 11:55 p.m. in front of the Palmetto Veterinary Hospital at 405 South Green Street.

JULY 28, 2016

  • 2:44 a.m. – A black male was reportedly trying various vehicle door handles in the parking lot of the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street.
  • 4:36 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.
  • 5:47 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Office of Technology at 262 Third Avenue.
  • 6:51 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort where inmate Roy Keith Watkins was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Watkins charges stemmed from a February 18th 2016 incident at the intersection of West Adams and South Logan Street where he was arrested and charged after being found grossly intoxicated stumbling in the roadway.  He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court to answer to the charge on March 28th 2016 where he was found guilty during a trial in absence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
  • 12:28 p.m. – A suspicious gray Buick was reported at the Regions Bank at 11004 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 1:13 p.m. – A suspicious black male was reported at the Ridgeland Post Office at 7554 West Main Street.
  • 1:55 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 31 mile marker in reference to a yellow tractor trailer.
  • 2:00 p.m. – A Toyota Tundra pickup suffered damage to the front windshield after the railroad crossing arm on West Main Street allegedly lowered as the vehicle was traveling East.  No injuries were reported.
  • 2:30 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to service of three outstanding warrants against inmate Treivon Clifton Jenkins following his arrest by Jasper County Deputies under an attempted murder charge stemming from a July 20th 2016 shooting incident outside of a residence on Fordville Road where he and co-defendants Derrick M. Edwards, 22 of Ridgeland, and Lamar Anderson Heyward, 34 of Ridgeland, shot a 41 year old male in the neck.  Jenkins’ charges with the Ridgeland Police Department stemmed from an October 17th 2015 vehicle pursuit on I-95 South from the intersection of Highway 17 and Smiths Crossing where he was positively identified as the driver of the suspect vehicle after exiting and fleeing on foot from an apartment complex in Hardeeville.

  • 3:08 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a Father and his 18 year old son was reported at a residence in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community at 700 North Green Street where responding Officers found Gabriel Guerra intoxicated and shouting outside of the home resulting in him being placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.
  • 3:11 p.m. – A larceny was reported at a residence on Grays Highway after an Apple watch and an Android tablet were reported missing from inside of the home.
  • 4:23 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to Ryelee Teona-Marie Hall, 17 of Bluffton SC, being seen on the property.  Hall is currently listed as a wanted person by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office stemming from the recent burglary of a home in the University Park Community in Bluffton.  If you have any information of her whereabouts please call 911 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.  You need not reveal your identity.

  • 6:08 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Cute Stuff Children’s Consignment Shop at 7772 West Main Street.
  • 6:29 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the South State Bank at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 8:46 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Tillman Road in reference to a dark colored Ford traveling East towards Ridgeland.
  • 9:03 p.m. – A fight in progress was reported inside of a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.  All subjects involved left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.
  • 9:16 p.m. – A suspicious male was reported outside of the Bobops Convenience Store at 8548 Grahamville Road.
  • 9:41 p.m. – A traffic stop was initiated on a green Honda Civic at the intersection of East Main Street and South Logan in reference to a malfunctioning tail light. The driver of the Honda then turned South on Logan Street refusing to stop for the pursuing Officer until ultimately turning into the parking lot of Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street.  Dervon Jaceif Jones, 20 of Ridgeland SC, then exited the driver’s seat and fled the area on foot running North towards Logan Lane Apartments resulting in two warrant affidavits being filed charging him with driving under suspension and operating uninsured.  The vehicle was then turned over to Blatchley’s Towing for removal from the property and a 911 call was received shortly after by Dervon Jones attempting to report the vehicle stolen, unaware that the pursuing Officer had already identified him as the driver.  Jones is already listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to a July 6th 2016 incident at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street where he and co-defendant Jonah Sheldon Lataun-Brown, 17 of Ridgeland SC, were both captured on surveillance video breaking into a tenant’s vehicle during the overnight hours and stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.

JULY 27, 2016

  • 1:23 a.m. – A suspicious silver Mitsubishi Lancer was reported at the I-95 North exit 22 interchange.
  • 4:31 a.m. – A suspicious person was reportedly ringing the front doorbell of a residence on Grays Highway.
  • 4:36 a.m. – A suspicious black male was reported in the Oak Plantation Commons Community.
  • 5:25 a.m. – A suspicious green Pontiac Grand Am was reported on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker.
  • 9:10 a.m. – A suspicious black male was reported in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community at 700 North Green Street.
  • 2:25 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to an out of state relative receiving information that the female resident was having severe mental disturbances while under the influence of narcotics.
  • 2:39 p.m. – Two Ford Explorers were involved in a collision on Brabham Street.  No injuries were reported.
  • 2:54 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.
  • 4:05 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was filed in reference to individuals in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community at 700 North Green Street.
  • 4:17 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a maroon Ford F150 pickup.
  • 6:11 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Cute Stuff Children’s Consignment Shop at 7772 West Main Street.
  • 6:52 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 278 in reference to a white logging truck.
  • 6:57 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.
  • 8:05 p.m. – A disturbance was reported at a residence in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community at 700 North Green Street in reference to the caller’s teenage son exhibiting strange behavior.

JULY 26, 2016

  • 12:25 a.m. – Several gunshots were reported in the area of the Captain Bill and Fordville Road.
  • 1:04 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a red Chevy Cobalt.
  • 2 :06 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Fiddlers Seafood Restaurant at 7738 West Main Street in reference to a black Dodge Durango.
  • 7:10 a.m. – A black male was reportedly attempting to force entry into a private residence in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community at 700 North Green Street.
  • 8:08 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on Fifth Avenue in reference to a child custody issue.
  • 9:21 a.m. – A larceny was reported at a residence on Ward Court in reference to items stolen out of two vehicles parked in the driveway during the overnight hours.
  • 12:57 p.m. – A gray Honda Accord was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker where driver Sean Dwight Darby was found to be operating without a driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger after being cited for allowing an unauthorized driver.
  • 2:35 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.
  • 6:07 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Cute Stuff Children’s Consignment Shop at 7772 West Main Street.
  • 6:13 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street after two customers in the drive thru order lane began arguing.
  • 7:41 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 14 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.
  • 8:41 p.m. – A suspicious black male was reported on West Adams Street around the Sisters Ferry Road intersection.
  • 9:18 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a gray Dodge Durango.
  • 9:29 p.m. – A welfare check was requested in reference to a male subject at a residence on Captain Bill Road after an out of state relative didn’t hear from him for an extended period of time.
  • 9:35 p.m. – A suspicious black male was reported at the Plantation Inn Motel at 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 10:20 p.m. – A green Honda Odyssey and a red Honda Civic were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker.  The driver of the Honda was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.
  • 11:57 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a residence on Rice Shire Road after the caller’s 38 year old daughter began destroying items in the home and showing signs of a possible mental breakdown. She was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

JULY 25, 2016

  • 12:37 a.m. – Two suspicious white males were reported in front of the Ridgeland Alternative School at 456 Grays Highway.
  • 6:51 a.m. – The driver of a tractor trailer reportedly threw a bottle from the window towards a fellow motorist in a white van while traveling North on I-95 around the 12 mile marker.
  • 8:47 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 38 mile marker in reference to a black Lexus.
  • 11:35 a.m. – Rudolph Lenzolla Warren was taken into custody at Ridgeland Municipal Court at 1 Town Square and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found guilty and sentenced to 30 days in jail stemming from a July 8th 2016 traffic stop where he was cited for driving under suspension 3rd offense.
  • 5:31 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to negative Facebook posts.
  • 5:38 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community.
  • 5:52 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a red and white tractor trailer.
  • 6:12 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at Sheffield Oil at 11033 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 7:24 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Nimmer Turf Business Offices at 524 Nimmer Turf Road.
  • 8:00 p.m. – A burglary was reported at the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a review of surveillance video revealed a black male forcing entry into the Manager’s office on Friday night and stealing an undisclosed amount of money.  The same male was recently terminated from employment at the laundry in reference to an unreported breach of trust incident where he was caught stealing. The business declined pursuing charges in reference to the burglary, however requested that the male be placed on trespass notice for the property.  Officers then traveled to the Forest Motel at 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where the notice was served against Marvin Guinyard, 59 of Ridgeland SC, without incident.

  • 11:22 p.m. – A black male was reportedly asking homeowners and passers by for money on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

JULY 24, 2016

  • 12:20 a.m. – A report of possible gunshots being fired was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.
  • 12:28 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street in reference to a group of black males being loud and disruptive in a common area.
  • 2:10 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker in reference to a blue Ford Expedition.
  • 2:35 a.m. – A disturbance was reported at the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street in reference to a group of 5 to 6 individuals.  The subjects left the business property prior to Law Enforcement arrival.
  • 6:06 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Baptist Church at 1448 Grays Highway.  Additional activations occurred at 6:19 a.m. & 7:04 a.m.
  • 7:34 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 17 mile marker in reference to a silver van.
  • 8:06 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Citgo Station at 107 Sycamore Drive.
  • 8:34 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a black Chrysler 200.
  • 11:39 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a white Honda Accord.
  • 12:35 p.m. – A  blue GMC Terrain and a black Toyota Land Cruiser were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker.  No injuries were reported.

  • 5:01 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed in reference to individuals riding 4 wheelers on posted private property bordering East Frontage Road and Tammy Lane.
  • 6:24 p.m. – A white Dodge van and a silver Chrysler passenger car were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.  One female occupant was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.
  • 7:03 p.m. – A disturbance was reported at the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street in reference to a possible shoplifting.  Review of store surveillance video showed no evidence of any such event.
  • 8:05 p.m. – Two gunshots were reported in the vicinity of South Logan and Adams Street at which time Patrol Officers spotted a white Ford Mustang displaying a suspended South Carolina tag traveling West on Adams Street immediately after.  The vehicle then turned South on Highway 17 and began increasing speed until turning into the parking lot of the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where a traffic stop was initiated.  Driver Eric Lee Clontz was ultimately found to be operating with no valid insurance coverage as well as being in possession of an open container of liquor.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.
  • 9:13 p.m. – A loitering complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to numerous subjects standing around in the parking lot area.

  • 12:08 a.m. – A traffic stop was attempted on a Lexus IS300 after it was tracked at 114 mph in a posted 35 mph zone traveling East on Grays Highway.  The driver of the vehicle then switched the headlights off in an attempt to evade the Officer while turning right onto FIfth Avenue and then left on Owens Street ultimately coming to a stop after striking a tree and a utility pole.  Driver Delaney Robert Garzzillo, 29 of Ridgeland SC, then exited and attempted to flee the area on foot jumping a small chain link fence surrounding his residence at the corner of Owens Street and Fifth Avenue before attempting to conceal himself behind a 2′ by 8′ piece of plywood leaning against the home.  He was then taken into custody by the pursuing Officer without further incident at which time he was found to be under the influence of alcohol and ultimately turned over to the custody of South Carolina Highway Patrol Officers for transport to the Jasper County Detention Center under the charge of driving under the influence.  The vehicle was left secured on scene.

  • 12:25 a.m. – A suspicious person was reportedly knocking on a tenant’s door at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street.
  • 4:44 a.m. – A Honda Accord, a Hyundai passenger car and a Plymouth sedan were involved in a collision on West Main Street at the Jacob Smart Boulevard intersection.  No injuries were reported.
  • 8:06 a.m. – A disturbance was reported at the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street in reference to a dispute between employees.
  • 8:27 a.m. – A shoplifting was reported at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street after a black male entered the employee restroom where he stole a cell phone and mp3 player by concealing them in his clothing.  Evidence collected at the scene has been submitted to the Beaufort County and SLED Forensics Laboratories for suspect identification and pending charges.
  • 8:37 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Seventh Day Adventist Church at 8569 Grahamville Road.
  • 12:27 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the SCDOT Maintenance Lot at 112 East Woodlawn Street.
  • 2:33 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a Suzuki motorcycle traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.
  • 3:10 p.m. – A white Cadillac was reportedly impeding traffic flow on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker.
  • 4:14 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a gray Plymouth traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.
  • 4:41 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 25 mile marker in reference to a white Toyota pickup.
  • 4:47 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 25 mile marker in reference to a white Mazda.
  • 6:11 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a domestic dispute between a male and a female outside of a residence at the corner of Bees Creek Road and Clover Circle where one of the parties involved, a 16 year old Hispanic female, was ultimately placed under arrest by Deputies and transported to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Center in Columbia under the charges of public disorderly conduct, providing false information to Police & domestic violence 3rd.
  • 6:41 p.m. – A white Hyundai passenger car was involved in a single vehicle collision on Highway 462 in front of the Zion Oak Grove Church after striking a bobcat in the roadway.  No injuries were reported.
  • 7:14 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed by a resident at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street after the complainant’s Daughter’s boyfriend arrived at the home and began continuously knocking on the door.
  • 9:28 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to an older model burgundy Lincoln sedan.
  • 10:00 p.m. – A shooting was reported at a residence on East Adams Street after an unknown person fired a single gunshot towards the home striking the framing surrounding the front door.
  • 10:10 p.m. – A black Chevy Camaro was stopped at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after parking in the roadway on East Adams Street for a short time blocking the Westbound lane of travel where driver Jose Castaneda was found to be in possession of a quantity of Xanax tablets without legal authority to do so as well as operating without a driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.

JULY 22, 2016

  • 12:33 a.m. – A gray Kia Soul was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker where driver Roberto Mario Aguilar was found to be operating under a suspended North Carolina driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.
  • 3:13 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 31 mile marker in reference to a white Toyota Camry.
  • 4:21 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported outside of the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street.
  • 4:23 a.m. – A suspicious white male was reported outside of the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street.
  • 5:24 a.m. – A suspicious white male was reported outside of Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.
  • 8:31 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the New Hong Kong Restaurant at 8176 East Main Street.
  • 10:06 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers transported a 52 year old white male from a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation.  He was later transported to Rebound Behavioral Health in Lancaster SC.
  • 12:07 p.m. – A gray GMC Sierra pickup towing a trailer and a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle were involved in separate single vehicle collisions on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker after both drivers lost control and struck the center median guard wires.  The driver of the motorcycle was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

  • 1:18 a.m. – A suspicious white male was reported in front of the Bank of Walterboro at 8058 East Main Street.
  • 1:55 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at A-1 Towing at 9888 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 3:40 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 3:46 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the La Economica Store at 10822 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a subject knocking on the front door and then attempting to force their way inside before fleeing from the area after the business owner switched on an outside light.
  • 5:57 a.m. – A suspicious shirtless black male wearing white shorts was reported in the parking lot of the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.  He left the area walking East towards Bees Creek Road.
  • 6:17 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Pizza Bella Restaurant at 8196 East Main Street.
  • 1:42 p.m. – A forgery was reported at the Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street after a white female presented a personal check which did not match her identification.  Surveillance video is being reviewed for pending charges.
  • 6:18 p.m. – A black male was reportedly shouting and threatening employees at the Dairy Queen Restaurant at 80 Blue Heron Drive.
  • 6:49 p.m. – A silver Toyota Camry and a black Ford Ranger pickup were involved in a collision in front of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store on North Jacob Smart Boulevard.  No injuries were reported.
  • 8:24 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street in reference to a verbal dispute between a tenant and another female driving a white Buick Rendezvous.  Responding Officers spotted the vehicle traveling South in front of Ken’s Tire Service at 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where a traffic stop was initiated and driver Shorner Fields, 52 of Hardeeville SC, was issued a trespass notice for the property of Logan Lane Apartments at the complainant’s request.
  • 8:58 p.m. – A suspicious black pickup was reported in the parking lot area of Southeast Pyrotechnics at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 10:42 p.m. – A suspicious white Chevy Impala was reported in the parking lot of the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street.
  • 10:51 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker in a reference to a white Chevy van.
  • 11:44 p.m. – A missing/endangered person report was filed at a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community after the complainant’s husband posted a suspicious Facebook message from an unknown location and refused to answer phone calls or text messages.  Robert Landis Lawton was last seen leaving his home at approximately 10 p.m. wearing glasses, gray shorts and a striped shirt driving a black Jeep Wrangler.  He is described as a 52 year old white male standing 5′ 8″ tall and weighing 170 pounds with salt and pepper hair cut short.

JULY 20, 2016

  • 2:44 a.m. – Officers responded to an  activated vehicle alarm in the parking lot of the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive.
  • 6:48 a.m. – A suspicious person report was filed at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive in reference to a black male peering inside of several unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot.
  • 9:09 a.m. – An animal complaint was filed in reference to several stray cats wandering the area of the Jasper’s Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive.
  • 10:21 a.m. – An intoxicated black male was reported at the intersection of West Main Street and Great Swamp Road.
  • 10:42 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on North Jacob Smart Boulevard after an out of state relative of the female subject residing there hadn’t had any contact for an extended period of time.
  • 12:00 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community after a female driving an older model white mini van nearly struck an 8 year old child.
  • 12:53 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Bluffton / Jasper Volunteers in Medicine Office at 11332 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 3:20 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a white pickup towing a trailer loaded with bicycles and a gold cart traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.
  • 5:33 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Cute Stuff Children’s Consignment Shop at 7772 West Main Street.
  • 8:36 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a report of shots fired outside of a residence on Fordville Road where a 41 year old black male was found to have suffered a gunshot wound to the neck.  He was airlifted to Savannah Memorial Hospital for treatment.
  • 9:52 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community on North Green Street in reference to Aljaquan Lamont Hugue, 22 of Ridgeland SC, coming to the home and causing problems with the caller’s 16 year old daughter.  Hugue was recently released from prison following his convictions for the February 24th 2014 burglary of the same complainant’s residence as well as the March 6th 2014 burglary of a residence on East Wilson Street.  He was sentenced to 4 years in prison plus 2 years of active probation on April 13th 2015.

  • 2:28 p.m. – A civil complaint was filed at the Advance Auto Parts Store at 10424 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a verbal dispute between a customer and employee.
  • 4:01 p.m. – A red Ford pickup loaded with lumber was reportedly causing road debris from the load being unsecured while traveling South on I-95 around the 27 mile marker.
  • 6:09 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Cute Stuff Children’s Consignment Shop at 7772 West Main Street.

JULY 18, 2016

  • 1:29 p.m. – A black Chevy Tahoe was stopped on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker after a check of the Missouri tag displayed on the vehicle was found to be expired as well as showing registered to a Toyota.  A large quantity of prepaid Visa gift cards was ultimately discovered concealed inside of one of the vehicle door panels which were seized and transported to the I.C.E. Offices in Charleston SC for further investigation.  The driver of the suspect vehicle, Jorge Leon 46 of Miami FL, was cited and assigned a court date for the vehicle tag offense.
  • 3:53 p.m. – A property damage report was filed in reference to a tractor trailer striking a globe cover on a light post in front of the Jasper County Courthouse at 265 Russell Street.
  • 6:08 p.m. – A black male was reportedly trespassing at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.
  • 6:14 p.m. – A male subject was reportedly trespassing at The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 8:05 p.m. – A Hispanic male was reportedly operating a 4 wheeler on Smiths Crossing at the Carters Mill Road intersection.
  • 8:43 p.m. – A group of three possibly intoxicated white males was reported at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.
  • 9:23 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

JULY 17, 2016

  • 1:36 a.m. – A white SUV was reportedly traveling South on Old House Road with no taillights in operation.
  • 5:13 a.m. – Two suspicious black males were reported at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street.
  • 5:56 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after patrons began arguing and making threatening statements towards staff members attempting to close for the day.
  • 7:07 a.m. – A suspicious white male was reported at the Dairy Queen Restaurant at 80 Blue Heron Drive.
  • 7:41 a.m. – Two suspicious males were reportedly knocking on a tenant’s door and posing as cleaning staff at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street.
  • 11:11 a.m. – An infant was reportedly seated in the front seat of a burgundy Nissan at the intersection of East Main and South Logan Street.
  • 12:27 p.m. – A dog was reportedly left locked inside of an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot of the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street.
  • 12:54 p.m. – Officers traveled to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for transport of a 41 year old resident of Live Oak Farm Road to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment following a July 15th incident at The Palms Motel where he ingested a large amount of prescription narcotics and alcohol.
  • 1:42 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of a male subject suspended by his neck from a tree behind a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community where Reynaldo Santos-Guzman, 72 of Ridgeland SC, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Evidence and statements collected provide that Guzman had recently become depressed for unknown reasons and taken his own life.
  • 3:11 p.m. – A white Chevy Express van was involved in a collision on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker with an unknown vehicle which then left the scene without reporting the collision.  No injuries were reported.
  • 7:55 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 8:14 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 8:56 p.m. – A white Ford Ranger pickup was stopped on Highway 17 around the I-95 exit 18 interchange after Officers observed it traveling North on three tires. Driver Mark Allen Regnier, 36 of Enoree SC, was cited and assigned a court date for operating an unsafe vehicle and displaying an expired South Carolina tag as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle. 
  • 9:25 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a husband and wife occurred at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after an argument led to the female striking and biting her husband numerous times.  Brittany Michaela Mack was ultimately placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under a charge of domestic violence 3rd.

JULY 16, 2016

  • 12:38 a.m. – A verbal domestic dispute was reported at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 209 Heron Crossing Drive.
  • 2:06 a.m. – A suspicious white male was reported in the parking lot of the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street.
  • 2:11 a.m. – A suspicious U-Haul rental truck was reported in the parking lot of the Jasper’s Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive.
  • 4:29 a.m. – A gray Dodge Dart was stopped on I-95 South around the 15 mile marker after being tracked at 143 mph around the 20 mile marker where driver Jonathan Velazquez was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.
  • 8:41 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at Ken’s Tire Service at 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 10:59 a.m. – A previously unreported stolen cell phone was tracked to the Forrest Motel at 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 1:19 p.m. – A female customer accidentally left her wallet lying at the customer service counter at the Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.  She returned to the store 10 to 15 minutes later and observed another female in the parking lot carrying it.  The unknown female, upon seeing the complainant approaching her, dropped the item to the ground and left the business property. No items were reported missing.
  • 3:02 p.m. – Rodrigo Mondragon-Araujo was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department after Patrol Officers spotted him outside of a residence at the corner of East Main and South Logan Street.  Araujo’s charges stemmed from a September 11th 2015 traffic stop at the intersection of Grays Highway and Russell Street where he was arrested and charged after being found operating under the influence of alcohol with an unrestrained 5 year old child in the vehicle with him.  He was later found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on September 28th 2015 and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which he failed to comply with resulting in warrants being issued for his arrest.  An additional charge stemmed from an April 23rd 2016 traffic stop where he was cited for driving under suspension.  He then failed to appear in court to answer to the charge on May 23rd where he was found guilty during a trial in absence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
  • 4:10 p.m. – A white Chevy Traverse and a blue Chevy Silverado pickup were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street.  No injuries were reported.
  • 4:30 p.m. – A blue Ford F150 pickup and a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee were involved in a collision at the intersection of Smiths Crossing and South Jacob Smart Boulevard.  One female occupant was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville.
  • 6:07 p.m. – A white Chevy Tahoe was involved in a single vehicle collision at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Correctional Road.  No injuries were reported.
  • 8:05 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a white van.
  • 10:59 p.m. – A complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to a large group of people shouting, smoking marijuana and consuming alcohol in the parking lot area.
  • 11:11 p.m. – A suspicious black Jeep was reported in the parking lot of A-1 Towing at 9888 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 11:54 p.m. – A white Ford Econoline van was stopped for a disregarding stop sign violation at the intersection of West Adams Street and Carters Mill Road where driver Jose Lopez-Mena was found to be operating without a driver’s license. Further investigation revealed himself and passenger Mario Romero-Vega to be in possession of several open containers of beer at which point both were placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.  Mena’s no driver’s license charge was enhanced to 2nd offense due to a previous July 4th 2016 traffic stop on Shadetree Street where he was arrested and charged with no driver’s license 1st offense.

  • 1:36 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 5:25 a.m. – A gold Hummer H3 was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North around the exit 22 interchange.  No injuries were reported.
  • 8:57 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a silver pickup.
  • 10:14 a.m. – A female driver was reportedly driving recklessly and Facetiming while driving in a white Dodge Charger on I-95 North around the 20 mile marker.
  • 2:48 p.m. – A 41 year old white male was transported by EMS from The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after ingesting a large amount of prescription narcotics and alcohol.

  • 7:40 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Charleston County Detention Center at 3841 Leeds Avenue in North Charleston SC where inmate David Lee McCoy-Robinson was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department.  McCoy-Robinson’s charges stemmed from a March 27th 2016 traffic stop on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker where he was cited after being found in possession of a quantity of marijuana.  He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court to answer to the charge on April 11th where he was found guilty during a trial in absence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
  • 9:13 p.m. – A shoplifting was reported at the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street in reference to a black male subject stealing store items by concealing them underneath his clothing.  The suspect was spotted shortly after by responding Officers on East Adams Street at which time he fled the area on foot running to Logan Lane Apartments.  Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.
  • 10:46 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 11:42 p.m. – A black Chevy Equinox was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker where driver Eberardo Vega was found to be operating under a suspended North Carolina driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.

  • 3:11 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted in the parking lot of the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.
  • 9:06 a.m. – An open door was discovered at Eric’s Automotive at 11115 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 9:16 a.m. – Beverly Ann Mungin was placed under arrest at the Main Street Barbecue Restaurant at 8084 East Main Street and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department.  Mungin’s charges stemmed from a July 11th report filed at the business after she was captured on surveillance video stealing an undisclosed amount of cash from a bank deposit bag during her shift on July 9th..
  • 9:51 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community after an open line 911 call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.
  • 10:18 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted on a male subject at a residence on Grays Highway after Beaufort County Authorities entered him into NCIC as a missing/endangered person regarding statements made at Beaufort Memorial Hospital earlier in the morning.
  • 11:31 a.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the SCDMV Office at 407 Live Oak Drive regarding statements made between two customers in the business parking lot.
  • 12:31 p.m. – A breach of trust report was filed at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street after a review of surveillance footage revealed an employee pocketing an undisclosed amount of money from fraudulent refunds as well as taking store items without paying for them.
  • 12:33 p.m. – A shoplifting was captured on security video at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street after a review of security footage revealed a white male driving a white Chevy pickup stealing a cigarette lighter from the front counter area on the afternoon of July 12th.  If you have any information on the identity of the subject pictured below please contact Sgt.     1:42 p.m. – A Chevy Silverado pickup and a Chevy Malibu were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive where one of the vehicle occupants, Austin Deveron Rakes 24 of Hilton Head SC, was found to be listed as a wanted person by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office in reference to two outstanding failure to appear bench warrants.  He was taken into custody without incident by responding Deputies and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.  No injuries were reported in reference to the collision.

  • 5:04 p.m. – Two black males were reportedly fighting in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.  Both subjects left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

  • 12:06 a.m. – A black Chevy Silverado was stopped for speeding on Highway 278 at the Oak Plantation Drive intersection where passenger Dale Roscoe Terry Jr., 28 of Early Branch SC, was found to be listed as a wanted person by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a June 1st 2016 burglary at a residence on Tillman Road.  He was detained and turned over to the custody of responding Sheriff’s Deputies for transport to the Jasper County Detention Center under a charge of burglary 3rd.

  • 12:30 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a domestic dispute between a Mother and her 24 year old son at a residence on Ellis Hodges Road where Swansetta Roxanne Baker, 40 of Ridgeland SC, was ultimately taken into custody by Deputies and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under a charge of assault & battery 3rd.

  • 3:39 a.m. – Patrol Officers recovered a blue suitcase containing clothing left abandoned by the roadway in front of the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 10:50 a.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Plantation Inn Motel at 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to telephone calls received from an individual claiming to be an IRS Agent.
  • 11:18 a.m. – A complaint was filed in reference to a white flatbed tractor trailer hauling stone losing pieces of it’s cargo while traveling South on I-95 around the 26 mile marker.

  • 12:09 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence at Devonwood Apartments at 137 Captain Bill Road after suspicious noises were heard inside of an apartment.
  • 12:36 a.m. – Two male subjects were involved in a dispute over a cell phone at a residence on Grays Highway resulting in one assaulting the other.  The victim declined pursuing charges in the matter.
  • 1:19 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to an activated alarm at the Handy Dan’s Exxon Station at 29 Cotton Hill Road in Tillman where a front window glass was found to have been shattered and numerous items stolen from within.  Surveillance footage is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.
  • 4:21 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a suspicious vehicle stopped in the roadway at the intersection of Bailey Mill and Tarboro Road.  A check of the unoccupied 2008 gold Chevy Silverado pickup revealed it to be listed as a stolen vehicle by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. It was removed from the area by Merritt’s Towing.
  • 9:43 a.m. – A black Infiniti was removed from the area of the I-95 Northbound truck parking area at the 17 mile marker by Eric’s Towing after being left unoccupied partially blocking the lane of travel.
  • 4:01 p.m. – A counterfeit $100 bill marked “For Motion Picture Use Only” was presented at the Dairy Queen Restaurant at 80 Blue Heron Drive by a black male subject.
  • 7:19 p.m. – Elouise Anderson was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to two outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department after Patrol Officers spotted her at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.  Anderson’s first charge stemmed from a January 22nd 2016 shoplifting incident at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street where a review of surveillance footage showed her stealing store items by concealing them underneath her clothing on January 21st.  She was arrested for the offense on January 25th at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard and later found guilty in Ridgeland Municipal Court on February 8th where she was placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which she failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest. Her second charge stemmed from a July 11th 2016 theft at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community where she stole the homeowner’s cell phone during a verbal dispute over being told to leave the property.
  • 8:32 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Badcock Furniture Store at 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

  • 11:06 p.m. – A larceny was reported at the First Ridgeland Advent Church at 7410 West Main Street after a black male stole lettering from a sign posted on Church property.

  • 2:32 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive in reference to a gray passenger car at the fuel pumps.  A welfare check revealed the driver to have fallen asleep.
  • 5:39 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street in reference to a gray Chevy Impala.
  • 8:30 a.m. – Ashley Latoya Bolden was placed under arrest at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department.  Bolden’s charges stemmed from a July 1st 2016 incident at the Econo Lodge where she was captured on surveillance video entering a tenant’s room and stealing several personal items while employed as a front desk clerk.
  • 8:30 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Beaufort/Jasper Volunteers In Medicine Office at 11332 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 9:42 a.m. – Nickos Jamar Flint was placed under arrest at the Ridgeland Municipal Courtroom at 1 Town Square and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department.  Flint’s charges stemmed from a June 10th 2016 incident where he and co-defendant Kristina Nicole Trudell, 28 of Hardeeville SC, were captured on surveillance video stealing a television from an unoccupied room on June 8th as a black female distracted the employee who had unlocked the room in order to clean it.  Trudell was arrested for her part in the incident on June 20th after turning herself in at the Jasper County Detention Center.
  • 9:46 a.m. – Tyanthony Christopher Murray turned himself in to Ridgeland Officers at the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to an outstanding warrant issued against him by the Ridgeland Police Department.  Murray’s charges stemmed from a July 6th 2016 incident at The Outpost Clothing Store at 10535 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where he was captured on surveillance footage stealing .380 caliber handgun ammunition as another black male distracted the on duty employee.
  • 12:59 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort where inmate Michael Jarrell King was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. King’s charges stemmed from a June 5th 2015 traffic stop where he was cited for an ABC violation after being found in possession of an open container of liquor. He was later found guilty of the charge in Ridgeland Municipal Court on June 22nd 2015 and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which he failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.
  • 1:43 p.m. – An animal complaint was filed at a residence on First Avenue in reference to several stray cats wandering the area.
  • 4:13 p.m. – A breach of trust was reported at the Main Street Barbecue Restaurant at 8084 East Main Street after a review of the business surveillance footage revealed employee Beverly Ann Mungin, 61 of Ridgeland SC, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash from a bank deposit bag on July 9th.  A warrant affidavit has been filed against her under the charge of breach of trust.

  • 6:06 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed on East Frontage Road in reference to subjects riding 4 wheelers on posted private property.
  • 7:02 p.m. – A report of possible animal neglect was filed in reference to two pit bulls being left on short leads with no water or shade in front of a residence on Third Avenue.
  • 7:14 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Badcock Furniture Store at 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 8:40 p.m. – A larceny was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community after a female visitor refused to leave the home when told.  The female then snatched the homeowner’s cell phone as he attempted to contact Law Enforcement and left the property on foot walking West. A warrant affidavit has been filed against Elouise Anderson, 48 of Ridgeland SC, charging her with larceny.

  • 10:05 p.m. – A gold Dodge Journey and a red Kia Forte were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Wendy’s Restaurant at 8480 Grahamville Road. No injuries were reported.
  • 10:38 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at a residence on East Adams Street after Robert Mitchell struck the female victim during a verbal dispute before leaving the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival. Mitchell was already listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from a July 9th incident at the same residence involving the same female victim.  Ridgeland Officers and Jasper County Deputies then traveled to Mitchell’s residence on Battery Pointe Road where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

JULY 10, 2016

  • 12:21 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a red Ford Expedition.
  • 4:22 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 30 mile marker in reference to a blue Toyota Camry.
  • 12:18 p.m. – South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to a hit and run collision on I-95 South at the 33 mile marker involving a white Ford Focus which fled the area continuing South towards Ridgeland.  An alert for the vehicle was issued to surrounding agencies resulting in in being spotted a short time later by Ridgeland Officers posted at the 22 mile marker.  Attempts to initiate a traffic stop resulted in the suspect vehicle, driven by Jeff Anthony Murphy 55 of Sebring FL, to accelerate in an aggressive manner attempting to evade Law Enforcement.  A pursuit then ensued joined by Hardeeville Officers at the exit 8 interchange and Port Wentworth GA Officers at the state line who were ultimately able to stop the suspect vehicle using a pursuit intervention technique on Highway 21 and take Murphy into custody under various charges including fleeing to evade, operating under a suspended/revoked driver’s license, driving under the influence, open container, wrong tag and possession of stolen vehicle in addition to a hold for extradition being placed by Florida Authorities in reference to outstanding robbery warrants.
  • 4:43 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted on an elderly male tenant at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street after he exhibited signs of a possible diminished mental status.
  • 5:49 p.m. – A report was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to the complainant’s cable television line being cut.
  • 7:31 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Badcock Furniture Store at 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 8:06 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 9:12 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a white Chevy Impala allegedly flashing emergency lights at other motorists.
  • 9:14 p.m. – A theft was reported at a residence on Wise Street after numerous personal items were stolen from the victim including firefighting gear, tattoo equipment and a one way cell phone restricted for use with the victim’s doctor. Some of the items were soon after recovered from a residence on Hagin Drive and more of it approximately 4 hours later in a nearby wooded area.  Warrant affidavits are pending against Markus Jesse Bates, 20 of 242 Hagin Drive in Ridgeland, under the charge of possession of stolen property.

  • 12:52 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a dark colored sedan.
  • 2:02 a.m. – A black Chevy Suburban was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 24 mile marker where driver Ruth Lee Johnson provided the Officer with a false date of birth in an effort to conceal the fact that her West Virginia driver’s license was under a state of suspension stemming from failure to pay traffic ticket violations.  She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.
  • 3:13 a.m. – Stephan Jacque Lee Roberson was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center from the intersection of Highway 17 and Mango Drive after Officers spotted him stumbling in the roadway due to being highly intoxicated attempting to walk to Club Pluto.
  • 9:14 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Board of Disabilities Office at 1512 Grays Highway.
  • 10:02 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 16 mile marker in reference to a silver Toyota Prius.
  • 10:18 a.m. – A theft was reported at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 209 Heron Crossing Drive in reference to fraudulent credit card charges appearing on the complainant’s bank statement.
  • 12:52 p.m. – A wallet was reported missing from the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road after being accidentally left in the dining area by the complainant.  Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.
  • 1:24 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Board of Disabilities Office at 1512 Grays Highway.
  • 5:05 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on East Adams Street after Robert Mitchell, 60 of Ridgeland SC, struck and choked his girlfriend before shattering her cell phone.  He then assaulted the victim’s female roommate who attempted to intervene.  Mitchell left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.  Warrant affidavits have been filed against him under the charges of domestic violence 2nd, malicious injury to property and assault and battery 3rd.

  • 9:51 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 462 in reference to a maroon Toyota Camry.
  • 10:37 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed in reference to loud music coming from an organized event at the Ridgeland Farmer’s Market at 9935 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 10:38 p.m. – Jasper County Deputies responded to a report of two suspicious males at the Citgo Station at 2819 North Okatie Highway where Phillip James Colletti, 25 of Bluffton SC, and Thomas Edward Pinckney Jr. were discovered in the business parking lot.  Colletti was ultimately placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under a charge of public disorderly conduct after he began shouting obscenities in the presence of store patrons.  Pinckney was found to be listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department and was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Center in Hardeeville for treatment to a cut to his arm which he stated had stemmed from a previous accident.  Ridgeland Officers then traveled to Coastal Carolina where he was turned over to their custody by responding Hardeeville Officers and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.  Pinckney’s charges stemmed from a January 7th 2016 incident at the Star Point BP at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where he was arrested and charged after being found grossly intoxicated in the parking lot area.  He was later found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on January 25th and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which he failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.

  • 2:26 p.m. – A burgundy Dodge Grand Caravan was stopped for speeding at the intersection of Smiths Crossing and Ables Drive where driver Oscar Baeza was found to be operating without a driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

  • 7:27 a.m. – A brown and white dog was reportedly acting aggressively wandering the area of East Wilson Street and the Blue Heron Nature Trail.
  • 7:47 a.m. – A female tenant reported her husband missing from the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street after failing to return since 6 p.m. July 6th.
  • 9:21 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at Saul’s Funeral Home at 310 West Adams Street.
  • 10:32 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported in reference to a burgundy and beige tractor trailer traveling North on I-95 between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.
  • 1:48 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after the male allegedly refused to return his wife’s cell phone.
  • 2:30 p.m. – A push mower was reported stolen from outside of a residence on North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 3:49 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 17 at the Crowfield Road intersection in reference to a white passenger car traveling North.
  • 4:00 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where an outstanding warrant was served against inmate Desiree Gloreah Sahtorey Lewis following her arrest by South Carolina Highway Patrol Officers during a traffic stop at the Sunoco Station at 18492 Whyte Hardee Boulevard in Hardeeville.  Lewis’ charges with the Ridgeland Police Department stemmed from a September 11th 2015 traffic stop at the intersection of North Green Street and Grays Highway where she was arrested and charged with several violations as well as being listed as a wanted person by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.  She was later found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on October 26th 2015 and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which she failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest.
  • 4:04 p.m. – A report was filed by a resident on McTeer Street concerning recent fraudulent activity on their credit report as well as use of a credit card at locations in Georgia.
  • 6:53 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed by a tenant at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street in reference to unwanted text messages received from the complainant’s ex-spouse residing in Atlanta GA.
  • 10:31 p.m. – James Robert Nelson, 52 of Ridgeland SC, was placed on trespass notice for The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard and The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart at the Property Manager’s request.

JULY 6, 2016

  • 6:34 a.m. – Jasper County Deputies responding to a larceny at a residence on Tarboro Road discovered one of the family members, Deidre Ellen Roberts, to be listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department.  She was placed under arrest and turned over to the custody of Ridgeland Officers for transport to the Jasper County Detention Center.  Roberts’ charges stemmed from a February 1st 2016 traffic stop at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where she was arrested and charged with driving under suspension.  She was later found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on February 29th and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which she failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest.
  • 7:57 a.m. – A gold Buick Century was stopped for an expired North Carolina tag violation on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker where driver Kasey Renee Keeylen was found to be operating under a suspended North Carolina driver’s license.  She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.
  • 8:43 a.m. – A black BMW SUV was involved in a single vehicle collision on Highway 336 around the Smiths Crossing intersection after the driver lost control and flipped the vehicle several times before falling into a steep roadside embankment.  The incident is believed to have occurred several hours prior with the 52 year old female driver entrapped inside of the wreckage and unable to call for help until being spotted just after 8:30 a.m. by a passing motorist.  She was ultimately extricated from the vehicle and transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville where she was then airlifted to Savannah Memorial Hospital in critical condition where she later died from her injuries.
  • 8:58 a.m. – An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from inside of a blue Jeep Cherokee in the parking lot of the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street at approximately 1:20 a.m.  Surveillance Video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.
  • 9:41 a.m. – Numerous items were stolen from inside of a gray Honda in the parking lot of Heron Crossing Apartments at 313 Heron Crossing Road sometime between 12:30 and 9:30 a.m.
  • 10:11 a.m. – An assault was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street after tenant Richard Dave Jones was captured on surveillance video shoving a staff member against a wall during a civil dispute.  Jones was then placed under arrest for the offense at which time Whitney Vanessa Jones began cursing and causing a disturbance.  She then ignored Officers orders to curb her language and continued causing a scene at which time she too was placed under arrest.  Both suspects were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.
  • 10:46 a.m. – A lost puppy was reported at a residence on West Adams Street.
  • 1:23 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a Mother and her 15 year old son was reported at a residence on North Green Street after the juvenile assaulted her inside of the home before leaving the area on foot prior to Law Enforcement arrival.  The incident information was forwarded to the Jasper County DJJ Office.
  • 1:31 p.m. – A gold Chevy Impala was stopped for a no tag violation on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker where driver Lilia Alejandra Garcia-Rojas was found to be operating under a suspended Nevada driver’s license.  She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.
  • 2:17 p.m. – A black Ford F150 pickup and a gray Chevy Trailblazer were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street.  No injuries were reported.
  • 4:24 p.m. – A shoplifting was reported at The Outpost Clothing Store at 10535 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after 2 males were captured on surveillance video stealing .380 caliber handgun ammunition before leaving the property driving South in a black 2007 Chevy Impala.  If you have any information on the identity of the suspects pictured below please contact Sgt.   • 5:33 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street in reference to a white female being told to leave the property by Management.  The subject ultimately left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.
  • 5:49 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on West Woodlawn Street.
  • 6:41 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Badcock Furniture Store at 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 8:08 p.m. – A gold Chrysler Town & Country mini van was stopped for a turn signal violation at the intersection of Smiths Crossing and Ellis Hodges Road where driver Robert Halldorson was found to be operating without a driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.
  • 10:16 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a domestic dispute between two sisters at a residence on Oak Hill Road.
  • 10:47 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street which escalated to the male subject kicking the door of their room several times.

JULY 5, 2016

  • 2:36 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a domestic dispute between a male and a female at a residence on Old House Road where Jacqueline Nicole White-Cannick, 32 of Ridgeland SC, was ultimately placed under arrest by Deputies and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under the charge of domestic violence 2nd.

  • 6:36 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 43 mile marker in reference to an Isuzu Trooper.
  • 7:55 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Aussie Autobody Shop at 1010 West Adams Street.
  • 8:55 a.m. – A larceny was reported at the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a part time employee known only as “Quan” stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.  The victim declined pursuing charges in the matter.
  • 9:16 a.m. – A larceny was reported by a resident at The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a lock box kept with the victim’s belongings.
  • 9:18 a.m. – Two black males were reportedly fighting in the parking lot of the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street.
  • 10:17 a.m. – A report of male subjects consuming alcohol and smoking marijuana was filed at Devonwood Apartments at 137 Captain Bill Road.
  • 11:06 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on East Wilson Street.
  • 11:15 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 11 mile marker in reference to a Ford SUV.
  • 1:10 p.m. – An infant was reportedly sitting on the lap of the driver of a white SUV towing a Jet Ski traveling South on I-95 around the 28 mile marker.
  • 3:12 p.m. – A black Chevy Traverse was stopped for speeding and an unsafe lane change violation at the Citgo Station at 107 Sycamore Drive where driver Victor Armando Tejeda-Rosario was found to be operating under a suspended North Carolina driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger who was cited and assigned a court date for allowing an unauthorized driver.
  • 4:16 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Ridgeland Eye Associates Office at 10668 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 4:31 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported in reference to a purple Ford Mustang traveling North on I-95 between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.
  • 6:01 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Grahamville Road in reference to a red passenger car.
  • 6:15 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 17 mile marker in reference to a white Ford Explorer.
  • 7:48 p.m. – An incorrigible juvenile report was filed at a residence on North Green Street in reference to the complainant’s 15 year old son, who is currently serving a term of probation with the Department of Juvenile Justice, not following instruction or adhering to his 7 p.m. curfew.
  • 11:22 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Bobops Station at 8548 Grahamville Road.

JULY 4, 2016

  • 12:08 a.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence on South Railroad Avenue after a black male knocked on the complainant’s door and began making threatening statements over an earlier unreported incident.
  • 12:49 a.m. – A black Mercedes CLK-430 was involved in a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Smith’s Crossing and South Logan Street causing a live power line to fall into the yard of a private residence.  The driver of the vehicle then fled the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.  SCE&G Personnel were dispatched to the scene to repair the downed line.
  • 11:39 a.m. – A Toyota Camry was stopped for speeding on Highway 17 at the Kato Bay Road intersection where driver Javier Avila-Gutierrez was found to be operating without a driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.
  • 3:19 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported in reference to a gray Ford Explorer traveling North on I-95 between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.
  • 5:18 p.m. – A tree and a power line were reported down on Highway 336 near the Old House Road intersection causing both lanes of travel to be shut down for a short period of time.
  • 9:12 p.m. – A complaint was filed of fireworks being ignited at a residence on Third Avenue.
  • 10:37 p.m. – A white Ford Econoline van was stopped for a tag light violation on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community where driver Jose Lopez-Mena was found to be operating without a driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was left secured in the defendant’s driveway.
  • 11:33 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

JULY 3, 2016

  • 12:23 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 12:56 a.m. – A black Ford Ranger was stopped for a defective headlight violation on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker where driver Sabino Damian Hernandez was found to be operating without a driver’s license or valid insurance coverage.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.
  • 12:58 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed at a residence on West Adams Street in reference to loud music coming from a neighboring home.
  • 1:54 a.m. – A complaint was filed of a black female knocking on various tenants’ doors at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street.  Responding Officers discovered Cassandra Mitchell highly intoxicated in the parking lot at which time she was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.
  • 3:50 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a male subject wearing a mask sitting inside of a black Ford Crown Victoria in the parking lot area.  The vehicle left the business property prior to Law Enforcement arrival.
  • 7:33 a.m. – A female driver was reportedly passed out behind the wheel of a black Mercedes SL500 while parked at the fuel pumps at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street.  Responding Officers discovered Breanna Lynette Brown to be highly intoxicated at which time she was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Eric’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.
  • 11:13 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 2:44 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Shinetown Distillery at 857 James Taylor Drive.
  • 3:47 p.m. – A female resident reported money missing from her bedside table at a residence on North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 4:01 p.m. – A civil dispute between a customer and Management was reported at the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street regarding return of an open DVD.  Randolph Singleton, 63 of Ridgeland SC, was ultimately placed on trespass notice for the business property at Management’s request without incident.
  • 6:40 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported inside of a gray Ford Expedition traveling North on I-95 around the 25 mile marker.
  • 8:00 p.m. – A computer tablet was reportedly stolen from a residence on Grays Highway.
  • 8:05 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on Captain Bill Road in reference to the 8 year old son of the caller not being heard from for an extended period of time while staying with his Father.
  • 10:58 p.m. – A report of fireworks being ignited was filed at a residence on McTeer Street.

JULY 2, 2016

  • 12:06 a.m. – A suspicious white male was reported at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street.
  • 1:20 a.m. – A suspicious white female was reported on the Blue Heron Nature Trail.
  • 1:52 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 2:31 a.m. – Three suspicious black males were reportedly knocking on various doors at the Forest Motel at 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 3:31 a.m. – A white Toyota Camry was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 24 mile marker where driver Christopher Alexander Henderson was found to be operating under a suspended Florida driver’s license.  He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.
  • 3:34 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported outside of the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 4:45 a.m. – An assault was reported at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive after Management ordered a male tenant to leave the property when it was discovered that he had rented the room in violation of the motel policy of not renting to local residents.  The subject then became angry and threw a soda can at the Manager striking him in the face before leaving the property in a black Audi prior to Law Enforcement arrival. Surveillance video of the incident is being reviewed for pending charges.
  • 5:01 a.m. – A subject was reportedly smoking crack cocaine inside of an older model Dodge Neon with two small children inside of the vehicle in the parking lot of the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street.
  • 6:01 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after an open line 911 call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.  Responding Officers ultimately discovered a female subject beating on a tenant’s door across from the station at The Palms Motel.
  • 7:44 a.m. – A black Dodge Ram pickup and a white Ford cargo van were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker.  No injuries were reported.
  • 9:24 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Grayco Lumber & Hardware Supply store at 119 Industrial Park Road.
  • 10:19 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a Lexus.
  • 4:22 p.m. – Rodney Wright was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after Officers discovered him to be intoxicated and harassing a female customer in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.
  • 5:26 p.m. – A female resident was reportedly missing from a residence on Woods Court after being picked up from her home around 1 p.m. by a male subject she met online and not returning for an extended period of time.
  • 5:45 p.m. – A black male was witnessed arguing with a black female and forcing her inside of a gray Chevy SUV in the parking lot of the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street.  The vehicle then left the area traveling East prior to Law Enforcement arrival.
  • 7:45 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at a residence on McTeer Street in reference to barking dogs at a neighboring home.
  • 8:02 p.m. – A burgundy Chevy 1500 pickup and a red Suzuki motorcycle were involved in a collision at the intersection of East Main Street and North Jacob Smart Boulevard.  No injuries were reported.
  • 8:22 p.m. – A black Jeep Wrangler was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker where driver Melissa Sue Patton was found to be operating under a suspended Virginia driver’s license.  She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.
  • 8:45 p.m. – An iPhone 6 was stolen from a Guyton GA resident during the afternoon as they visited Bradley Beach in Hilton Head SC.  The phone was tracked by the victim to a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in Ridgeland where the persons inside declined to answer the door prompting the victim to contact Law Enforcement.  Responding Officers were ultimately able to make contact with the female tenant inside of the apartment at 9:34 p.m. who claimed that the phone had been taken from the beach by one of her children. The victim declined pursuing charges in the matter after the item was returned.
  • 9:22 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker in reference to a SUV traveling with no headlights in operation.
  • 10:00 p.m. – A green Chevy S-10 pickup struck an unoccupied silver Dodge Venture in the parking lot of the Shell Station at 8309 East Main Street. Responding Officers discovered the driver of the Chevy, Magnolio Vazquez-Perez, to be operating without driver’s license or proof of insurance as well as displaying a suspended South Carolina tag resulting in him being placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.  No injuries were reported in the collision.
  • 10:07 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to an activated alarm at a residence on Log Hall Road.

JULY 1, 2016

  • 5:44 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Citgo Station at 107 Sycamore Drive.
  • 9:17 a.m. – A Honda CRV, a GMC Terrain and a Volvo wagon were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker.  No injuries were reported.
  • 9:25 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.  The male property owner advised responding Officers that his cell phone had been stolen by his girlfriend, however he did not wish to pursue charges in the matter.
  • 11:02 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a silver Kia sedan.
  • 12:00 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 25 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.
  • 1:28 p.m. – A cell phone was reportedly lost at Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.
  • 2:23 p.m. – A burgundy Hyundai Accent parked at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard was struck by a Dodge pickup driven by a white male which then fled the area without reporting the collision.  If you have any information concerning the vehicle pictured below please contact Sgt.   • 2:33 p.m. – A group of juveniles were reportedly igniting fireworks at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street.
  • 3:20 p.m. – A loitering complaint was filed at Devonwood Apartments at 137 Captain Bill Road in reference to subjects consuming alcohol and smoking marijuana in the parking lot area.
  • 3:57 p.m. – A subject turned in a red medication bag to the Ridgeland Police Department at 11323 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after being found discarded. Information obtained inside identified the item as belonging to John A. Lawrence, 65 of Ridgeland.
  • 4:38 p.m. – A blue Ford Taurus and a gold Infiniti sedan were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker.  No injuries were reported.
  • 4:47 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Palmetto Isotopes Pharmacy at 405 Old House Road.
  • 5:11 p.m. – A brown and tan beach cruiser bicycle was reported stolen from a residence on Hagin Drive.
  • 8:25 p.m. – Several personal items were reported stolen from a tenant’s room at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive.  Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.
  • 9:16 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported outside of a residence on Wise Street.
  • 10:51 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 11 mile marker in reference to a gray Nissan Altima.
  • 11:07 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Myrtle Place.
