MARCH 31, 2016

7:45 a.m. – A black Ruger .380 LCP handgun was stolen from inside of a white Ford Expedition left unlocked during the overnight hours parked outside of a residence on Purdy Street.

1:09 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on East Smith Street in reference to a silver Nissan.

1:25 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Second Avenue at the North Jasper Street intersection in reference to a silver SUV.

1:56 p.m. – A tractor trailer hauling wide cargo was reportedly impeding traffic flow on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker.

4:36 p.m. – Two white males were reportedly walking on I-95 North at the exit 21 interchange.

4:44 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Jasper County Tax Auditors Office at 358 Third Avenue in reference to an employee receiving numerous unwanted telephone calls from an ex-boyfriend.

7:03 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Physical Therapy Office at 10616 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

9:50 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at a closed business on South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a purple Chevy Caprice.

MARCH 30, 2016

11:38 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 17 mile marker in reference to a white Honda.

12:26 p.m. – A property damage report was filed at a cellular tower location on East Frontage Road after a maintenance worker discovered several wires cut as well as a section of fencing surrounding the property. Evidence collected at the scene has been submitted to the Beaufort County Forensics Laboratory for analysis.

12:45 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was reported at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to subjects in the parking lot area.

2:34 p.m. – A suspicious white male was reported in a wooded area adjacent to the Jasper County Detention Center.

3:53 p.m. – Clinton Green was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after Patrol Officers responding to a male stumbling in the roadway at the intersection of West Main and North Green Street found him to be intoxicated.

5:08 p.m. – Ridgeland Offices assisted South Carolina Highway Patrol in responding to a motor vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 26 mile marker involving a tractor trailer. Upon arrival the vehicle was found to be fully engulfed in flames and a male subject lying on the ground nearby. Witness statements revealed that the vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a group of trees resulting in the cab igniting on fire. The driver then self extricated himself and traveled approximately 15 yards before collapsing on the roadside where he was ultimately pronounced dead. This incident is currently under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

6:46 p.m. – An assault was reported at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after 2 black males armed with handguns in a burgundy passenger car allegedly confronted the male victim in the parking lot and threatened to kill him. Both suspects left the area without further incident prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

8:22 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker in reference to a black passenger car.

MARCH 29, 2016

8:51 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Magistrates Office at 967 West Adams Street.

10:04 a.m. – A 43 year old black male tenant from the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 67 West Woodlawn Street was voluntarily transported by EMS from North Green Street to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation after making statements that he may wish to do harm to himself.

10:41 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 26 mile marker in reference to a silver Hyundai.

1:36 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on North Jasper Street after the female homeowner’s employer was unable to make contact with her for more than 48 hours.

3:36 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a burgundy Chevy Silverado.

3:45 p.m. – An assault was reported at the Advance Auto Parts Store at 10424 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a verbal altercation between a male subject and his stepson resulted in the younger male striking the victim with a vehicle door and threatening his life. A warrant affidavit has been filed against Jar’quest Fields, 19 of Ridgeland SC, charging him with assault & battery 3rd.

5:53 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Old House Road in reference to a silver Suzuki.

6:04 p.m. – A white female reportedly used two counterfeit $100 bills at the La Economica Store at 10822 North Jacob Smart Boulevard before fleeing the area on foot prior to Law Enforcement arrival. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

7:37 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a white tractor trailer traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

9:25 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the South State Bank at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

10:29 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the New Hong Kong Restaurant at 8126 East Main Street.

11:01 p.m. – Two suspicious males were reported behind the Citgo Station at 107 Sycamore Drive.

MARCH 28, 2016

1:29 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a silver Ford Focus.

3:17 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 25 mile marker in reference to a gray Kia.

7:15 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a blue and silver Ford Mustang.

10:12 a.m. – An animal complaint was filed at a residence on McCormack Avenue in reference to several stray cats in the area.

11:38 a.m. – A stray Husky was reported at the intersection of North Green and West Main Street.

11:51 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at Ned’s Pub & Grub at 11090 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after an employee arriving for work discovered a shattered front window. The incident is said to have occurred sometime after 5:30 p.m. on March 27th.

12:16 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 12 mile marker in reference to a tan Chevy Tahoe.

2:29 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the R&M Small Engine Repair Service at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

4:31 p.m. – A wallet was reported stolen from a residence on North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

6:57 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a black Chevy pickup.

7:15 p.m. – A blue Chevy Blazer and a silver Toyota 4 Runner were involved in a collision at the intersection of Jacob Smart Boulevard and Main Street. No injuries were reported.

8:50 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a black Cadillac SUV traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

MARCH 27, 2016

12:41 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a pregnant female was reported at The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after the female was reportedly kicked several times during an argument. While speaking with male suspect Jacque Rennia Pierce, 29 of Ridgeland SC, he threw a clear plastic pill bottle containing a quantity of crack cocaine to the ground and then turned and fled the area on foot running towards Adams Street. Three warrant affidavits have been filed against Pierce under the charges of domestic violence 2nd, possession of crack cocaine & littering.

5:49 a.m. – A black Kia Forte was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker where driver Taleshia Marvae Penciel, 25 of North SC, was found to be operating with a suspended tag as well as having no valid insurance coverage on the vehicle as passenger Keendric Damar Sackel was found to be listed as a wanted person by the Orangeburg County SC Sheriff’s Office. An inventory of the vehicle prior to being turned over to Blatchley’s Towing revealed a quantity of marijuana resulting in additional charges for Penciel and Sackel as well as for the remaining two passengers Sheron Denise Robinson, 47 of Savannah GA and David Lee McCoy-Robinson, 28 of Charleston SC. Penciel, Robinson & McCoy-Robinson were issued citations and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area as Sackel was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center pending extradition by the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.

8:02 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Sheffield Oil Station at 11033 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

8:37 a.m. – A silver Mitsubishi Outlander was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker where driver Andres Evangelista Anastacio was found to be operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.

9:37 a.m. – A silver Toyota Sequoia pulled to the side of the roadway without signaling on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker where passenger Maria Margarita Diaz exited the vehicle and began running South towards a Patrol Officer conducting a separate traffic stop. The driver of the Toyota then merged back onto the interstate again without signaling and began traveling South towards the same location. The vehicle and the pedestrian were both stopped by two responding backup Officers at which time driver Rodolfo Miguel was found to be operating without a driver’s license. The passenger he dropped off, Maria Margarita Mateo-Diaz, stated that she was related to the driver of the vehicle involved in the separate traffic stop and was attempting to get to that location in order to avoid the vehicle being towed. Both Miguel and Diaz were placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Hook Ups Towing took possession of the vehicle.

2:51 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on West Smith Street.

6:36 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 27 mile marker in reference to a gold Hyundai Sonata.

8:25 p.m. – A silver Toyota Camry was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker after the driver lost control and struck the center median guard wires. No injuries were reported.

9:24 p.m. – A black Chrysler 300 was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker after the driver lost control and struck the center median guard wires. No injuries were reported.

MARCH 26, 2016

12:49 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported at the intersection of East Main Street and South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a red pickup.

7:09 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a white Chevy pickup.

12:20 p.m. – A silver Chrysler Sebring was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 at the 22 North exit ramp after the driver lost control and struck a group of trees. One female passenger was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville.

12:40 p.m. – A purple Mazda 3 and a green Honda Accord were involved in a collision on East Main Street around the Henry Lawton Road intersection. No injuries were reported.

1:10 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Alternative School at 456 Grays Highway.

6:20 p.m. – A suspicious white male was reported on Mitchellville Road around the Ike Street intersection.

7:15 p.m. – Edward Dwayne Garvin was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department after Patrol Officers spotted him on East Main Street around the South Logan Street intersection. Garvin’s charges stemmed from a March 15th 2016 shoplifting incident at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where he was captured on surveillance video stealing store items. He then fled the area on foot after being confronted by Management but was soon after positively identified through review of the video footage. Garvin’s charges were enhanced from a misdemeanor to a felony due to numerous larceny convictions on his criminal record.

7:56 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to an activated alarm at GJ’s Used Cars at 10074 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after an open door was discovered.

8:37 p.m. – A report of possible gunshots being fired was reported in the North Ridge Community.

8:49 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to a possible domestic dispute.

8:55 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity and distribution was filed at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street.

10:09 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 36 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.

10:30 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on Oakridge North in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community after a female homeowner reported a possible burglary in progress.

11:22 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to subjects in the parking lot area.

11:27 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Bobops Convenience Store at 8548 Grahamville Road.

MARCH 25, 2016

1:14 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Smiths Crossing Road.

6:00 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Kirkland Correctional Facility at 4344 Broad River Road in Columbia where inmate James Lee Hill Jr. was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Hill’s charges stemmed from a September 3rd 2015 robbery at the Pan Fresco Olé Bakery at 7785 West Main Street where he was captured on surveillance video stealing the business cash register after implying that he had a weapon and then fleeing the area on foot to a waiting vehicle parked between the Main Street Pharmacy and the Fiddlers Seafood Restaurant. He then drove East ultimately discarding the empty register and other items near the intersection of Old House Road and Highway 462. Evidence collected was submitted to the Beaufort County Forensics Laboratory and the SLED Latent Print Laboratory ultimately positively identifying Hill through DNA and fingerprint analysis as the person who committed the offense. He was soon after arrested by the Bluffton Police Department under an unrelated theft charge in that jurisdiction and later committed to the Kirkland Facility where a hold was placed on him by the Ridgeland Police Department for pickup upon his release.

9:29 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

9:47 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a maroon Chevy Tahoe.

11:55 a.m. – A civil dispute was reported at the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 67 West Woodlawn Street in reference to an eviction dispute.

1:19 p.m. – An unsecured entry door was discovered at the Rivers Law Offices at 252 Russell Street. The building was cleared by responding Officers and secured prior to departure.

2:38 p.m. – A larceny of gasoline was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive after a tenant discovered the gas tank of their red Kia Sorento near empty after having filled it at approximately 8 p.m. the night before.

3:14 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a black Nissan Frontier.

3:59 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker in reference to a white compact vehicle impeding traffic flow.

5:35 p.m. – Two females were reportedly consuming alcohol in a red Suzuki Reno traveling West on Highway 278 around the Airport Road intersection.

6:33 p.m. – A suspicious group of white males and females was reported at the DSS Offices at 10908 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

7:54 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Pizza Hut Carryout at 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a white Ford Expedition.

10:12 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to a female shouting and cursing in the parking lot area.

MARCH 24, 2016

1:00 a.m. – An assault was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 16 year old male was struck in the face by a black male allegedly stemming from a previous unreported incident at Heron Crossing Apartments. The juvenile victim declined pursuing charges.

2:41 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Bobops Convenience Store at 8548 Grahamville Road.

5:42 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the South State Bank at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

10:14 a.m. – Officers responded to the North Ridge Community in reference to reports of several dogs roaming the neighborhood acting in an aggressive manner after having freed themselves from a faulty fence. The animals’ owner arrived on scene shortly after and secured them at which point a citation was issued under the charge of animal at large due to the dogs roaming the area being an ongoing problem.

12:39 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a white Ford F150 pickup.

2:30 p.m. – A green Pontiac Grand Am was removed from the area of the I-95 exit 18 off ramp by Elite Towing after having been left unattended for more than 72 hours.

5:31 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the SCDOT Facility at 112 East Woodlawn Street.

5:38 p.m. – A theft was reported at the La Economica Store at 10822 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a white male stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register as his white female accomplice kept the on duty clerk distracted. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

7:58 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between two female siblings was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community. Shareema Khamis Behlin, 30 of Ridgeland SC, was ultimately placed on trespass notice for the property at the complainant’s request.

MARCH 23, 2016

3:36 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the South State Bank at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

6:24 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Smiths Crossing Road.

9:18 a.m. – Two black males were reportedly attempting to solicit illegal narcotic sales in the parking lot of the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

11:15 a.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at the Property Manager’s Office on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community. Two suspects left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

11:45 a.m. – Three dogs were reportedly running loose on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community having freed themselves from a defective fence. Responding Officers were able to re secure the animals prior to departure.

12:35 p.m. – A stray dog was reported on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community.

12:40 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street after two 911 hang up calls were received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

1:12 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was reported at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street in reference to subjects inside of a vehicle in the parking lot area.

2:38 p.m. – A suspicious white male was reported on West Adams Street near the Sisters Ferry Road intersection.

4:49 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on McTeer Street after Patrol Officers spotted an open door.

5:13 p.m. – A tractor trailer hauling wide cargo was reportedly impeding traffic flow on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker.

6:05 p.m. – A dog bite was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community after a family pet was found to have suffered injury by another unknown dog in the area.

8:10 p.m. – A 1 year old bluenose pit bull was stolen from a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community by 3 black males.

MARCH 22, 2016

12:52 a.m. – Officers responded to the Pizza Hut Carryout at 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot after business hours where responding Officers discovered Donnell Sherman Singleton Jr. sleeping behind the wheel of a white Buick LeSabre. Once awakened he immediately exited the vehicle at which time a loaded handgun magazine fell to the ground and a Hi Point 9mm handgun was observed in plain view where he had been seated. Singleton was ultimately found to also be in possession of a quantity of marijuana resulting in an additional charge as he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. The vehicle was turned over to Little T’s Towing for removal from the business property.

10:22 a.m. – A civil dispute between 2 female customers was reported at the H&R Block Tax Office at 8120 East Main Street. A harassment complaint was later filed by one of the parties involved after receiving numerous unwanted messages on her cell phone.

2:46 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the intersection of Old Logan and South Logan Street.

6:01 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street after the female allegedly took money from the complainant who left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

7:18 p.m. – A black Ford Expedition and a blue Honda Pilot were involved in a collision in the parking area of the Ridgeland High School baseball fields at 562 Grays Highway. No injuries were reported.

MARCH 21, 2016

3:07 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of a red Toyota Yaris striking a piece of road debris at the corner of Smiths Crossing and South Jacob Smart Boulevard where driver Junior Alvarado Diaz was found to be operating while under the influence of alcohol as well as having no valid driver’s license. He was placed under arrest for the offenses at which time he was found to also be in possession of a quantity of marijuana resulting in an additional charge. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

9:20 a.m. – A black Dodge Ram pickup was stopped for a defective brake light violation at the I-95 Southbound exit 18 off ramp where driver Brian Keith Daugherty was found to be operating with no proof of valid insurance as well as under a suspended Pennsylvania driver’s license stemming from unpaid traffic fines. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

1:31 p.m. – A black Kia Optima was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 16 mile marker where driver Brittani K. Bove was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana and amphetamine salts. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Hook Ups Towing took possession of the vehicle.

3:03 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a tan Chevy Suburban.

3:46 p.m. – A suspicious white male was reportedly walking South on I-95 around the 17 mile marker.

5:02 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the R&M Small Engine Repair Service at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

5:40 p.m. – An incorrigible juvenile report was filed at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to the complainant’s 14 year old son refusing to go to school.

MARCH 20, 2016

12:03 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a report of two male subjects arguing by the side of the roadway on I-95 North around the 25 mile marker. Upon arrival John Henry Watson, 55 of North Charleston and James Andrew Brownlee, 59 of Charleston, were both found to be intoxicated engaged in a verbal dispute. They were both placed under arrest by Deputies and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the Lincoln MKZ they had been traveling in was turned over to Webster’s Towing.

12:32 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to loud music.

3:11 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the intersection of East Wilson and North Logan Street.

8:36 a.m. – A 43 year old male tenant of the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals was transported from Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

12:23 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a black Hyundai passenger car.

12:35 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a red passenger car.

1:09 p.m. – A white Chevy van was stopped for speeding and displaying an expired temporary tag in the parking lot of Webster’s Automotive at 10137 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where driver Derrick Leddisse Tuten was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license stemming from multiple failure to pay violations with one previous conviction for driving under suspension appearing on his history. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to the registered owner.

3:01 p.m. – A tan Chevy Trailblazer was stopped for speeding on South Jacob Smart Boulevard at the Smith’s Crossing intersection where driver Bernadino Barrios-Lopez was found to be operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle.

3:05 p.m. – William Walter Nunnally was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found highly intoxicated and stumbling in the roadway on Firefly Drive.

5:08 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker in reference to a gray passenger car.

7:04 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street in reference to a tenant shouting obscenities at the on duty female desk clerk during a dispute over a telephone. 7:06 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker in reference to a gray tractor trailer.

7:36 p.m. – An assault was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to a male subject allegedly threatening to shoot the caller’s son before leaving the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

7:47 p.m. – A suspicious white male was reported in the Oak Plantation Commons Community.

9:39 p.m. – Two males were reportedly robbed at gunpoint by 3 males in the area of North Railroad Avenue as they returned home from the Siesta Motel.

MARCH 19, 2016

3:17 a.m. – A suspicious person report was filed at a residence on Wise Street.

9:24 a.m. – A red Pontiac Grand Prix was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker where driver Kenneth Cord Zigler was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license stemming from failure to pay violations. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.

11:04 a.m. – A large motorhome became stuck in the center median on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker causing traffic congestion in both the Southbound and Northbound lanes for approximately 3 hours.

11:05 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a black Infiniti.

11:21 a.m. – A white Volkswagen Jetta and a gray Toyota Camry were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

11:36 a.m. – A red Saturn Vue was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker after the driver lost control and struck the center median guard wires. No injuries were reported.

12:37 p.m. – A black male was reportedly making threats and refusing to leave during a dispute over an order at the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street. The subject left the property of his own accord prior to Law Enforcement arrival without further incident.

1:17 p.m. – A silver Hyundai Accent and a red Ford F150 pickup were involved in a collision on I-95 North around the 20 mile marker where the driver of the Hyundai, Cheryl A. Keller, 44 of Washingtonville NY, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. She was cited and assigned a court date for the offense as well as traveling too fast for conditions before leaving the area with EMS as they transported a 6 year old child from the vehicle to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. Keller’s passenger, James Noone, was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found in possession of an additional quantity of marijuana.

2:50 p.m. – A maroon Chrysler van and a white GMC Sonoma were reportedly passing other motorists in the emergency lane while traveling North on I-95 between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

2:54 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Benson Lane.

3:30 p.m. – A legally parked and unoccupied silver Hyundai Sonata was struck by a Nissan Pathfinder which then fled the area without reporting the collision in the parking lot of the Star Point BP Station at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

4:04 p.m. – A silver BMW 750i and a blue Honda Odyssey were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

4:57 p.m. – Occupants in a dark colored Ford Escape were reportedly throwing items out onto the roadway while traveling North on I-95.

5:39 p.m. – A Penske box truck struck the drive thru lane awning at the Dairy Queen Restaurant at 80 Blue Heron Drive causing severe damage to the structure before fleeing the area without reporting the collision. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

5:39 p.m. – A civil complaint was filed at a residence at Devonwood Apartments at 137 Captain Bill Road in reference to an unauthorized Directv transaction appearing on the complainant’s bank statement.

6:44 p.m. – A lost purse was reported at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street after being accidentally left at the business by the complainant.

8:45 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 at the 33 mile marker in reference to a vehicle traveling South in the Northbound lanes.

8:55 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a group of black males playing loud music and shouting obscenities in the parking lot area.

MARCH 18, 2016

1:27 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Grayco Hardware and Lumber Supply Store at 119 Industrial Park Road.

1:28 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the SC Department of Transportation Facility at 112 East Woodlawn Street.

2:45 a.m. – T’Keyah Nicole Taylor was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued against her by the Ridgeland Police Department after being discovered at the Plantation Inn Motel at 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. Taylor’s charges stemmed from a September 27th 2014 traffic stop on Henry Lawton Road where she was arrested and charged with violation of beginner’s permit and operating uninsured. On September 29th she was arrested a second time after a domestic dispute at the Sheffield Oil Station at 11033 North Jacob Smart Boulevard resulted in her shoving a male subject into a kerosene pump causing damage. She was later found guilty off all listed charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on October 27th 2014 and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines and restitution which she failed to comply with resulting in 3 warrants being issued for her arrest.

2:53 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a report of two patrons fighting at Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. Both parties left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

7:24 a.m. – A gray Honda Accord, a white Ford F150 pickup, a blue Chrysler 300 and a blue Nissan Sentra were involved in a collision at the intersection of Highway 17 and Smith’s Crossing. The black male driver of the Accord, later determined to be responsible for the collision, immediately exited his vehicle and fled the area on foot running towards Sisters Ferry Road prior to Law Enforcement arrival. A 5 year old child was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. At 9:32 a.m. the registered owner of the Accord arrived at the Ridgeland Police Department to file a report of the vehicle being taken without permission prior to the collision.

7:41 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

10:48 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a white Dodge pickup.

1:24 p.m. – A theft was reported at the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after the female victim’s clothing was stolen from a washing machine sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

4:56 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of a male and a female arguing at the intersection of Highway 278 and North Jacob Smart Boulevard. Both parties separated walking in opposite directions upon observing Law Enforcement in the area. Dianne Lynn Cardozo was ultimately placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being determined to be highly intoxicated in front of the Pizza Hut Carryout at 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. She was later named as a primary suspect involved in a hit and run collision being investigated by South Carolina Highway Patrol on East Frontage Road just prior to her arrest.

7:34 p.m. – An attempted armed robbery was reported at The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a black male armed with a handgun demanded money from a 53 year old male tenant. The suspect then left the area after the victim fled on foot without sustaining injury. The victim declined pursuing charges in the incident.

7:47 p.m. – A white Chevy Avalanche was involved in a collision on Glover Road after allegedly being forced off of the roadway by a red pickup which fled the area. All 5 occupants stated they were driving themselves to to a hospital for treatment.

8:57 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 11 mile marker in reference to a gray Toyota Prius operating without headlights.

9:00 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Boat & RV Megastore at 401 Sycamore Drive after an open door discovered. No persons were found inside and the door was secured prior to Law Enforcement departure.

4:24 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 35 mile marker in reference to a white pickup.

7:25 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a Fedex Delivery truck traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

9:29 a.m. – A black male was reportedly walking in the center of the roadway on West Main Street.

10:27 a.m. – A civil dispute between a customer and employee was reported at the Exxon Station at 8310 East Main Street.

10:37 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Grahamville Road in reference to a white Chevy.

11:08 a.m. – Officers responded to a verbal dispute between a customer and employees at GJ’s Used Cars at 10074 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

12:35 p.m. – A black Chevy Cobalt was stopped at the Jasper County DSS Offices at 10908 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after Officers spotted Lisa Marie Schutt, who is known to not possess a valid driver’s license, behind the wheel. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1Towing took possession of the vehicle.

12:47 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Cherry Hill Road in reference to a green Toyota Tundra.

9:31 p.m. – A 16 year old black male juvenile was placed under arrest at his home on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community and transported to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Center at 1725 Shivers Road in Columbia after a pickup order was issued by the Jasper County DJJ Office stemming from a probation violation.

11:33 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 34 mile marker in reference to a silver Audi.

11:56 p.m. – A gray Dodge Ram pickup and a gray Toyota Corolla were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive. No injuries were reported.

MARCH 16, 2016

7:05 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker in reference to a silver tractor trailer.

8:02 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center where inmate Sharmay L. Bryan was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Bryan’s charges stemmed from an April 28th 2015 incident at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue where she was cited and assigned a court date under the charge of public disorderly conduct for her role in a fight involving numerous individuals. She then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court on May 11th 2015 to answer to the charge at which time she was found guilty during a trial in absence and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

8:09 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Courthouse at 265 Russell Street.

9:59 a.m. – A stray brown terrier was reported at Regions Bank at 11004 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

1:59 p.m. – A property damage report was filed at a vacant residence on Eleanor Avenue after the Property Manager discovered a broken entry door on the rear of the home.

2:08 p.m. – A group of juveniles were reportedly smoking and using profanity in the presence of smaller children at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street.

3:32 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 278 at the Malphrus Road intersection in reference to a maroon Mercury SUV.

4:48 p.m. – An incorrigible juvenile report was filed at a residence on Bailey Mill Lane in reference to the complainant’s 16 year old daughter refusing to come home when told.

8:10 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported behind the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

MARCH 15, 2016

7:40 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a white Dodge Charger.

9:09 a.m. – A white male was reportedly walking on the roadway on I-95 North at the exit 21 interchange entrance ramp.

12:11 p.m. – Mariano Amaro was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found intoxicated and lying on the ground consuming alcohol in a wooded area between McCormack Avenue and the Carters Mill Estates Community.

1:11 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a white mini van traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

1:46 p.m. – A 55 year old white male was voluntarily transported from the Jasper County Board of Disabilities at 1512 Grays Highway to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation after allegedly making statements that he may wish to do harm to himself.

2:56 p.m. – A Glock 9mm handgun was reported stolen from a tenant’s room at The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after being left unsecured inside of the room for a short period of time.

4:40 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Nimmer Turf business offices at 524 Nimmer Turf Road.

6:42 p.m. – A shoplifting was reported at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a black male was captured on surveillance video stealing store items. The suspect fled the area on foot running towards North Green Street when confronted by Management. The footage is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

8:15 p.m. – A report of several gunshots being fired was filed at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

MARCH 14, 2016

5:22 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Pizza Bella Restaurant at 8196 East Main Street.

3:25 p.m. – A runaway juvenile report was filed by the Mother of a 16 year old male when he refused to return home after being dropped off at a Barber Shop on South Jacob Smart Boulevard. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Darick McPherson Jr. please dial 911 or contact Jasper County Emergency Services at 843-726-7519. He is described as a black male standing 5′ 6″ high and weighing 115 pounds. He was last seen on March 13th wearing a blue sweater, khaki pants and burgundy sneakers.

3:48 p.m. – A reckless driver report was filed on I-95 North around the 24 mile marker in reference to a small group of 4 motorcycles.

5:44 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of Hagin and Ingram Streets in reference to a gray Chrysler convertible passenger car.

6:49 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported at the intersection of Augusta Avenue and Wise Street in reference to a white pickup.

7:00 p.m. – A harassment report was filed by an employee at the Bobops Station at 8548 Grahamville Road in reference to unwanted telephone calls from the Father of her children.

7:24 p.m. – Walter Aaron Abrams was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being determined to be intoxicated in the parking lot of the Bobops Station at 8548 Grahamville Road.

8:22 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported at the Ridgeland High School baseball field in reference to a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed with children present in the area.

MARCH 13, 2016

11:18 a.m. – A blue Chevy Impala and a green Chevy Silverado pickup were involved in a collision at the intersection of Sycamore Drive and Highway 336. No injuries were reported.

11:43 a.m. – A complaint of 4 wheelers being operated on private property was filed in reference to a wooded area on East Frontage Road.

11:50 a.m. – A reckless driver report was filed in reference to 3 motorcycles traveling North on I-95 around the 15 mile marker.

4:10 p.m. – A black Volkswagen Tiguan was stopped for speeding on South Jacob Smart Boulevard at the Kato Bay Road intersection where driver Julie Elizabeth Fiorillo, 24 of Ridgeland SC, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. She was cited and assigned a court date for the offenses prior to leaving the area.

4:19 p.m. – A wallet was turned over to Officers at the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street after being discovered lying in the roadway at the intersection of Jacob Smart Boulevard and Main Street by a concerned citizen. The wallet was found to contain cash and several pieces of identification which will be returned to the rightful owner.

4:55 p.m. – A black Ford Mustang was tracked at 54 mph in a 35 mph speed zone while traveling North on Highway 17. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle at which time the driver accelerated in an attempt to evade Law Enforcement. A short pursuit ensued as the suspect turned onto East Adams Street and then South on Logan Street ultimately circling back to South Jacob Smart Boulevard via Bees Creek Road as backup Officers were dispatched. The suspect ultimately turned into a residential driveway next to Club Pluto on South Jacob Smart Boulevard where driver Lewis Beaton IV exited and fled into a wooded area running towards the Mitchellville Community. A search of his vehicle revealed his South Carolina driver’s license as well as a quantity of marijuana resulting in additional charges prior to being turned over to Elite Towing for removal from the area. Beaton later turned himself in to Officers at the Ridgeland Police Department at 6:21 p.m. where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

5:30 p.m. – A male and a female were reportedly shouting and arguing at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

7:20 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a white Nissan Altima traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

9:27 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted on a female at a residence on North Green Street after an out of town relative was unable to make contact for an extended period of time.

1:23 a.m. – A gray Jeep Cherokee was stopped for several moving violations in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where driver Montriel Lashawn Davis was found to be operating while under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

9:32 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Pizza Bella Restaurant at 8196 East Main Street.

10:13 a.m. – A strong arm robbery was reported at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive after a black male forcibly stole a cell phone belonging to another male from his girlfriend during an argument and fled the area. The victim declined pursuing charges.

11:41 a.m. – A suspicious Hispanic male was reported in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community.

12:01 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 17 in reference to a green Chevy pickup traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

5:48 p.m. – A loitering complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to subjects standing around in the parking lot area.

6:04 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the K&L Granite Showroom at 11742 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

6:16 p.m. – A report was filed in reference to dirt bikes and 4 wheelers being operated on Smiths Crossing Road between South Logan Street and Mitchellville Road.

6:59 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was filed at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street.

7:24 p.m. – A male subject was reportedly throwing stones at patrons, vehicles and staff at Ned’s Pub & Grub at 11090 North Jacob Smart Boulevard before leaving the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival. Michael Eric Hutcheson was soon after located by responding Officers beside the Carquest Auto Parts store located across the street where he was determined to be intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the female victim declined pursuing charges in reference to the stones being thrown.

8:19 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 12 mile marker in reference to a blue motorcycle.

9:58 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was filed at the Forrest Motel at 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

10:36 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reportedly parked in a field at the intersection of Tarboro and Nimmer Turf Road.

2:09 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted South Carolina Highway Patrol in responding to a single vehicle collision involving a gray Toyota Camry at the intersection of Bees Creek Road and Ingram Street. The driver was airlifted to Savannah Memorial Hospital.

4:52 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 26 mile marker in reference to a gray BMW.

10:39 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 17 at the North Green Street intersection in reference to a brown Toyota Rav-4.

5:07 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a silver passenger car.

6:07 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to a residence on Great Swamp Road where Jasper County Deputies responding a report of a stolen firearm discovered victim Madison Beckett Horry to be listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department. He was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Horry’s charges stemmed from an October 16th 2015 traffic stop at the intersection of West Main and South Green Street where he was cited and assigned a court date after being found in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court on November 16th to answer to the charge resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.

7:14 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 11 mile marker in reference to a blue pickup.

7:34 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was filed in reference to the Forrest Motel at 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

7:01 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Spay & Neuter Animal Clinic at 21 Getsinger Street.

8:39 a.m. – Roy Kevin Scott turned himself in to Officers at the Ridgeland Police Department at 11323 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to two outstanding warrants Scott’s charges stemmed from a March 5th incident at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street where he assaulted a female subject he was sharing a room with by tightening a telephone cord around her neck before fleeing the area with stolen cash prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

9:30 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 32 mile marker in reference to an A.R.I. Logistics tractor trailer.

10:48 a.m. – A white Buick Lucerne was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker where passenger Katherine Diane Spencer, 24 of Raleigh NC, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. She was cited for the offense and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

12:17 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker in reference to a gray Nissan Altima.

2:50 p.m. – A burglary was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community after the homeowner returned at 12:00 p.m. to find that a door had been kicked in and items stolen from inside of the home.

4:29 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Weathersbee Street in reference to a dark blue passenger car.

8:47 p.m. – An Oldsmobile Achieva and a Ford F150 pickup were involved in a collision on Highway 278 at the North Green Street intersection. No injuries were reported.

MARCH 7, 2016

12:45 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted South Carolina Highway Patrol in responding to a collision on Allen Drive at the Henry Lawton intersection involving a red Toyota Camry and a second unknown vehicle which fled the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

8:28 a.m. – Two tractor trailers were reportedly impeding traffic flow on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker.

8:36 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Courthouse at 265 Russell Street.

9:25 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at the Blue Heron Nature Center at 321 Bailey Lane after an employee arriving for work discovered deep tire ruts in a grassy area outside of the building.

6:09 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was filed in reference to a gray Chevy Suburban on West Main Street.

6:43 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at the Plantation Inn Motel at 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to unpaid rental fees..

7:44 p.m. – A property damage report was filed at a residence on Three Tee Circle in the North Ridge Community after the complainant’s nephew kicked the front door of the residence.

8:56 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a flat bed tractor trailer.

MARCH 6, 2016

6:55 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.

7:47 a.m. – A white Chevy Cobalt was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker where driver Wesley Zadey Williams Jr., 23 of Bloomburg PA, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

11:43 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a dark colored pickup.

12:09 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 29 mile marker in reference to a large white pickup.

3:00 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 10 mile marker in reference to a driver texting while operating a tan Toyota Camry.

5:44 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male driver and a female passenger was reported at the intersection of South Jacob Smart Boulevard and East Main Street after the female refused to exit the vehicle at the owner’s request. The subjects separated of their own accord prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

7:10 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to children in the parking lot area.

8:17 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 32 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.

8:23 p.m. – A strong arm robbery was reported at the Advance Auto Parts Store in reference to an unreported incident that allegedly occurred earlier in the evening at the Exxon Station at 8310 East Main Street. The complainant refused to cooperate with the responding Officer attempting to gather information.

11:32 p.m. – A white Mercedes ML500 was stopped for several moving violations on Glover Road where driver Catherine Irene Daugherty was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

MARCH 5, 2016

10:45 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of an assault at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street after a 33 year old female tenant was awakened by a male acquaintance sharing the room with her tying a cord around her neck and attempting to strangle her. The victim was ultimately able to break free of her assailant at which point the male stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area on foot. After reviewing surveillance video and gathering evidence two warrant affidavits were filed against Roy Kevin Scott, 41 of Ridgeland SC, under the charges of attempted murder and strong arm robbery.

12:28 p.m. – A report of reckless driving and illegal drug activity was reported on Preacher Street at the Captain Bill Road intersection in reference to a black Chevy Camaro.

1:22 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed in reference to loud music coming from the Ridgeland Farmer’s Market at 9935 South Jacob Smart Boulevard during a scheduled private event.

2:05 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted SC Highway Patrol Officers conducting a traffic stop on a silver Dodge Durango on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker where driver Itaski Yvette White, 40 of North Charleston SC, was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license as well as being listed as a wanted person by the Berkeley County SC Sheriff’s Office. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

2:13 p.m. – A black Chevy Camaro was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 24 mile marker where driver Dashaun J. Harrison was found to be operating under an expired Virginia driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.

4:32 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 29 mile marker in reference to a red and black motorcycle.

9:27 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street after relatives were unable to make contact with a female tenant for an extended period of time.

10:49 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to loud music in the parking lot area.

7:25 a.m. – A suspicious black male was reported in front of the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street.

1:19 p.m. – A black Acura TL was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 25 mile marker where driver Daniel C. Martin, 65 of Staten Island NY, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

2:33 p.m. – A gray Lexus RX350 and a blue Hyundai Elantra were involved in a collision on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

3:22 p.m. – A missing purse containing identification cards was reported at a residence at Devonwood Apartments at 137 Captain Bill Road.

4:13 p.m. – A Ford F150 and a Chevy C1500 were involved in a collision at the intersection of Highway 278 and North Green Street. No injuries were reported.

5:35 p.m. – A Nissan Altima and a Lexus RX were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

7:59 p.m. – A domestic dispute was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

8:44 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was reported at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a black SUV in the parking lot.

9:14 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on East Woodlawn Street.

10:52 p.m. – A set of house keys was reported missing from a residence on Malphrus Street.

MARCH 3, 2016

2:21 a.m. – A blue Ford Econoline van was stopped for several moving violations at the intersection of Old House and Summer Hill Road where driver Lazarto Maquez Smith was found to be operating while under the influence of alcohol as well as under a suspended Georgia driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

3:30 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where Amanda Lorraine Baker, 31 of Ridgeland SC, was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to two outstanding felony failure to appear warrants issued against her. Baker’s charges stemmed from a January 6th 2015 incident where she was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine during a traffic stop at Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street and a June 6th 2015 incident where she was arrested and charged after placing a fictitious 911 call claiming that a shooting and hostage situation were taking place at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. She then failed to appear in General Sessions Court for a scheduled roll call on both charges resulting in two warrants being issued for her arrest.

8:16 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

8:44 a.m. – Ronald Cottrell and Aaron M. Spurbeck were both placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found consuming alcohol while sitting underneath the I-95 overpass at the exit 22 interchange.

9:45 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Alternative School at 456 Grays Highway.

11:06 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female occurred at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community. Officers remained on scene as the female complainant gathered personal belongings and departed the area of her own accord.

3:36 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Bees Creek Road.

5:51 p.m. – An assault report was filed at a residence at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street in reference to the female complainant allegedly being struck in the face by the father of her child during a previously unreported incident on yesterday’s date.

6:22 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

8:12 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 11 mile marker in reference to a blue tractor trailer.

MARCH 2, 2016

3:24 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female occurred at a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community resulting in the female being struck and dragged through the residence by her hair before the male ultimately left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival. A warrant was then issued against Carl Matthew Long who later turned himself in to Officers at the Ridgeland Police Department at 2:14 p.m. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:44 a.m. – A black male with an open container of alcohol was reportedly walking into traffic in front of the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

11:52 a.m. – A civil dispute was reported at the Subway Restaurant at 8234 East Main Street in reference to a tax form allegedly being withheld.

11:59 a.m. – A bicycle reportedly fell from a vehicle while traveling South on I-95 around the 19 mile marker.

2:04 p.m. – A gray Ford Explorer was stopped for speeding at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and North Green Street where driver Joseph Alan Holmes was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Eric’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

2:24 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a Mother and her 23 year old son was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community. Both parties agreed to separate until the situation de-escalated. Officers were dispatched to the same residence a second time at 4:30 p.m. after the male allegedly broke several items inside of the home.

5:36 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Logan Lane Apartment Complex at 544 South Logan Street in reference to shouting heard coming from the area.

8:18 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Glover Road.

11:47 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a white panel truck with unsecured cargo.

MARCH 1, 2016

6:34 a.m. – Two tractor trailers were reportedly blocking traffic in both lanes of travel on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker,

7:15 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a red Southeastern tractor trailer.

9:16 a.m. – A suspicious black male driving a black pickup was reported on Bailey Lane.

9:19 a.m. – A complaint was filed at the Ridgeland Police Department at 11323 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a previously unreported assault that allegedly occurred at the Blue Heron Nature Trail on February 27th 2016 after a 19 year old male struck the complainant’s 17 year old daughter in the face during a dispute. The victim declined pursuing charges.

4:03 p.m. – A black male was reportedly walking on the center line of the roadway at the intersection of West Main Street and South Railroad Avenue.
