THE FOLLOWING INCIDENTS ARE AN ACCOUNT OF CALLS AND CASES RESPONDED TO BY OFFICERS OF THE RIDGELAND POLICE DEPARTMENT. THESE CASES ARE CLOSED OR CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION. SEPTEMBER 30, 2015

7:41 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

10:45 a.m. – A black Volkswagen Beetle was stopped for a lane change violation on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker where driver Kenneth R. Brodeur, 31 of Springfield MA, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date before leaving the area.

12:07 p.m. – A larceny was reported at the Boat & RV Megastore at 401 Sycamore Drive in reference to a missing business ledger.

2:05 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on Live Oak Farm Road after suspicious text messages were received by the complainant in Georgia from a male tenant.

4:28 p.m. – A single axle vehicle tow dolly was reported stolen from Ken’s Tire Service Center at 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. The incident is said to have occurred on August 22nd but was not immediately reported.

4:32 p.m. – An assault was reported at a residence on Oakridge North in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community after a 14 year old male struck his brother during a dispute. The victim declined pursuing charges.

5:59 p.m. – A gray Dodge Ram pickup was involved in a single vehicle collision at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Highway 278 when the driver lost control and struck a tree. No injuries were reported.

7:37 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Detective Annex at 1460 Carters Mill Road.

8:18 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to a dispute between a female complainant and her Mother regarding custody of her son.

9:23 p.m. – A harassment complaint was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive in reference to suspicious text messages.

9:38 p.m. – A red Chevy Silverado pickup was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker after striking a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported.

SEPTEMBER 29, 2015

1:53 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the R&M Small Engine Repair Shop at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

10:18 a.m. – Richard Louis Sullivan was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of the Citgo Station at 107 Sycamore Drive.

10:41 a.m. – A black Hyundai passenger car was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker after the driver lost control and struck a group of trees. One occupant was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

1:06 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to a black male threatening the complainant’s son. The suspect left the property prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

2:39 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted SCHP with traffic control following a two vehicle collision on Old House Road at the Honey Hill intersection involving a Fiat 500 and a Mazda Protegé.

3:03 p.m. – A blue Mercury Grand Marquis was involved in a single vehicle collision when the driver attempted to turn into the former El Ranchito Restaurant location at 11469 North Jacob Smart Boulevard and became struck in a large sinkhole. No injuries were reported.

3:20 p.m. – A white Lexus and a tan Chevy Cavalier were involved in a collision at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Wilson Street. One occupant was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

10:35 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted in the area of the I-95 North exit 22 interchange after an open line 911 call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services originating from the area.

SEPTEMBER 28, 2015

12:41 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted on an 84 year old male from Tappahannock VA operating a Penske rental truck at the 24 mile marker on I-95 South after a 911 call was received from him asking to be told where he was located. Responding Officers ultimately determined the male to be in an altered mental status at which time he was voluntarily transported by EMS Personnel to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation. Family members in Virginia were notified of the incident at which time it was learned that the male had not been seen or heard from in the last 24 hours when he left Ashland VA and that a missing persons report had been filed with the Hanover VA Police Department. The vehicle was removed from the area by J&M Towing pending pick up by family members en route from Virginia.

9:25 a.m. – A gold Jeep Liberty was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker after the driver lost control and overturned in the center median guard wires. No injuries were reported.

10:23 a.m. – An assault was reported at the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street after two black males approached an employee in the parking lot pointing a handgun and threatening to kill him. The suspects then fled the area in a vehicle operated by a female prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

10:23 a.m. – Patrol Officers spotted Henry Shawn Spann, who is listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department, walking on East Woodlawn Street where he immediately fled the area on foot after seeing Law Enforcement presence. A foot pursuit ensued as Spann ran through a wooded area heading Northwest as backup Officers established a containment perimeter. He was ultimately taken into custody without further incident behind a residence on East Adams Street and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Spann’s charges stemmed from a December 8th 2014 larceny at a residence on North Logan Street where he stole the homeowner’s cell phone and fled the area on foot. He was then arrested for the offense on January 2nd 2015 during a traffic stop on East Wilson Street where he provided Officers with a fictitious name in an effort to conceal his identity. He was found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on January 12th 2015 and placed on a time payment plan to settle the Court ordered fines which he failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest. Additional charges came about on August 29th 2015 after a Varnville resident reported unauthorized charges on their debit card at the Quality Inn Motel, the Waffle House Restaurant and the Jaspers Porch Restaurant over the course of three days. Surveillance video revealed Henry Spann to be the person responsible resulting in two additional warrants being issued for his arrest. Codefendant Marie Cramer Powell, 32 of Bluffton SC, remains at large stemming from the financial transaction card fraud incidents.

1:14 p.m. – A 43 year old male resident of the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals complex at 67 West Woodlawn Street was transported from the Jasper County Mental Health Office to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation after a pick up order was issued by the Jasper County Probate Office at the request of Mental Health staff.

4:05 p.m. – Patrol Officers spotted Jonathan Stevenson at the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals complex at 67 West Woodlawn Street where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Stevenson’s charges stemmed from a December 13th 2014 incident at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street where he assaulted a female victim during a domestic dispute before fleeing the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

4:53 p.m. – A report was filed of male subjects making handgun gestures towards a complainant at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and East Main Street.

6:45 p.m. – A property damage report was filed at Dot’s Red Dot beverage store at 163 South Green Street after the business owner discovered a broken window.

9:57 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Gretsch Manufacturing Facility at 248 Grays Highway in reference to a black Honda Civic.

10:26 p.m. – A white male on a silver moped was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money at several East Main Street businesses.

SEPTEMBER 27, 2015

12:03 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the New Hong Kong Restaurant at 8176 East Main Street.

12:47 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to loud music coming from a neighboring residence.

1:08 a.m. – A black male was reportedly beating a white female at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street. The male suspect departed the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival and the female victim declined pursuing the matter stating that it was a verbal argument over a cell phone.

3:35 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a fight in progress at Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard involving numerous subjects which began inside of the club and spilled out into the parking lot. Prior to Law Enforcement arrival several of the instigators involved in the fight fled the area in a white SUV heading towards the Mitchellville area. While questioning possible victims and witnesses in the parking lot several gunshots were fired from the wooded area behind the club bordering Mitchellville at which time club Management was ordered to shut down for the night. Moments later several more gunshots were fired as Deputies traveled to the Mitchellville area where they attempted a traffic stop on a white Chevy Avalanche which accelerated aggressively attempting to evade Law Enforcement initiating a pursuit. The suspect vehicle turned onto Apple Blossom Road until it reached a dead end at which time two black males exited and fled the area on foot. A loaded AR-15 assault rifle was recovered from inside of the vehicle prior to it being towed from the area.

4:16 a.m. – A brown Buick Regal was involved in a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 17 and Smiths Crossing Road after the driver lost control and struck a roadside drainage ditch. The vehicle was found unoccupied by the responding Officer and removed from the area by J&M Towing.

1:12 p.m. – Officers responded to a domestic dispute between a brother and sister at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 267 Heron Crossing Road where Prince-Treshawn Alvante Polite, 17 of Johns Island SC, was placed on trespass notice at the request of the homeowner and the Property Manager.

1:18 p.m. – A white male was reportedly walking South on I-95 around the 18 mile marker.

3:03 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Gretsch Manufacturing Facility at 248 Grays Highway.

4:27 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 209 Heron Crossing Road after an open line 911 call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

5:08 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on North Railroad Avenue.

5:21 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 462 in reference to a red Ford F150 pickup.

6:48 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the R&M Small Engine Repair Center at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

9:13 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to an unoccupied white Nissan with an open door.

9:35 p.m. – An assault between a 35 year old female and a 17 year old male was reported at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue. The victim declined pursuing charges but wished the matter to be documented.

9:48 p.m. – A breach of trust was reported at a residence on McCormack Avenue in reference to the caller’s beige Toyota Corolla not being returned at the agreed upon time after being loaned to an acquaintance one week prior.

11:07 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the New Hong Kong Restaurant at 8176 East Main Street.

11:19 p.m. – A female subject in the Carters Mill Estates Community was voluntarily transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation after reportedly making statements that she may wish to do harm to herself.

SEPTEMBER 26, 2015

12:13 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort SC where inmate Kenneth Linword Singleton was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Singleton’s charges stemmed from a February 22nd 2015 traffic stop on Ables Drive where he was arrested and charged with open container of alcohol. He was then found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on April 20th and placed on a time payment plan to settle the Court ordered fines which he failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.

12:44 a.m. – Damond Rashad Bisbee was placed under arrest while walking North on I-95 around the 22 mile marker after having been warned three hours prior of the laws pertaining to pedestrians on the interstate. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

1:21 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the South State Bank at 10671 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a white male.

2:13 a.m. – A gold Hyundai was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker where driver Joseph Holmes was found to be operating under a suspended Georgia driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger with Holmes’ permission.

7:40 a.m. – A larceny was reported at a residence at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street in reference to an undisclosed amount of cash being stolen from the complainant’s Chevy Caprice during the nighttime hours.

7:45 a.m. – A harassment was reported at the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street in reference to an employee receiving unwanted telephone calls from an ex-girlfriend.

10:51 a.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street in reference to someone continuously knocking on a tenant’s door.

1:20 p.m. – A reckless driver report was filed in reference to a large group of motorcycles traveling West on Snake Road.

1:26 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a residence on Rice Shire Road after Monique L. Beacher-Riley, 38 of Ridgeland SC, shot her 47 year old estranged husband during a domestic dispute. The victim was able to wrestle the handgun away from his attacker when the firing mechanism jammed and flee to a neighboring residence to call for help as Officers were dispatched. Riley ultimately exited the residence at which time she was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under the charge of attempted murder. The victim was transported by EMS Personnel to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

2:37 p.m. – A report of several gunshots being fired was filed on Stellars Jay Road.

4:09 p.m. – A road rage incident was reported in the parking lot of the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a female driver shouting and cursing at another vehicle in the parking lot.

7:30 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker in reference to a black Toyota Tundra.

8:34 p.m. – Two suspicious persons were reported on East Main Street under the I-95 viaduct in reference to a white male and a black male.

9:23 p.m. – A report was filed of a lost cell phone after the complainant accidentally left an iPhone in the parking lot of the Citgo Station at 107 Sycamore Drive. A responding Officer recovered the phone and returned it to the owner.

SEPTEMBER 25, 2015

6:48 a.m. – A burglary was reported at the Subway Restaurant at 8234 East Main Street after an employee arriving for work discovered a shattered window. Surveillance video revealed a black male entering the business at approximately 4:30 a.m. and stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.

7:29 a.m. – A radio was stolen from an unlocked Honda Civic parked outside of a residence on North Green Street during the overnight hours.

8:51 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

9:14 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Colleton County Detention Center at 22 Klein Street in Walterboro SC where inmate Elmore Wade Blackshear was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Blackshear’s charges stemmed from a July 28th 2015 incident at the Star Point BP Station at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where he attempted to cash a forged check.

9:17 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at Schooner’s Bar & Grill at 10953 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

9:39 a.m. – A silver Cadillac Deville was stopped at the intersection of Grahamville and Bees Creek Road after a check of the suspended license plate showed it to be registered to a Jeep Liberty. Driver Dominique Santore West was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license with one previous conviction for driving under suspension on her record at which time she was placed under arrest. Passenger Eli Katis Blackshear was found to be listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from a September 23rd incident at 8250 East Main Street where he instigated a fight with another customer resulting in several hundred dollars worth of property damage. Additionally, he was found to be listed as a wanted person by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an outstanding narcotics warrant at which time he was placed under arrest. Both subjects were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

9:43 a.m. – An unlocked Chevy Tahoe was reportedly rummaged thru while parked outside of a residence on Third Avenue during the overnight hours.

11:10 a.m. – A routine review of surveillance footage at the Advance Auto Parts Store at 10424 South Jacob Smart Boulevard revealed a white male concealing store items in a bag and then returning them for a store credit refund. The incident initially occurred on September 23rd resulting in a harassment complaint from other store customers regarding the same white male attempting to sell a store gift card in the parking lot.

11:33 a.m. – A stray black pit bull found wandering the area of Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community was taken to the Jasper Animal Rescue Mission at 1352 Carters Mill Road, (843-726-7799).

2:25 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community.

2:25 p.m. – A report of gunshots being fired was filed on Tarboro Road.

3:14 p.m. – A larceny was reported at the R&M Small Engine Repair Service at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a business owned tool being stolen sometime in the last two weeks.

3:19 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

3:20 p.m. – A complaint was filed at a residence on Captain Bill Road in reference to a school bus driver dropping off the complainant’s children and maliciously closing the bus door on their Mother.

3:43 p.m. – A SCE&G light pole on the I-95 North on ramp at the exit 21 interchange was damaged after a flatbed trailer became detached from the blue mini van towing it and struck the post. No injuries were reported.

7:41 p.m. – An incorrigible juvenile report was filed at a residence on Pine Forest Loop in reference to the caller’s 15 year old son refusing to return home at curfew. He was shortly after located at the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street and returned to the custody of his Mother without incident.

8:50 p.m. – A subject was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street.

8:52 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive in reference to a white male following the complainant and shouting at her family in the parking lot as they got into their vehicle to leave.

9:11 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at a residence on Russell Street in reference to a barking dog at a neighboring home.

9:34 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street in reference to a black male.

10:46 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to a green Chevy Silverado occupied by several subjects consuming alcohol while parked in the roadway.

10:50 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at a residence on East Main Street.

11:23 p.m. – A black Volvo was stopped for a defective headlight violation on North Green Street where driver Zachary Austin Taylor, 19 of Ridgeland SC, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.
SEPTEMBER 24, 2015

7:20 a.m. – A white Acura MDX and a red Toyota Solara were involved in a collision on South Jacob Smart Boulevard between the Adams Street and Main Street intersection. No injuries were reported.

8:30 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker in reference to a red cab tractor trailer.

9:05 a.m. – An incorrigible juvenile was reported at the intersection of Russell Street and Third Avenue in reference to a 12 year old juvenile male refusing to go to school.

9:15 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Pizza Bella Restaurant at 8196 East Main Street.

11:03 a.m. – A white Nissan Altima and a silver Volkswagen Golf were involved in a collision at the intersection of South Jacob Smart Boulevard and Adams Street. No injuries were reported.

12:14 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of a disabled vehicle parked in the roadway on Great Swamp Road neat the First Avenue intersection where one of the vehicle occupants, Ashley Pratt Lowther, provided a false name in an effort to conceal his identity. After being recognized by one of the responding Officers a check of Lowther’s information revealed him to be listed as a wanted person by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an outstanding Family Court warrant. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was moved safely out of the roadway.

4:29 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 31 mile marker in reference to a silver Ford SUV.

5:06 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Bennett Law Firm at 108 Third Avenue.

7:23 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 16 mile marker in reference to a gray SUV.

7:55 p.m. – A black Honda Accord was involved in a single vehicle collision on North Jacob Smart Boulevard just before the I-95 exit 22 interchange after striking a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported.

8:41 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 14 mile marker in reference to a gray passenger car with no headlights in operation.

11:09 p.m. – A white Cadillac SLS was stopped for a defective lighting and suspended tag violation on East Main Street at the Ryan Street intersection where driver Shakithia Lashell Leonard, 35 of Ridgeland SC, was found to be operating with no valid insurance coverage. She was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

SEPTEMBER 23, 2015

5:34 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a green Old Dominion tractor trailer.

7:55 a.m. – A stray tan and white pit bull was reported wandering on Grays Highway near the Malphrus Road intersection.

9:47 a.m. – A gray Mazda 3 was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 20 mile marker where driver Tristian Kay Tidd was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.
10:04 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and his 18 year old grandson was reported at a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

10:54 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker in reference to a black sedan.

12:01 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 16 mile marker in reference to a silver Honda.

1:01 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at Lender’s Loans at 7789 West Main Street in reference to unwanted telephone calls.

1:38 p.m. – A silver Toyota Camry was stopped for an expired tag violation on Dolphin Drive in the Carters Mill Estates Community where driver Tabatha Leshay Bryan, 36 of Ridgeland, was found to be operating with no valid insurance coverage. She was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle.

3:29 p.m. – A customer discovered a lost wallet in the parking lot of a business at 8250 East Main Street and contacted Law Enforcement to turn the property over. The rightful owner arrived on scene prior to the responding Officer’s departure and the item was returned.

8:02 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Advance Auto Parts Store at 10424 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a white male in the parking lot attempting to sell a store gift card to customers and passers by.

9:17 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road in reference to a small blue pickup.

10:01 p.m. – Three black males became involved in a fight inside of a business at 8250 East Main Street causing substantial property damage before ultimately fleeing the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival. Surveillance video of the incident is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

SEPTEMBER 22, 2015

12:11 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend was reported at a residence on East Adams Street. The victim declined pursuing charges and the male party was ordered to leave the property without further incident.

12:39 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

12:51 a.m. – Two suspicious persons were reported at the Subway Restaurant at 8234 East Main Street.

6:20 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Charleston County Detention Center at 3841 Leeds Avenue in Charleston SC where inmate Sidney Thomas Layden IV was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Layden’s charges stemmed from a June 5th 2015 traffic stop where he was cited for speeding, driving under suspension and no proof of insurance. He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court on June 22nd where he was found guilty of the charges during a trial in absence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

6:24 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a gray Toyota 4 Runner.

8:32 a.m. – Patrol Officers spotted Angel Lynn Rose walking on East Main Street where she was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Rose’s charges stemmed from a September 23rd 2014 traffic stop where she was cited for driving under suspension. She was then found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on October 27th 2014 and sentenced to a term of Community Service which she failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest.

12:08 p.m. – A report was filed by a resident at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street after a black male ran through the front door and out of the back door stating that another black male had pointed a handgun at him. Officers traveled to the area where the two parties involved were ultimately located; however no handguns were discovered. The incident was ultimately determined to have stemmed from an unreported fight between the two males by the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street.

4:34 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 12 mile marker in reference to a blue and yellow tractor trailer.

6:39 p.m. – An assault was reported at the Ridgeland High School at 250 Jaguar Trail in reference to a 12 year old juvenile male being attacked by two twin juvenile brothers in the locker room. The incident allegedly began during the bus ride from Hardeeville to Ridgeland when the twins began taunting and bullying the victim while traveling to football practice. After collecting evidence the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office School Resource was notified of the incident in reference to pursuing charges against the two suspects.

9:27 p.m. – A welfare check was requested at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue after family members were unable to get in contact with the 84 year old female tenant for an extended period of time. After receiving no answer at the door and determining that no family members held a key to the residence the responding Officer checked the outside of the home where an unsecured window was discovered. The Officer then entered the residence where he discovered the female lying on the floor unresponsive having gone into diabetic shock. EMS Personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene and the patient was transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

9:49 p.m. – A complaint was filed by a resident at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to her boyfriend entering the residence through an open while she was away following a verbal argument between the two. Jarvis Javon Riley, 29 of Ridgeland SC, fled the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival due to being listed as a wanted person by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an outstanding narcotics warrant. Officers ultimately determined that he has been living at the Siesta Motel with the complainant who was then advised of the process required for filing an eviction.

SEPTEMBER 21, 2015

12:22 a.m. – A silver Honda CRV was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker where driver Joshua Cotter was found to be operating without a driver’s license and in possession of an open container. While speaking with Cotter outside of the vehicle, front seat passenger Jose Miguel Pinto-Funez attempted to discard an open container of alcohol by throwing it from the vehicle at which time both subjects were placed under arrest. A 13 year old male juvenile who was found intoxicated and sleeping in the back seat of the vehicle was transported by Officers to the Ridgeland Police Department where he was soon after turned over to the custody of his mother. Suspects Funez and Cotter were both transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

7:20 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the intersection of Rice Shire and Frontage Road in reference to a white Buick passenger car.

8:15 a.m. – Two drivers in a black Jeep and a gray Chevy Impala were involved in an argument stemming from a road rage incident in the parking lot of the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

1:05 p.m. – Vanessa Leigh Turney was transported from the Ridgeland Municipal Courtroom to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found guilty of no driver’s license 2nd and sentenced to 45 days in jail. Turney’s charges stemmed from an August 14th 2015 traffic stop at the intersection of Smith’s Crossing and Bees Creek Road where she was arrested and charged for several moving violations.

1:40 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 23 mile marker in reference to a tan Honda.

2:28 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a blue and silver tractor trailer.

2:50 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 11 mile marker in reference to a burgundy Cadillac.

8:39 p.m. – A harassment was reported at a residence on Ivy Street in reference to several females arriving at the home attempting to instigate a fight with the caller’s 16 year old niece.

11:57 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center at 201 John Mark Dial Drive in Columbia SC where inmate Tonya M. Carswell was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Carswell’s charges stemmed from an April 5th 2015 traffic stop on East Main Street where she was arrested and charged for driving under the influence. She was found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on May 11th and placed on a time payment plan to settle the Court ordered fines which she failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest.

SEPTEMBER 20, 2015

4:04 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

4:19 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted SCHP in reference to a collision on Old House Road involving a purple Honda Accord and a gold Toyota Camry. Two persons were transported by EMS Personnel to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville.

6:25 a.m. – A complaint was filed at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive in reference to three subjects eating breakfast in the dining area who were not guests of the business. Raymond Taff, 17, Sharon Taff, 49, and Tommy Holmes, 38, were all placed on trespass notice for the property after agreeing to pay the outstanding balance for the breakfast.

9:40 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Hampton County Detention Center at 411 Cemetery Road in Varnville SC where inmate Kanedra Tyquasha Williams was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Williams’ charges stemmed from a March 27th 2015 report filed by a Hilton Head resident concerning unauthorized use of their Coastal States Bank Visa card at various businesses in and around Ridgeland which was stolen from their home on March 26th where Williams had been employed as a caregiver. Surveillance video and financial paperwork ultimately led to three warrants being issued for her arrest and the information being forwarded to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office to assist in their investigation into the initial theft.

2:17 p.m. – A white Ford Expedition was stopped for speeding on Highway 17 around the I-95 exit 18 interchange where driver Ernesto Dominguez-Tinoco was found to be operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

4:03 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 42 mile marker in reference to a white Toyota Sienna.

4:35 p.m. – Several suspicious persons were reported in the parking lot at Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Road.

4:44 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Old House Road around the Sweet William intersection in reference to a gold Saturn.

5:55 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker in reference to a white Ford F150 pickup.

7:00 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a motorcycle.

8:01 p.m. – A Toyota Tundra and a Dodge Challenger were reportedly racing on I-95 South around the 30 mile marker.

8:42 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker in reference to a red Chevy passenger car.

9:16 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at a residence on Sailfish Circle in reference to a relative of the complainant being on the property without permission.

9:46 p.m. – A suspicious male riding a bicycle was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive.

10:15 p.m. – Patrol Officers spotted an open door at one of the buildings inside of Good Hope Plantation. No evidence of criminal activity was discovered and the door was secured prior to leaving the area.

12:10 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed at a residence on Carters Mill Road in reference to loud music coming from a neighboring home.

1:28 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the O’Reilly Auto Parts Store at 11058 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

3:17 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 23 mile marker in reference to a black Cadillac.

8:02 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 911 hang up call was received at Jasper County Emergency Services.

8:26 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community in reference to a silver Toyota pickup.

9:30 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on McTeer Avenue.

11:48 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on North Railroad Avenue where an open back door was discovered upon arrival. No evidence of criminal activity was discovered and no items were reported missing by the responding property owner prior to securing the door.

11:54 a.m. – A missing dog was reported at a residence on West Main Street but was returned shortly after the responding Officers arrival by a neighbor who had found it wandering.

1:37 p.m. – An incorrigible juvenile was reported at a residence on Captain Bill Road in reference to a 10 year old male.

2:40 p.m. – A 16 year old male juvenile was reported missing from his residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community. He was soon after located at a relative’s home at Riverside Trailer Park in Hardeeville.

4:27 p.m. – A property damage report was filed at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street after the complainant returned home to find damage to the door frame. The incident reportedly occurred on Friday but was first reported to the Property Manager and not to Law Enforcement.

5:31 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence on South Green Street in reference to the caller’s ex-boyfriend coming to the home uninvited. He left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

5:55 p.m. – An assault was reported at the Star Point BP Station at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a Hispanic male allegedly threatening the caller with a knife. The caller declined meeting with an Officer to file a report.

6:25 p.m. – An assault was reported in the parking lot of Harveys Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street in reference to a black male allegedly flashing a handgun after the caller refused to give him money.

7:50 p.m. – A white Dodge Dart and a silver Chevy Impala were involved in a collision on I-95 North at the exit 21 interchange. No injuries were reported.

8:17 p.m. – A white male on a silver moped was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of Harveys Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.

8:46 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers responded to a traffic stop of a white Oldsmobile initiated by SCDNR Officers in front of the Vaigneur Funeral Home at 6802 Tillman Road where Christopher Lee Burrison, 33 of Ridgeland SC, was placed under arrest charged with unlawful carry of a handgun. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

12:17 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in front of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a black pickup.

7:10 a.m. – A blue Toyota Tundra was involved in a single vehicle collision at 8250 East Main Street after the driver lost control when exiting the Burger King Restaurant parking lot and struck a tree. No injuries were reported.

9:37 a.m. – Jerry Allen Wright Jr. was placed under arrest after being found walking on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

9:52 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a white female cursing at passers by while claiming that her son shot her Father. She was soon after located on North Logan Street behind the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse where she was released to the care of the property owner.

12:09 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road in reference to a tan Toyota Camry.

1:53 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at Lowcountry Biomass at 523 Nimmer Turf Road in reference to a recently terminated employee making threatening remarks. Michael D. Busby, 43 of Estill SC, was ultimately placed on trespass notice for the business property without incident.

2:45 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a UPS tractor trailer.

4:50 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 12 mile marker in reference to a black Lexus passenger car.

5:32 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

6:00 p.m. – A silver Hyundai Sonata was stopped for a broken windshield violation at the intersection of North Green and Jaudon Street where driver Shakerra Shontae Garner was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license as well as having no proof of valid insurance coverage. Two of the three children in the backseat of Garner’s vehicle were found to be unrestrained at which point she was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. The children were turned over to the custody of her Mother as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger with Garner’s permission.

6:26 p.m. – A possible shoplifting was reported at the Family Dollar Store at 73 South Green Street. A review of surveillance video revealed no evidence of theft.

7:03 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 911 call was received from a female claiming that her sister had been shot on the roof of the building. A check of the area revealed no evidence of any such incident.

7:27 p.m. – A blue Honda Ridgeline was involved in a single vehicle collision at the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive after the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a light pole, ran through two fences, a small tree and ultimately came to a stop after striking a concrete ballard by the fuel pumps at the Shell Station located next door at 8309 East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

7:54 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence on Captain Bill Road after a white female began chasing the caller’s children on foot running towards the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse claiming that they belonged to her.

10:53 p.m. – A suspicious event was reported at a residence on Colony Drive in the Bees Creek Plantation Community after an unknown person continuously rang the complainant’s doorbell.

1:42 a.m. – A white male on a silver moped was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street.

2:15 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a red Toyota Prius.

12:33 p.m. – David Younger Wells Jr. turned himself in to Officers at the Ridgeland Police Department at 1 Town Square in reference to an outstanding warrant issued against him stemming from a September 14th assault in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

1:24 p.m. – Gary Lee Shumpert was placed under arrest in the parking lot of the Travelodge Motel after being found to be highly intoxicated while being questioned regarding several complaints of him panhandling at various local businesses. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

2:12 p.m. – A fight in progress between two sisters was reported outside of a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue. A third family member separated the two prior to Law Enforcement arrival without further incident.

3:17 p.m. – A complaint was filed at a residence on Captain Bill Road after the caller’s child was allegedly assaulted on the school bus by a fellow student and the driver failed to intervene to stop the incident.

3:45 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported at the intersection of Bees Creek and Rice Shire Road in reference to a black Jeep Patriot.

4:23 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Fifth Avenue.

4:50 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a silver Mercedes.

4:52 p.m. – A missing purse was reported by a tenant at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street.

5:26 p.m. – A mailbox was reportedly pulled from the ground at a residence on Myrtle Place by SCDOT Personnel conducting grading work on the roadway.

5:28 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 43 mile marker in reference to a white panel van.

8:06 p.m. – An unoccupied black Cadillac Escalade was struck by an unknown which then left the area without reporting the collision in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

10:20 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted on a white male walking North on Jacob Smart Boulevard at the Smiths Crossing intersection.

11:20 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to an assault at a residence on Fordville Road after the ex-boyfriend of the caller followed her home from work and entered the residence where he struck her several times. He then left the area after learning that Law Enforcement was en route.

5:14 a.m. – A white Dodge Durango was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker after the driver lost control and struck a roadside tree. No injuries were reported.

9:18 a.m. – Lindsay Darnell Toomer was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found grossly intoxicated lying in the roadway on South Green Street near the Family Dollar Store.

11:03 a.m. – A loitering and noise complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to numerous subjects standing around in the parking lot playing loud music.

1:13 p.m. – A white male was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of the Harveys Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.

2:13 p.m. – A silver Honda Accord was stopped for a suspended tag violation on Highway 17 around the exit 18 interchange where driver Tieshia R. Greene was found to be operating with no valid insurance coverage on the vehicle. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle.

9:38 p.m. – A black female was reportedly selling illegal narcotics on Wise Street near the East Woodlawn Street intersection.

9:41 p.m. – A green Ford Ranger and a black Mercedes E350 were involved in a collision on Old House Road around the Honey Hill Curve. No injuries were reported.

SEPTEMBER 15, 2015

12:59 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

6:11 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 16 mile marker in reference to a white Ryder rental truck.

9:12 a.m. – A blue Chrysler 300 was stopped for speeding on North Jacob Smart Boulevard where driver Alexander Holmes was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was turned over to a licensed driver with Holmes’ permission.

11:51 a.m. – A Hispanic male wearing all black clothing was reportedly making obscene gestures at passing vehicles at the intersection of West Main Street and South Railroad Avenue.

1:33 p.m. – A property damage complaint was filed by a customer at the Rite Aid Pharmacy concerning damage to the front and rear passenger doors of his vehicle.

2:22 p.m. – Axel Hector Perez was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after Patrol Officers spotted him dancing on the side I-95 South on ramp at the exit 21 interchange where he was found to be grossly intoxicated.

2:30 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported at the intersection of Highway 462 and Old House Road in reference to an orange passenger car.

2:55 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Spring Hill Road in reference to a gray Ford Taurus.

11:25 p.m. – A loitering complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to numerous subjects standing around in the parking lot area.

11:28 p.m. – Officers responded to a domestic dispute between a male and female at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community where Jose Luis Cabrera-Guerra was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

SEPTEMBER 14, 2015

7:57 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on South Green Street.

9:29 a.m. – A report of possible neglect was reported at the Ridgeland Correctional Institution at 5 Correctional Road.

11:09 a.m. – A Peterbilt vehicle carrier traveling West on Highway 278 struck a large tree limb around the Floyd Street intersection resulting in the luggage rack on one of the passenger cars it was transporting to be torn off. The rack then struck a silver Nissan Sentra traveling behind the tractor trailer shattering the windshield. The driver of the Peterbilt was unaware of the incident and continued traveling West but was soon after stopped near the Highway 462 intersection. No injuries were reported.

12:04 p.m. – A white male driving a black Chevy Silverado was reportedly blocking traffic on Carters Mill Road.

1:48 p.m. – A black Ford Expedition was stopped for speeding in the parking lot of the Badcock Furniture Store at 10213 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where driver Gabriela Hernandez was found to be operating without a driver’s license. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

2:01 p.m. – An assault was reported in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 60 year old male was struck by another.

2:41 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Coosawhatchie Baptist Church at 3873 Morgandollar Road.

3:15 p.m. – Officers traveled to the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where a hold had been placed on inmate Antwan Tyrise Brown in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Brown’s charges stemmed from a May 24th 2015 traffic stop on Highway 278 at the Floyd Street intersection where he was cited after being found in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court on July 6th to answer to the charge where he was found guilty during a trial in his absence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

4:21 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a Mother and her 14 year old daughter was reported at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive.

5:51 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a black Chevy Blazer.

8:31 p.m. – A black female was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of the Harveys Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.

9:06 p.m. – A white Toyota Corolla and a gray Hyundai Sonata were involved in a collision in the drive thru lane of the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street. One male occupant was transported by EMS Personnel to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville.

5:12 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on James Taylor Drive.

8:32 a.m. – A gray Chevy Tahoe towing a trailer was stopped for a turn signal and brake light violation at the intersection of Bees Creek and Sweet William Road where driver Juan Manuel Garcia-Carmona, 38 of Hardeeville, was found to be operating without a driver’s license as well as having no proof of insurance coverage on the vehicle he was operating. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

8:35 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.

5:49 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street in reference to a 17 year old male possibly wishing to do harm to himself.

2:21 p.m. – A silver Honda Odyssey and a black Ford Expedition were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

3:40 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 26 mile marker in reference to a blue Church van.

5:08 p.m. – A disturbance was reported at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to a group of juveniles continuously knocking on the complainant’s door.

5:27 p.m. – A silver Infiniti was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where a check of the vehicle tag information revealed it to be reported as stolen out of West Palm Beach FL registered to a 2008 Toyota. The tag was seized to be returned to the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles as driver Timothy James Dougherty, 20 of Philadelphia PA, was cited and assigned a court date for the offenses.

9:35 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a blue Ford F150 pickup.

10:30 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the New Hong Kong Restaurant at 8176 East Main Street.

11:05 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 911 hang up call was received at Jasper County Emergency Services.

SEPTEMBER 12, 2015

2:49 a.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a mother and son was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street.

8:47 a.m. – A stray dog with a yellow collar and leash was reportedly walking West on Old House Road around the Honey Hill intersection.

10:45 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 43 mile marker in reference to a brown Toyota Rav4.

12:08 p.m. – A large RV was reportedly traveling South on the I-95 Northbound exit ramp at the exit 22 interchange.

3:25 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Smiths Crossing Road traveling West towards Tillman in reference to a blue Toyota Corolla.

4:28 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Red Breast Lane in reference to a white Ford Mustang with a tan color on the lower back portion.

6:17 p.m. – A group of 14 and 15 year old juveniles were reportedly attempting to instigate a fight at the Ridgeland High School football game at 456 Grays Highway. They left the area after learning that Police had been notified however returned approximately 30 minutes later and began causing more problems.

6:48 p.m. – A gray GMC Sierra was involved in a single vehicle collision when the driver lost control and struck a tree on Highway 462 around the Salzburg Landing intersection. Both occupants were transported by EMS Personnel to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville.

8:17 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker in reference to a dark colored tractor trailer.

8:38 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

8:50 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Wright Directions Family Services Center at 60 South Railroad Avenue.

9:10 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

9:26 p.m. – A larceny was reported at a residence on Augusta Avenue after an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the complainant’s wallet inside of his home.

10:13 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 24 mile marker in reference to a silver Dodge.

10:17 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the King of Carts Showroom at 10750 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

11:30 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Boat & RV Megastore at 401 Sycamore Drive.

SEPTEMBER 11, 2015

4:03 a.m. – A white male was reportedly walking North on I-95 around the 16 mile marker.

9:09 a.m. – A silver Toyota Camry was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker where driver Demarco Jamil Ray was found to be operating under a suspended North Carolina driver’s license stemming from failure to pay traffic ticket violations. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to the registered owner.

9:36 a.m. – A welfare check was requested at a business on Brabham Street after an employee arriving for work discovered a window screen lying on the ground.

9:55 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported behind a vacant residence on Grays Highway after having driven under a rope barrier at the driveway entrance. Responding Officers discovered the subjects to be family members and friends of the homeowner.

12:19 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted on a male subject in a motorized wheelchair on West Main Street at the Railroad Avenue intersection. After determining the subject to be intoxicated he was turned over to the care of family members who had arrived on scene.

12:53 p.m. – A gray Honda Accord was stopped on North Green Street at the Grays Highway intersection after failing to yield right of way to oncoming traffic when executing a left turn from North Jacob Smart Boulevard onto Grays Highway. Driver Desiree Gloreah Lewis provided the Officer with a fraudulent name and date of birth in an attempt to conceal her identity but ultimately admitted to the violation when presented with evidence that she wasn’t being truthful. A further check revealed her to be operating without valid insurance coverage and under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license as well as being listed as a wanted person by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office in reference to three outstanding traffic warrants. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Eric’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

1:30 p.m. – Patrol Officers spotted a suspicious male subject carrying a cup and stumbling as he exited the passenger side of a vehicle at the intersection of James Taylor Drive and East Main Street. The female driver of the vehicle advised the Officer that the male had gotten into her passenger seat at the stop sign without permission asking her to drive him to a liquor store. When she refused and ordered him out of the vehicle he spotted the Officer at which time he quickly exited and began walking towards the Burger King Restaurant. The Officer then approached suspect Axel Hector Perez sitting on a bench at the Ralph Tuten Memorial Park where he was found to be highly intoxicated as well as in possession of an open container of liquor. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

2:39 p.m. – A 911 call was received in reference to a burglary in progress after a property caretaker spotted a white female climbing into a rear window of a residence on North Green Street and then fleeing through a front door. Responding Officer gathered a description of the female who was spotted in a wooded area beside the Plantation Inn Motel and ultimately arrested in the parking lot of the former El Ranchito Restaurant location at 11469 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. Melissa Marie Deloach was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

4:08 p.m. – A civil complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to a disagreement between a male and female.

4:35 p.m. – A civil complaint was reported at a residence on Colony Drive in the Bees Creek Plantation Community in reference to a child custody dispute between an estranged couple.

4:59 p.m. – A gray Dodge Caravan was struck by a green SUV which then fled the scene at the intersection of East Main Street and Sycamore Drive. No injuries were reported.

5:02 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to unwanted text messages received from the Father of the complainant’s child.

6:34 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker in reference to a silver Kia Forte.

6:51 p.m. – A male subject was reportedly going through items in a mailbox at a residence on First Avenue.

10:11 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Grays Highway at the 462 intersection in reference to a Chevy pickup.

10:12 p.m. – A silver Ford Expedition was stopped for numerous moving violations on Grays Highway at the Russell Street intersection where driver Rodrigo Mondragon Araujo was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol with an unrestrained 5 year old child in the back seat of the vehicle. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle and the child was turned over to the custody of her Mother.

SEPTEMBER 10, 2015

12:34 a.m. – A silver Chevy Silverado pickup was stopped for a suspended tag violation at the intersection of South Green Street and South Jacob Smart Boulevard where driver Paul Bryan Herrin was found to be listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle. Herrin’s charges stemmed from a May 1st 2015 traffic stop on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker where he was cited and assigned a court date for driving without a license. He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court on May 11th where he was found guilty of the charges during a trial in his absence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

3:39 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 911 call was received from a female stating that she was being accosted by several other females in the parking lot. No evidence of any such event was discovered.

4:16 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

7:21 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Pizza Bella Restaurant at 8196 East Main Street.

2:18 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at the Jasper County Mental Health Clinic at 1510 Grays Highway in reference to a patient claiming to have been mistreated by staff members on the telephone.

3:55 p.m. – A welfare check was requested at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a Hispanic male and female using a 6 to 7 year old female to lure customers to sell food out of a gray van in the parking lot.

5:41 p.m. – Officers responded to the 18 mile marker on I-95 South in reference to an engine compartment fire on a black Nissan Murano. While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, Andrea Palacios, Officers determined her to be under the influence of an unknown substance. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Elite Recovery took possession of the vehicle.

7:15 p.m. – A burglary was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community having occurred sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

8:17 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a residence on Belfield Drive in the Wellington Community after a 37 year old white male burst through the homeowner’s dining room window claiming that a friend was shooting at him following an argument. The victim was transported by EMS Personnel to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment to injuries suffered from the broken window glass.

SEPTEMBER 9, 2015

5:18 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

8:16 a.m. – David Wayne Cleland was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department after being spotted walking on the side of the roadway on Grays Highway around the Malphrus Road intersection. Cleland’s charges stemmed from a theft at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street on May 8th 2015 where he stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim’s purse after being allowed to enter her room to use the restroom. He was then arrested on May 10th and found guilty in Ridgeland Municipal Court on June 8th where he was placed on a time payment plan to pay restitution to the victim which he failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.

8:16 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a black BMW.

10:19 a.m. – A white Suzuki Forenza was stopped for speeding on Smiths Crossing at the Mitchellville Road intersection where driver Alashia Lettise West was found to be operating under a suspended South Caroilna driver’s license stemming from failure to pay traffic ticket violations as well as having an unrestrained child in the vehicle with her. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle and the child was turned over to the care of West’s Mother.

10:57 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a silver Honda.

11:04 a.m. – A burgundy Ford Taurus was stopped for an expired tag violation as well as having a broken windshield at the intersection of South Jacob Smart Boulevard and East Langford Street where driver Jaron Voorna Brisbane, 19 of Ridgeland, fled the scene as one of his passengers exited to speak with the Officer.

12:38 p.m. – A black Ford F150 pickup was stopped in the parking lot of the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after Officers spotted Jessie Lee Cleland II in the passenger seat. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Cleland’s charges stemmed from a July 10th 2015 assault at a residence on Third Avenue where he threatened to shoot the male victim during a verbal dispute and a September 8th larceny report filed at the Pizza Hut Carry Out at 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where he was captured on surveillance video stealing a charity hunger drive donation container from the front counter area on August 24th. He is also listed as a wanted person by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a failure to appear warrant issued by the Magistrates Office on July 29th 2015.

2:26 p.m. – A stray brown pit bull was reportedly barking at children in the parking lot of Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive. The animal was transported to the Jasper Animal Rescue Mission at 1352 Carters Mill Road, (843-726-7799), without incident.

3:28 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Check Into Cash Store at 8225 East Main Street.

4:47 p.m. – A gray Ford Taurus was reportedly struck by an unknown vehicle while parked unoccupied at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

7:55 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in front of the Ridgeland Correctional Institution at 5 Correctional Road in reference to a burgundy van.

8:29 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 17 mile marker in reference to a black GMC Sierra.

SEPTEMBER 8, 2015

2:02 a.m. – A residence on First Avenue was burglarized sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. with several pieces of electronic equipment being taken from the home. Evidence collected at the scene has been submitted to the SLED Forensics Laboratory for analysis.

2:14 p.m. – A theft was reported at the Pizza Hut Carry Out at 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a review of security footage revealed a white male stealing a charity hunger drive donation container from the front counter on August 24th at approximately 8:16 p.m.

3:48 p.m. – A report was filed at the Ridgeland Police Department at 1 Town Square in reference to a female subject using the complainant’s name and date of birth during an August 20th 2015 traffic stop at North Logan and East Main Street in an effort to avoid charges against herself.

7:17 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 14 mile marker in reference to a black pickup.

8:52 p.m. – A loitering complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to several subjects consuming alcohol behind the complex.

10:20 a.m. – A black 2007 Chevy Avalanche was reported stolen from a residence on Honeycomb Lane in the Bees Creek Plantation Community having reportedly occurred sometime between 7:00 p.m. September 6th and 10:00 a.m. on today’s date. A report was received from the Ridgeland Fire Department concerning a vehicle fire on Tarboro Road they responded to at 6:30 a.m. which is believed to be the stolen Avalanche.

11:11 a.m. – A civil complaint was filed at a residence on Captain Bill Road in reference to a dispute between the caller and his former employer.

6:07 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 16 mile marker in reference to a gold sedan.

10:24 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the New Hong Kong Restaurant at 8176 East Main Street.

10:40 p.m. – A black Toyota Corolla was stopped for speeding and failure to dim headlights at the intersection of West Main Street and Sisters Ferry Road where driver Jon Lafrandra Kilpatrick II was found to be operating under the influence as well as being in possession of an open container of liquor. While placing him under arrest passenger Randolph Williams exited the vehicle and began cursing at the arresting Officer and interfering with the responding Little T’s Towing employee who had arrived on scene to take custody of the vehicle. Williams was ultimately placed under arrest for public disorderly conduct and both suspects were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

12:26 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to loud music from a neighboring residence.

1:41 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Grays Highway around the Russell Street intersection in reference to a black pickup.

1:49 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive in reference to a black male.

2:30 a.m. – A male subject on a moped was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of a business at 8250 East Main Street.

8:23 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.

9:51 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the intersection of Grays Highway and Oak Plantation Drive in reference to a white van with a ladder rack.

10:26 a.m. – A stray dog reportedly attacked another dog at a residence on Captain Bill Road.

11:07 a.m. – A verbal dispute between two males was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. One of the males fled to the rear of the complex upon seeing Law Enforcement in the area but was quickly located by responding Officers.

5:09 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Board of Disabilities Office at 1419 East Adams Street.

5:14 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a green tractor trailer.

7:04 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a male and female was reported at a residence on East Wilson Street.

SEPTEMBER 5, 2015

12:12 a.m. – Officers responded to the Wendys Restaurant at 8480 Grahamville Road in reference to a fight between a male and female employee. Upon arrival neither party involved wished to pursue charges and the Manager on duty stated that the incident would be forwarded to the Store Manager.

12:34 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Gretsch Manufacturing Facility at 248 Grays Highway.

12:39 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 31 mile marker in reference to a white van.

4:04 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 10 mile marker in reference to a green tractor trailer.

8:08 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Star Point BP Station at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a Hispanic male and female with their young daughter selling tamales out of a gray Ford van in the parking lot.

8:42 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue after the ex-boyfriend of the caller’s daughter arrived at the home demanding she return a cell phone he had given her as a gift prior to their separation. The male subject, along with three others accompanying him, left the area without further incident when they were advised Law Enforcement was en route.

11:31 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Three Tee Circle in the North Ridge Community.

SEPTEMBER 4, 2015

4:09 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

10:44 a.m. – Patrol Officers spotted Robert Mitchell operating a white moped on East Adams Street where he was stopped and placed under arrest in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Mitchell’s charges stemmed from a September 2nd domestic dispute at a residence on East Adams Street where he struck and choked a female victim before leaving the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

12:56 p.m. – A silver Chevy Cobalt was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker after the driver lost control of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

1:29 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 14 mile marker in reference to a tan Chevy Tahoe.

1:44 p.m. – A financial transaction card fraud was reported at the Liberty Station at 8548 Grahamville Road after the victim discovered numerous unauthorized transactions occurring in various areas of South Carolina, Georgia and Florida after the card was used at the Ridgeland Liberty Station on September 1st.

2:32 p.m. – Rashein Lamont Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department after being found sleeping inside of his residence on Scarlett Ibis Drive. Johnson’s charges stemmed from an August 6th 2015 robbery at the Travelodge Motel where he forced a male victim into a bathroom at gunpoint before stealing an undisclosed amount of cash. Johnson then fled the area running East towards the Carolina Lodge Motel where he disappeared into a wooded area before ultimately being picked up by a waiting vehicle at the Logan Lane Apartment complex at 544 South Logan Street.

3:00 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at a residence at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street in reference to a female subject harassing the caller in front of her home.

3:14 p.m. – Anthony Bernard Gibson was placed under arrest at the Family Dollar Store at 73 South Green Street after Officers responded to several complaints of him asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

3:27 p.m. – A black Ford F150 pickup and a black Chevy Cavalier were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive. No injuries were reported.

4:28 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Gretsch Manufacturing Facility at 248 Grays Highway.

4:29 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a gray tractor trailer.

5:01 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Citgo Station at 107 Sycamore Drive in reference to a white male.

5:32 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Citgo Station at 107 Sycamore Drive.

6:11 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at 8250 East Main Street in reference to a male subject causing problems with an employee.

6:26 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at a residence on West Main Street in reference to a black male.

8:57 p.m. – Several gunshots were reported in the area of Fordville Road.

10:04 p.m. – Patrol Officers spotted a suspicious vehicle stopped on the I-95 Northbound off ramp with two persons standing outside of it. As the Officer approached in order to determine if the vehicle was disabled and in need of assistance the driver immediately sped away from the area. The two persons who had been standing outside of the vehicle were found to have a strong odor of marijuana permeating from their clothing at which time Marquis Dejour Griffin became argumentive and combative with the Officer as he attempted to conceal a quantity of marijuana. He was ultimately placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

11:47 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on I-95 around the exit 22 interchange in reference to a white Toyota Camry.

SEPTEMBER 3, 2015

1:48 a.m. – A white moped was involved in a single vehicle collision on Grays Highway at the North Green Street intersection after the driver drove too close to the sidewalk and lost control of the vehicle. He was transported by EMS Personnel to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

1:56 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street in reference to several persons gathered in the parking lot.

3:49 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

7:38 a.m. – A white Oldsmobile Bravada was stopped for an expired temporary tag violation in the parking lot of the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street where driver Shana Maria Smith, 25 of Ridgeland, was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license as well as having no valid insurance coverage on the vehicle. She was cited for the violations and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

9:33 a.m. – A heavyset black male wearing black shorts, a red polo shirt and a camouflage baseball cap entered the Pan Fresco Olé Bakery at 7785 West Main Street where he started a dispute with an employee before ultimately grabbing the cash register from the counter and fleeing the area. The suspect ran West on Main Street for a short distance where he got into a dark 4 door passenger car parked between the Main Street Pharmacy and the Fiddlers Seafood Restaurant. 10:43 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive in reference to a white van.

2:59 p.m. – Marquis Dejour Griffin was placed under arrest at the Boat & RV Megastore at 401 Sycamore Drive in reference to a warrant issued against him by the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from a September 2nd theft of a cell phone during a domestic dispute at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive. Griffin attempted to break free from the arresting Officer while being taken into custody resulting in an additional charge before being transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

3:14 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.

3:29 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a brother and sister was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. The suspect left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

6:18 p.m. – A blue Honda CRV and a red Hyundai Sonata were involved in a collision at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Wilson Street. No injuries were reported.

8:06 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at a residence on Live Oak Farm Road in reference to a red Chevy Trailblazer.

10:46 p.m. – Four black males were reportedly arguing in the parking lot of the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

12:43 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive in reference to loud music coming from a neighboring tenant’s room.

1:40 a.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a male and female was reported at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 163 Heron Crossing Drive. The male party gathered personal belongings and left the property of his own accord prior to the responding Officer’s departure.

2:42 a.m. – A 911 hang up call was received from the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

5:27 a.m. – A silver Ford Mustang was found parked and unoccupied partially blocking the roadway on Highway 17 around the exit 22 junction. The vehicle was turned over to the custody of Scott’s Automotive.

7:43 a.m. – A cell phone was reported stolen during a domestic dispute between a male and female at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive. The male suspect fled the area on foot prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

7:47 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort where inmates Jaquade Shamarrow Outten and Timothy Carol Anderson were turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Outten’s charges stemmed from an August 12th shooting incident at Heron Crossing Apartments at 313 Heron Crossing Drive where he shot a 20 year old male sitting inside of a vehicle in the parking lot before fleeing the area. Anderson’s charges stemmed from an October 20th 2014 traffic stop on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community where he was arrested and charged with driving under suspension. He was then found guilty of the charges on December 8th 2014 and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which he failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.

8:32 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Courthouse at 265 Russell Street.

9:07 a.m. – A welfare check was requested at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive after a female employee was reportedly beaten and assaulted with a handgun by her boyfriend. Responding Officers ultimately made contact with Brandon James Williams and Ashley Amber Manning in their room where Williams provided a fictitious name in an effort to conceal his identity. After being recognized by one of the Officers on scene Williams was found to be listed as a wanted person by South Carolina & North Carolina Departments of Probation & Parole for outstanding cocaine charges at which point he was taken into custody without incident. A search warrant was then executed on the room Williams and Manning were staying in which revealed numerous amounts of marijuana, Xanax, Oxycodone, Gabapentin & Meloxicam as well as a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm and a loaded Ruger 9mm which was listed as stolen by the East Point GA Police Department. Ashley Manning was then taken into custody without incident at which point both suspects were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

9:58 a.m. – A dispute was reported in the parking lot of the King of Carts Store at 10750 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a female driving a silver Nissan Sentra threatened the store Manager with pepper spray after being asked to move her vehicle a few feet.

11:06 a.m. – A silver Hyundai Elantra and a tractor trailer were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

1:42 p.m. – A gray Dodge Dart and a white Honda Civic were involved in a collision in the Harvey’s Grocery Store parking lot at 8205 East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

1:56 p.m. – A tan Mercury mini van and a blue Honda CRV were involved in a collision in front of the Pizza Hut Delivery Store at 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

2:35 p.m. – A tan Ford Crown Victoria and a Chrysler Town & Country mini van were involved in a collision in the Ridgeland High School parking lot at 250 Jaguar Trail. No injuries were reported.

3:15 p.m. – A black Nissan Altima was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker after the driver lost control and struck the center median guard wire. No injuries were reported.

3:38 p.m. – Several power tools were reported stolen from a vacant residence on Bailey Lane..

4:15 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and female was reported at a residence on East Adams Street. The male party left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

5:19 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Advance Auto Parts Store at 10424 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a black male in the parking soliciting customers and passers by for auto repair work. The subject left the property at the request of Management without incident.

6:10 p.m. – Two tractor trailers were involved in a collision on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

7:04 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Gretsch Manufacturing Facility at 248 Grays Highway.

7:14 p.m. – A green Honda Accord was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

7:36 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported in front of the Ridgeland Post Office at 7554 West Main Street in reference to a black male driving a gray passenger car allegedly following the complainant.

8:46 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.

SEPTEMBER 1, 2015

9:54 a.m. – An incorrigible juvenile report was filed by a resident at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to the caller’s 13 year old son refusing to attend school and verbally abusing his Mother.

10:00 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Oakridge South in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community at 700 North Green Street in reference to a small brown passenger car.

10:25 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 17 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

11:09 a.m. – A black male was reportedly driving a moped South in the North bound lanes of I-95 around the exit 21 area.

1:28 p.m. – A Husqvarna 223L Semi Pro Trimmer was reported stolen from outside of a residence on West Main Street.

4:40 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the O’Reilly Auto Parts construction site at 11058 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a recently terminated employee continuously drove back and forth in front of the business making obscene gestures at the foreman.

4:46 p.m. – A complaint was filed by a resident on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to mail being opened by an unknown person.

5:25 p.m. – A window mounted air conditioner was reported stolen from a vacant residence on South Perry Street.

10:01 p.m. – A report of an intoxicated female was received from a customer at the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive after the suspect chased one of the employees in the parking lot attempting to instigate a fight. Upon the Officer’s arrival suspect Tiffany Tackett was observed getting into the driver’s seat of a running vehicle parked at a fuel pump. The passenger who was still inside of the vehicle advised the Officer that he didn’t know who Tackett was and asked that she be removed. Tackett was found to be highly intoxicated as well as in possession of an open container of alcohol at which point she was advised she was under arrest. Tackett then resisted numerous verbal commands and began fighting with the Officer attempting to take her into custody resulting in a Taser deployment. A backup Officer arrived on scene at which point she was restrained without further incident and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

11:20 p.m. – An assault was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive after a 19 year old black male struck a pregnant 19 year old female victim inside of her room before fleeing the area when Law Enforcement was called. There are no charges pending due to the victim refusing to cooperate with the responding Officer.
