DAILY CRIME REPORTS – October, 2015

THE FOLLOWING INCIDENTS ARE AN ACCOUNT OF CALLS AND CASES RESPONDED TO BY OFFICERS OF THE RIDGELAND POLICE DEPARTMENT. THESE CASES ARE CLOSED OR CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION. OCTOBER 31, 2015

12:02 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on South Logan Street in reference to several 911 hang up calls received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

5:55 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to service of an outstanding warrant on inmate Kem Lavette Watson II following his arrest by the Hardeeville Police Department during a traffic stop for failure to dim headlights. Watson’s charges stemmed from a May 3rd 2015 traffic stop where he was cited and assigned a court date for speeding and driving under suspension. He was then found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on May 25th and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which he failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.

9:44 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on East Woodlawn Street.

12:13 p.m. – A complaint was filed at a residence on Hagin Drive in reference to an aggressive dog coming onto the caller’s property.

12:26 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in front of the main entry gate at the Ridgeland Correctional Institution at 5 Correctional Road in reference to a black Chevy Silverado pickup.

12:31 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Baptist Church at 1448 Grays Highway.

1:22 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to a black female from a neighboring home shouting obscenities and threats towards the complainant.

3:25 p.m. – Information was received from Beaufort County 911 Operators in reference to a black Chrysler 300 being taken without permission from a residence in the Bluffton area. The suspect was identified as the 14 year old granddaughter of the vehicle owner and was last seen heading towards Ridgeland. The vehicle was soon after located in the parking lot of Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive by a friend of the complainant who used her vehicle to block it into a parking space. The responding Officer located the juvenile suspect behind one of the complex buildings where she began walking away refusing to speak with him and cursing. She ultimately turned towards the Officer shouting and waving her arms at which point he attempted to detain her resulting in her becoming combative and resisting. Back up Officers arrived and assisted in detaining the suspect without further incident at which time her Grandmother was contacted and asked to come and retrieve her granddaughter and vehicle. When she arrived a short time later the juvenile refused to exit the patrol vehicle in order to be released to her Grandmother’s custody continuing to resist verbal commands. She ultimately complied without incident and exited the vehicle of her own accord where Officers were able to remove the restraints. The juvenile then immediately began walking towards a wooded area again refusing to obey commands at which time the determination was made to place her under arrest. She again resisted the Officers attempting to place her in restraints but was ultimately taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Facility in Columbia SC.

6:02 p.m. – A white Ford Expedition was involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street after being struck by an unknown vehicle which then left the scene without reporting the incident. No injuries were reported.

6:30 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at Ken’s Tire Service Center at 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

10:00 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker in reference to a dark colored pickup.

10:19 p.m. – A group of juveniles were reportedly throwing items at the Pratt Memorial Library at 451 East Wilson Street before fleeing the area running West towards Jacob Smart Boulevard.

11:20 p.m. – A burglary was reported at a residence on Live Oak Farm Road after the homeowner returned from work to find that someone had forced entry. Evidence collected at the scene has been submitted to the SLED Forensics Laboratory for analysis and suspect identification.

OCTOBER 30, 2015

12:02 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a report of two males being kidnapped and held for ransom at a residence on Bees Creek Road. The complainant dialed 911 after receiving a telephone call from a male stating that both of her sons were being held at gunpoint pending payment of money owed to him by the two victims from a previous narcotics transaction. Jasper County Detectives assisted by responding SLED Agents conducted an investigation throughout the day ultimately leading the arrest of both of the supposed victims at a residence on Great Swamp Road at 1:35 p.m. David Wayne Cleland, 27, and Jessie Lee Cleland, 25, both of Ridgeland SC were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under the charge of filing a false Police report.

4:22 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 12 mile marker in reference to a silver Dodge pickup.

7:40 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

10:29 a.m. – A 911 call was received from a motorist traveling South on I-95 around the 28 mile marker in reference to a gray pickup towing a beige camper with a sign in the rear window asking for help. The vehicle was stopped by Jasper County Deputies around the 18 mile marker without incident.

2:37 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker in reference to a gold Toyota passenger car.

7:31 p.m. – A group of three suspicious vehicles was reported in the Oak Plantation Commons community.

OCTOBER 29, 2015

5:09 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Pizza Bella Restaurant at 8196 East Main Street.

7:06 a.m. – Detention Officers at the Ridgeland Correctional Institution discovered a white male lying in a grassy area attempting to conceal himself on the prison property. Upon being discovered the male jumped to his feet and fled the area jumping a small fence bordering interstate 95. Responding Ridgeland Officers soon discovered Bobby Dean Bowden walking North on I-95 around the 22 mile marker where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being positively identified by prison officials as the male who had fled.

8:10 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at a residence on Third Avenue after the homeowner discovered tire marks in his front yard. Responding Officers recovered further evidence that the vehicle responsible for the marks had continued traveling East where it struck two SCDOT signs before reversing and then fleeing the area.

9:57 a.m. – A suspected case of child abuse was reported at the Ridgeland Mental Health Office at 1510 Grays Highway in reference to threats made to a 14 year old male by his Mother. The initial incident was determined to have occurred at a residence on Nettles Road at which time the case was turned over to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

12:11 p.m. – A white Freightliner truck reported stolen out of Garden City GA was recovered at the I-95 North truck parking area around the 17 mile marker after being tracked by GPS. The vehicle was found unoccupied and no persons were discovered in the area. It was returned to the registered owner who had arrived from Garden City a short time later.

12:20 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a Mother and her 32 year old daughter at a residence on Bees Creek Road ended with the Mother taking custody of her 9 year old grandchild without permission. Both parties were advised to meet with Officers at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where the child was returned to the custody of his Mother without further incident.

3:07 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence on Captain Bill Road in reference to the complainant’s 10 year old son being tripped by two other male juveniles as he exited the school bus. The harassment of her children on the bus has reportedly been an ongoing problem for the complainant with numerous reports made to the bus driver and school officials.

6:41 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was reported in reference to a blue van in the Harveys Grocery Store parking lot at 8205 East Main Street.

8:34 p.m. – A blue Kia mini van was stopped for an inoperable tail light violation at the intersection of West Main Street and Sisters Ferry Road where driver Lisa Marie Schutt was found to be operating without a driver’s license. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.

8:35 p.m. – A report was filed at the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street in reference to a domestic dispute between a male and a female. Responding Officers determined that the incident had occurred at a residence in Varnville SC and the female complainant had traveled to Ridgeland out of concern for the safety of herself and her child. The case was forwarded to the Varnville Police Department.

11:45 p.m. – A green Lexus ES300 was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker where driver James F. McCaffrey, 35 of Brooklyn NY, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

OCTOBER 28, 2015

9:34 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 32 mile marker in reference to a flatbed tractor trailer.

9:39 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 29 mile marker in reference to a blue Peterbilt tractor trailer.

1:18 p.m. – A report of a white male asking customers and passers by for money was filed at the Fiddlers Seafood Restaurant at 7738 West Main Street where the suspect began cursing at employees when told to leave the business. Richard Louis Sullivan was placed under arrest by responding Officers and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as well as being placed on trespass notice for the restaurant property.

2:03 p.m. – A larceny was reported at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street after a white female posing as a friend of a tenant currently incarcerated at the Jasper County Detention Center removed a purse from her belongings which were being held by staff members pending pick up.

4:08 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on East Main Street in reference to three male juveniles, ages 8, 11 and 13, who had not attended school for the last 10 days at the Royal Live Oaks Academy in Hardeeville.

4:49 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 31 mile marker in reference to a white SUV.

5:20 p.m. – An assault was reported at the intersection of West Main and Green Street in reference to a male allegedly beating a female passenger inside of a silver passenger car. The suspect vehicle left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

8:37 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 12 mile marker in reference to a silver Toyota passenger car.

9:50 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Spay & Neuter Animal Clinic at 21 Getsinger Street.

OCTOBER 27, 2015

6:03 a.m. – A gray GMC Sierra pickup was involved in a single vehicle collision on the I-95 Southbound entrance ramp at exit 21 when the driver lost control and struck a light pole. No injuries were reported.

11:08 a.m. – A civil dispute was reported at the Harry Brown Law Office at 11169 North Jacob Smart Boulevard resulting in Breanna Quanisha Marable, 24 of Ridgeland SC, threatening staff members. She was placed on trespass notice by the responding Officer at the property owner’s request.

3:55 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted on a black male lying on the sidewalk at the intersection of North Jasper and West Main Street where Nathaniel Burrison was found to be highly intoxicated as well as being in possession of an open container of liquor. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

6:51 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Honeycomb Lane in the Bees Creek Plantation Community.

7:10 p.m. – A black male was reportedly causing a disturbance in the parking lot of the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

7:17 p.m. – A male transient was voluntarily transported by EMS from the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation after calling 911 and stating that he had not been taking his prescription medications.

7:53 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

10:22 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the A-1 Towing Office at 9888 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

OCTOBER 26, 2015

1:50 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and female was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community. The male party left of his own accord prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

2:49 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at 8205 East Main Street in reference to a white male behind the business.

2:56 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies responding to an alarm at the Great Swamp Baptist Church at 9009 Tarboro Road after an open door was discovered. No subjects were discovered during a search of the interior and exterior of the property.

4:10 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker in reference to a silver Buick Lacrosse.

6:17 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Spay & Neuter Animal Clinic at 21 Getsinger Street.

9:27 a.m. – Daniel Joseph Grimaldi appeared in the Ridgeland Municipal Courtroom at 1 Town Square to answer to a recent speeding citation where he began a dispute with Officers concerning the location of a State posted speed limit sign. After being told numerous times to take a seat and await the Judge’s decision Grimaldi began cursing at which point he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

9:34 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Family Dollar Store at 74 South Green Street.

11:13 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 462 at the Strawberry Hill Road intersection in reference to a Ford pickup towing a trailer carrying mattresses.

12:13 p.m. – A black Ford pickup was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North between the exit 22 off and on ramps after the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle over before striking a group of trees. Both occupants were transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville.

1:49 p.m. – A white GMC Sierra and a gray Toyota Camry were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

2:50 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Ridgeland Physical Therapy Office at 10616 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a white male allegedly attempting to get into occupied vehicles.

2:55 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 30 mile marker in reference to a silver Chrysler mini van.

3:30 p.m. – A black Jeep Liberty and a gray Dodge Charger were involved in a collision on Highway 278 at the Airport Road intersection. One male driver was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville.

9:28 p.m. – A black female was reportedly sleeping in the restroom at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

OCTOBER 25, 2015

1:54 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed at a residence on East Main Street in reference to loud music.

2:58 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a black Ford Ranger.

11:35 a.m. – A storage rack fell from a RV traveling North on I-95 around the 21 mile marker resulting in a gray Ford Edge traveling behind it to run over the two bicycles it held. No injuries were reported and the RV continued traveling North.

12:25 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker in reference to a gray Volkswagen Beetle.

1:56 p.m. – A suspicious incident was reported at a residence on West Adams Street after two Hispanic males driving a red Mazda pickup were spotted behind the home while the property owner was out of town. A neighbor left in charge of watching the home confronted the subjects who immediately left prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

3:57 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Eleanor Avenue.

4:29 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female at a residence at Ridge Point Apartments at 669 North Green Street resulted in the male party stealing the female’s vehicle causing injury to her as she attempted to stop him. The vehicle is described as a black 2011 Chevy Impala bearing South Carolina tag number LDG-283 being operated by Sammie Davis Webb IV, 24 of Hardeeville SC.

8:45 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on South Logan Street.

10:49 p.m. – A report was filed in reference to a white female driving recklessly in the parking lot of The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where responding Officers determined Kelly Anne Maloney to be operating under the influence of alcohol as well as having no valid insurance coverage on the vehicle she was driving and being in possession of an open container of beer. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle.

12:44 a.m. – A green Buick LeSabre was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 24 mile marker where driver Edward Kernard Frazier, 35 of Yemassee SC, fled the area after providing the Officer with identification.

2:36 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Bobops Station at 8548 Grahamville Road.

3:26 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Family Dollar Store at 73 South Green Street in reference to a gray Ford Fusion.

4:32 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Ridgeland Alternative School at 456 Grays Highway in reference to a blue GMC.

6:30 a.m. – A 911 call was received from the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to filing a complaint that children were running on the street.

7:43 a.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at the Boat & RV Megastore at 401 Sycamore Drive after staff members discovered a recently terminated employee sleeping inside of one of the inventory vehicles. Marquis Dejour Griffin, 20 of Ridgeland SC, was placed on trespass notice for the business property without incident.

2:37 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Old House Road at the Sweet William intersection in reference to a blue Chevy.

3:23 p.m. – A breach of trust report was filed at the Main Street Barbecue Restaurant at 8084 East Main Street in reference to an employee removing money from the register.

4:37 p.m. – A gray Nissan Xterra and a burgundy Honda Accord were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

9:52 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at a residence on Grays Highway after the complainant was ordered to leave Ned’s Pub & Grub at 11090 North Jacob Smart Boulevard by a staff member.

11:47 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to loud music coming from a neighboring home.

OCTOBER 23, 2015

7:24 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

8:37 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a dark green SUV.

12:13 p.m. – A Toyota passenger car and a Ford pickup were involved in a collision at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Highway 278. One female occupant was checked for injuries by EMS Responders.

2:32 p.m. – A Dodge Stratus and a Toyota Camry were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street.

2:33 p.m. – An off duty Ridgeland Officer traveling East on Old House Road behind a black Honda Civic near the Summer Hill Road intersection witnessed the driver swerving into the oncoming lane of travel several times, one of which resulted in the driver of a burgundy Lincoln Town Car traveling West to swerve to the right in an effort to avoid colliding with the Honda. The driver of the Lincoln was unable to maintain control of her vehicle during the emergency maneuver resulting in it leaving the right side of the roadway and striking a large tree. The driver of the Honda then fled from the area without reporting the collision approaching speeds of 90 mph as the off duty Officer continued following him while relaying information to 911 Operators. Tommy Lee Brown eventually stopped his vehicle after traveling approximately 2 miles at which time he was detained by responding Officers without incident. Back at the scene of the collision Emergency Responders mechanically extricated driver Jannie Lee Robert, 76 of Ridgeland SC, from the vehicle where she was pronounced dead on scene. Passenger Cynthia Vidette Howard, 56 of Ridgeland SC, was transported by EMS to the Ridgeland Municipal Airport on Grays Highway where a waiting Lifestar helicopter flew her to Savannah Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Tommy Brown was ultimately transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of his vehicle.

5:22 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Honeycomb Lane in the Bees Creek Plantation Community.

5:54 p.m. – A larceny was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a red charcoal grill was stolen from a tenant’s front porch sometime after 6:00 a.m.

6:01 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Bobops Convenience Store at 8548 Grahamville Road after a customer reportedly heard a child screaming.

6:47 p.m. – A possible shoplifting was reported at the Family Dollar Store at 73 South Green Street in reference to a white male customer allegedly concealing items while inside the store.

8:49 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a residence on Old House Road in reference to a suspicious white female knocking on the complainant’s front door and bedroom window.

9:46 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a burgundy Volkswagen.

10:00 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed by a resident on Woods Court in reference to threatening statements made by a male and a female from a neighboring home.

10:01 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

10:31 p.m. – Officers conducted a welfare check on a white male subject in front of the Pratt Memorial Library at 451 East Wilson Street after spotting him walking East wearing a tank top and boxer briefs. Phillip James Colletti was ultimately placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after Officers determined him to be intoxicated.

10:40 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to several subjects consuming alcohol in the parking lot.

11:21 p.m. – A disturbance was reported at the Bobops Convenience Store at 8548 Grahamville Road in reference to a male customer cursing at the cashier after closing.

11:39 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 40 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.

OCTOBER 22, 2015

1:06 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive in reference to a Mercury Sable.

2:58 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive in reference to a gray Dodge Journey.

3:06 a.m. – Officers responding to a noise complaint at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive spotted Richard Ceriaco Adeser inside of a rented room where he was placed under arrest and turned over to Sheriff’s Deputies for transport to the detention center in reference to 7 outstanding fraudulent check warrants and 1 outstanding financial transaction card fraud warrant issued by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

7:09 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 29 mile marker in reference to a black and orange tractor trailer.

11:06 a.m. – A red Dodge Journey, a tan Toyota Camry and a white Toyota Rav4 were involved in a collision in front of the Cash Advance store at 8120 East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

1:38 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 16 mile marker in reference to a white Lexus.

1:53 p.m. – A 38 year old black female was stabbed multiple times during a domestic dispute while parked on Highway 17 at the I-95 exit 18 junction. Two passing motorists, one of which is registered nurse, spotted the victim crawling from inside of her vehicle bleeding at which time they stopped to render aid and called 911 as suspect Julius Grant, 53 of Yemassee SC, fled the scene traveling North on Highway 17 driving a blue cab Freightliner towing an orange enclosed trailer. One of the responding Officers spotted the suspect vehicle turning right onto Smiths Crossing Road at which time he attempted to initiate a traffic stop as the suspect continued traveling East in an aggressive manner. Grant ultimately stopped on top of the I-95 viaduct where he exited the driver’s seat and fled on foot jumping the guardrail and running down an embankment to the shoulder of the I-95 Northbound lanes where he paused before throwing himself in front of a Freightliner tractor trailer traveling in the right hand lane effectively ending his own life. The female victim was transported to Savannah Memorial Hospital by EMS responders for treatment to injuries sustained in the attack. Grant was recently charged for assaulting the same victim during a September 17th 2015 incident at a residence on Fordville Road where he fled the area after learning that Law Enforcement was en route. He was later arrested for the offense by Sheriff’s Deputies during a September 18th traffic stop in the Point South area.

4:25 p.m. – A larceny was reported a the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street after a subject in a gray Jeep was spotted stealing plastic storage containers from the side of the business.

7:45 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on Wiley Street after an out of town Mother became concerned that her juvenile son may be missing from the home.

9:11 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a green Nissan Pacifica.

OCTOBER 21, 2015

1:08 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the I-95 Southbound truck parking area at the 17 mile marker in reference to a red pickup.

3:08 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Check Into Cash store at 8225 East Main Street.

6:10 a.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a male and a female in a gray Honda Accord was reported in front of the Ridgeland Post Office at 7554 West Main Street.

7:16 a.m. – A red Volkswagen Jetta was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker when the driver lost control and spun the vehicle off of the right shoulder. No injuries were reported.

10:36 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Dorchester County Detention Center at 212 Deming Way in Summerville SC where inmate Arnold Kerry Murdaugh was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Murdaugh’s charges stemmed from a November 20th 2014 traffic stop where he was cited and assigned a court date for driving without a license. He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court to answer to the charge on December 1st 2014 where he was found guilty during a trial in absence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

10:51 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 26 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

1:31 p.m. – A suspicious telephone call was received by an Eleanor Avenue resident from a person identifying themselves as a Law Enforcement Officer in Greenville SC telling the complainant that their grandson was in custody and that $2500 was needed within the next three hours to secure his bond. The caller ordered that the complainant purchase several cash cards from a local grocery store in $500 increments and contact him at an 888 prefix in order to provide him with the card numbers. The Ridgeland Police Department would like to remind the Public that no local, State or Federal Agency conducts operations in such a manner and any telephone calls, letters or emails received requesting money for a friend or loved one allegedly in Police custody should be immediately reported to your local Law Enforcement Agency. These scams are becoming more prevalent with the advent of new technology and the perpetrators are very often armed with very personal information regarding the subject they claim to have in custody.

1:42 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the intersection of Smiths Crossing and Mitchellville Road in reference to a black male and two black females in the roadway.

2:18 p.m. – A black Jeep Patriot was stopped for speeding on West Frontage Road in front of the Ridgeland Correctional Institution where driver Catherine Ann Grabenbauer was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license with one previous conviction for driving under suspension. During the course of the traffic stop she was observed throwing refuse from her vehicle resulting in an additional charge. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

2:40 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at a residence on Captain Bill Road in reference to a previously unreported incident occurring last week involving a window being broken by a neighbor’s child. The Mother of the child agreed to pay for the damages when the incident occurred however has allegedly since made no restitution.

4:23 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at the Boat & RV Megastore at 401 Sycamore Drive in reference to a recently terminated employee refusing to leave the business property when ordered.

4:46 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reportedly parked behind the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive.

6:09 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Palmetto Isotopes Pharmacy at 405 Old House Road.

8:43 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence on Captain Bill Road in reference to threatening text messages.

OCTOBER 20, 2015

6:46 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on North Railroad Avenue.

8:11 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at the Perry Storage Facility at 716 West Adams Street after locks were found to have been removed from several rental units.

10:40 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female with two children in common was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. One of the parties involved, Kelly Sheree Simmons, was spotted attempting to leave the property in a white Toyota Corolla which was stopped by one of the responding Officers as it exited the parking lot. After gathering statements and evidentiary photographs Simmons was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Eric’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

5:55 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a blue tractor trailer.

6:33 p.m. – A harassment report was filed at a residence on Live Oak Farm Road in reference to a dispute between the caller and his landlord.

8:14 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a black Dodge Ram pickup.

10:22 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Old House Road at the Sweet William intersection in reference to a light colored SUV.

OCTOBER 19, 2015

1:05 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

2:02 a.m. – A white Honda Civic was stopped for a failure to maintain lane and minimum speed violation on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker where driver Moises Rivera was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

3:05 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Shinetown Distillery at 857 James Taylor Drive.

4:54 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Bailey Lane.

7:13 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Check Into Cash store at 8225 East Main Street.

7:55 a.m. – A gray Mazda wagon and a black Honda Accord were involved in a collision at the intersection of Tillman and Tarboro Roads. No injuries were involved.

2:37 p.m. – A 16 year old white male juvenile was placed under arrest at his residence at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a juvenile petition was filed against him in reference to the October 12th 2015 burglary of a residence on South Logan Street. He was transported to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Center in Columbia SC.

9:50 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Check Into Cash store at 8225 East Main Street.

OCTOBER 18, 2015

12:26 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed in reference to loud music coming from an event at the Ridgeland Farmer’s Market at 9935 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

1:14 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street in reference to a green Ford Explorer occupied by a black male.

1:15 a.m. – A red Toyota Camry was stopped in the parking lot of Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a check of the tag information showed it to be registered to a Dodge Nitro. Driver Detra Lakee Wright was found to be operating with no valid insurance coverage and under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license as well as being in possession of an open container of alcohol. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

1:21 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a silver Hyundai Elantra.

3:00 a.m. – A white Mercedes C230 was stopped for speeding in front of the Ridgeland Farmer’s Market at 9935 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where driver Lagarrick Lee Donaldson was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license as well as being in possession of a quantity of marijuana and an open container of alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

4:00 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

4:28 a.m. – A black BMW 230i was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker after striking a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported.

9:36 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 32 mile marker in reference to a purple tractor trailer.

9:37 a.m. – A gray Dodge Dakota and a white Toyota Tacoma were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

10:28 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a white passenger car.

10:40 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the I-95 Southbound truck parking area at the 19 mile marker in reference to an abandoned white Oldsmobile.

4:40 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers transported a 16 year old black male juvenile from the Ridgeland Fire Department and turned him over to Hardeeville Officers after he approached Firefighters stating that he had gotten onboard a train at the Purrysburgh railroad crossing in Hardeeville and ridden it to Ridgeland. There are no charges pending against the juvenile who was ultimately turned over to the custody of his parents.

5:54 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a Ford Crown Victoria.

7:59 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Shinetown Distillery at 857 James Taylor Drive.

9:21 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community after an open line 911 call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

9:48 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a red tractor trailer.

9:53 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street. The male party gathered belongings and left the residence of his own accord upon Law Enforcement arrival.

OCTOBER 17, 2015

3:50 a.m. – Treivon Clifton Jenkins, 22 of Ridgeland SC, fled from Officers attempting to conduct a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 17 and Smiths Crossing where he was tracked driving a red Nissan Sentra at 90 mph in a 55 mph zone. Jenkins then merged onto I-95 South at the exit 18 interchange where he began using the shoulder to pass other vehicles at speeds of up to 117 mph. Hardeeville Officers were notified as Jenkins exited I-95 at exit 8 and then traveled South on Highway 17 where he ultimately abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot from the parking lot of an apartment complex.

8:41 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 34 mile marker in reference to a gray Saturn Aura.

2:28 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a red tractor trailer.

3:51 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a silver pickup.

4:38 p.m. – A red Chevy Trailblazer struck a gray Toyota Camry in the parking lot of the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard and then fled the scene without reporting the collision. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges. No injuries were reported.

4:59 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Baptist Church at 1448 Grays Highway.

5:31 p.m. – A large brown dog was reportedly approaching pedestrians on West Smith Street in an aggressive manner placing them in fear for their safety. The responding Officer encountered the same situation upon his arrival at which point the animal was turned over to the Jasper Animal Rescue Mission at 1352 Carters Mill Road, (843-726-7799), pending collection by the owner.

6:45 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Shinetown Distillery at 857 James Taylor Drive.

9:10 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Bailey Lane.

9:23 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on McTeer Avenue.

OCTOBER 16, 2015

12:05 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the R&M Small Engine Repair Center at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

12:58 a.m. – A civil dispute was reported at a residence on Live Oak Farm Road in reference to an eviction process.

2:14 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

8:12 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at the Perry Storage Center at 698 West Adams Street after several locks were found to have been cut on various units during the nighttime hours. No items were reported stolen and surveillance footage is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

8:13 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

10:11 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 27 mile marker in reference to a burgundy Subaru Forester.

10:40 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after the male allegedly struck the female before fleeing the area when Law Enforcement was called. The female refused to pursue charges in the matter.

1:53 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort SC where inmate Jeremiah Jamal Shaw was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Shaw’s charges stemmed from a February 20th 2014 incident at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street where he was arrested after breaking into a vacant room. He was then found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on March 31st 2014 and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which he failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.

2:05 p.m. – Richard Louis Sullivan, 53 of Ridgeland SC, was placed on trespass notice for the Handy Dan’s Gulf and Exxon Stations on East Main Street at Management’s request.

4:01 p.m. – Investigators in Uniontown PA spotted a report on the Ridgeland PD website regarding an October 14th 2015 traffic stop on I-95 South where Warren Dale Nicklow was arrested for traffic violations and his passenger, Tonia Fox, was cited and released. They then contacted Ridgeland Investigators and provided Information that positively identified the passenger as Traci Renee Baker who had used a relative’s name and date of birth when the traffic stop occurred in an effort to conceal her identity due to being listed as a wanted person in Fayette County PA after failing to appear in court on October 5th 2015 to stand trial under charges of armed robbery, 2 counts of terroristic threats, theft by taking, receiving stolen property & reckless endangerment. After receiving the information Ridgeland Officers began searching the area ultimately spotting the gray Dodge Caravan parked behind the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street. Baker was soon after located on the business property where she again made several attempts to conceal her identity before being placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center pending extradition back to Pennsylvania.

4:50 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported on Highway 278 near the Green Street intersection in reference to a subject hanging a rope from the overpass to the train tracks below.

5:29 p.m. – A green Chrysler 300 and a burgundy Lexus GS400 were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

5:36 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Family Dollar Store at 73 South Green Street.

7:58 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported in the parking lot of the Wendys Restaurant at 8480 Grahamville Road.

11:00 p.m. – A black Volvo passenger car was stopped for a defective headlight violation at the intersection of West Main and Green Street where driver Madison Beckett Horry, 18 of Okatie SC, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offense and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

11:35 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to loud music in the parking lot area. Responding Officers ordered the music turned down; however it was soon after turned back up after the Officer’s departure. A white male armed with a knife then approached the subjects playing the music and began an altercation which ended with a female being knocked to the ground. Officers returned to the property where the victim declined pursuing charges.

11:48 p.m. – A red Toyota Rav4 stopped for a red light on West Main Street was struck from behind by a black Chevy Cobalt which then fled the area without reporting the collision. The driver of the Toyota followed the suspect vehicle to a residence in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community while contacting Law Enforcement. Responding Officers ultimately located the driver of the Chevy, Yannil Cisneros, who had fled inside of a residence prior to their arrival. She was found to be operating while under the influence of alcohol as well as without a driver’s license at which point she was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

OCTOBER 15, 2015

9:32 a.m. – A gray Toyota Prius was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker where passenger Daniel Bellido, 22 of North Bergen NJ, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offense and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

1:14 p.m. – An Orange Pontiac Grand Prix was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker where driver Brittany Renee David was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

3:05 p.m. – A white Acura SUV was stopped at the intersection of Shadetree Street and Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community after Officers spotted Jocelyn Brooke Tillman, who is known to be listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department, in the passenger seat. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the SUV left the area. Tillman’s charges stemmed from an August 25th 2015 shoplifting incident at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where she fled from the area after being caught stealing store items by Management.

3:45 p.m. – Officers responded to a vehicle fire involving a blue Mercury Grand Marquis on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker. An engine malfunction is suspected of causing the incident and no injuries were reported.

4:21 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street after a suspicious call was received by a complainant at the Travelodge Motel.

5:32 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a green tractor trailer.

6:47 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed on Grays Highway around the Live Oak Drive intersection after several black males in a tan Chevy Suburban shouted obscenities at the complainant’s wife as they drove by.

7:02 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to numerous subjects standing around in the parking lot playing loud music on a car stereo.

9:08 p.m. – William Gillyard Jr. was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found intoxicated at the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

OCTOBER 14, 2015

12:33 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on James Taylor Drive.

12:41 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Wendys Restaurant at 8480 Grahamville Road.

12:48 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the R&M Small Engine Repair Center at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

3:23 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Board of Disabilities Office at 283 First Avenue.

3:30 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Pizza Bella Restaurant at 8196 East Main Street.

9:27 a.m. – A campsite was reportedly set up on private property without permission on Sisters Ferry Road adjacent to the McCormack Avenue intersection.

10:30 a.m. – A gray Dodge Caravan was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker where driver Warren Dale Nicklow was found to be operating under a suspended Pennsylvania driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to passenger Tonia Fox, 40 of Dilliner PA, with Nicklow’s permission after she was issued a citation and assigned a court date for allowing an unauthorized driver.

11:13 a.m. – A forgery was reported by a resident on Vigil Road after he was alerted by his bank to to two recently stolen checks being presented in the amount of $300 and $464 at the Check Into Cash Store at 8225 East Main Street on September 15th 2015. Information gathered from the business revealed Marie Cramer Powell to be the person who committed the offenses at which time two warrant affidavits were filed against her. Officers then traveled to the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where she has been held since her October 4th arrest under 4 counts of financial transaction card fraud and served the forgery charges against her.

12:09 p.m. – A routine review of surveillance video at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard revealed a black female stealing store items during the late afternoon hours of August 13th 2015.

1:56 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on McTeer Avenue.

2:30 p.m. – A tan Chrysler 300 and a black Chevy Suburban were involved in a collision at the intersection of East Main Street and North Jacob Smart Boulevard where Damaris Valeria Zapata-Noyola was identified by one of the responding Officers as a wanted person after she arrived on scene to inquire about one of the parties involved. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under charges stemming from an April 29th 2015 traffic stop where she was cited and assigned a court date for driving without a license. She then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court to answer to the charge on June 8th where she was found guilty during a trial in absence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. No injuries were reported in reference to the collision.

2:58 p.m. – A 37 year old female resident of the North Ridge Community was transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation after a pick up order issued by the Jasper County Probate Office at the request of the Ridgeland Mental Health Clinic. She was later transferred to the Colleton County Medical Center at 501 Robertson Boulevard in Walterboro SC.

4:58 p.m. – A disturbance was reported at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road after a female customer began cursing and shouting at staff members after being told that breakfast was not being served. Dannielle Genice Scott, 31 of Ridgeland SC, was placed on trespass notice for the business property at Management’s request.

4:58 p.m. – A Ford suffered disabling damage after striking debris in the roadway on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

5:05 p.m. – A white Honda Civic and a white Chrysler PT Cruiser were involved in a collision at the intersection of South Logan and East Adams Streets. No injuries were reported.

6:39 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported at the intersection of South Green and West Main Streets in reference to a blue Mazda Miata.

7:45 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed by a male walking his dog after a black male threatened to harm him, his son and his dog as they walked by the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

9:16 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

9:22 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the R&M Small Engine Repair Center at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

9:23 p.m. – A black beach cruiser style bicycle was reportedly stolen from outside of a residence on East Main Street sometime between 5 and 7:30 p.m.

OCTOBER 13, 2015

3:34 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Pizza Bella Restaurant at 8196 East Main Street in reference to a Toyota Corolla.

7:56 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the K&L Granite and Marble Showroom at 11742 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

8:06 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Magistrates Office at 967 West Adams Street.

8:49 a.m. – A gray Honda Civic was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker where the driver stopped in the center of one of the lanes of travel and placed it in park. After being ordered to move the vehicle off of the roadway driver Chamar Lenell Norwood was found to be operating under a suspended Delaware driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to the registered owner who was a passenger.

11:42 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 12 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

12:44 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 67 West Woodlawn Street after two black males became involved in a verbal dispute.

1:23 p.m. – Two cell phones were reported stolen from the Jasper County Courthouse at 265 Russell Street. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

3:01 p.m. – A red Chevy pickup was stopped on Highway 17 North at the I-95 exit 18 interchange after Dervon Jaceif Jones, who is known to be listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department, was spotted behind the wheel. Further investigation revealed there to be no valid insurance coverage on the vehicle and Jones to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license at which point he was placed under arrest. An inventory of the vehicle prior to towing revealed a quantity of marijuana resulting in passengers Derrice Quandre Miller and Andre Lamar Devore being placed under arrest as well. All three suspects were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle. Dervon Jones’ outstanding warrants stemmed from a September 1st 2015 traffic stop on Highway 17 where he was cited and assigned a court date for no proof of insurance, no driver’s license, careless operation and failure to register motor vehicle. He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court on October 5th to answer to the charges where he was found guilty during a trial in absence and warrants were issued for his arrest.

3:46 p.m. – A reckless driver report was filed in reference to two pickups and a passenger car traveling West on Highway 462.

3:58 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 31 mile marker in reference to a red tractor trailer.

5:20 p.m. – Axel Hector Perez was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found stumbling and falling in the roadway due to intoxication in front of Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

6:44 p.m. – A larceny was reported at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street after a tenant discovered an undisclosed amount of cash missing from his room.

7:40 p.m. – A possible shoplifting complaint was filed at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where Catina Latrelle Aiken was placed on trespass notice for the business property at Management’s request.

8:07 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue resulting in the complainant’s cell phone suffering damage. Neither party involved wished to pursue charges in the matter.

8:12 p.m. – A property damage report was filed at the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 67 West Woodlawn Street in reference to one of the center caps of the complainant’s Mazda 3 suffering damage from an unknown source.

10:12 p.m. – A gray Nissan Sentra was involved in a single vehicle collision when the driver struck a roadside drainage ditch on Carters Mill Road at the McCormack Avenue intersection. No injuries were reported.

11:25 p.m. – Ridgeland K9 Officers assisted South Carolina Highway Patrol on I-95 North around the 12 mile marker during a traffic stop of a gray Toyota Camry where driver Molly Raymond, 24 of Mechanicsville MD, was ultimately placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under a SCHP charge of driving under the influence.

OCTOBER 12, 2015

4:24 a.m. – A silver Nissan Altima was rear ended by a white sedan which then fled the area while traveling North on I-95 around the 21 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

9:31 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a black tractor trailer traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

9:40 a.m. – Gary Lee Shumpert was placed under arrest at the Ridgeland Police Department at 1 Town Square after appearing in municipal court while intoxicated. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

12:56 p.m. – Bradford Keith Sandifer was placed under arrest at his residence on Hagin Drive and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Sandifer’s charges stemmed from a July 15th 2015 report of a stolen debit card being used at two businesses in Ridgeland. A review of surveillance video from both locations revealed Sandifer as the person committing the offenses which resulted in his arrest later the same day. He then failed to appear in municipal court to answer to the charges on October 5th at which time he was found guilty during a trial in absence and two warrants were issued for his arrest.

1:49 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at a residence on Colony Drive in the Bees Creek Plantation Community regarding possession of a vehicle owned by two family members.

2:27 p.m. – A property damage report was filed at the Ridgeland Alternative School at 456 Grays Highway after an 11 year old Hispanic male juvenile involved in an argument with fellow students and staff members pushed over a Kawasaki motorcycle causing damage to the right side. A juvenile petition was filed under the charge of malicious injury to property and forwarded to the Jasper County DJJ Office.

6:54 p.m. – A bicycle was reported stolen from a residence on Wiley Street.

7:13 p.m. – A black male was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lots of several East Main Street businesses. As responding Officers investigated the complaint two black males were observed arguing on East Main Street, one of whom was identified as Tyshawn Payne who was known to have an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from a September 28th 2015 assault at the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:28 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Smiths Crossing Road.

9:17 p.m. – A burglary was reported at a residence on South Logan Street after a suspect entered through an unlocked rear door and stole two firearms.

OCTOBER 11, 2015

1:39 a.m. – A black Buick Lacrosse was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 20 mile marker where driver Jose Juarez-Moreno was found to be operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

9:47 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted on an 83 year old male at a residence on West Adams Street after not being heard from for an extended period of time.

12:37 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported outside of the DSS Offices at 10908 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

1:32 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker in reference to a green Jeep Liberty.

1:39 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Tillman Road in reference to a black pickup towing an orange camper.

3:15 p.m. – An assault involving 3 juveniles was reported at a residence on Great Swamp Road. The incident is said to have occurred more than one week prior to being reported.

3:22 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.

7:08 p.m. – A HTC One cell phone was reported stolen from inside of a vehicle left unlocked at a residence on Wise Street. The incident is said to have occurred Saturday morning between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m.

9:06 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue. Neither party involved wished to pursue charges in the matter.

11:16 p.m. – A silver Chevy Spark was involved in a single vehicle collision after the driver lost control and struck a roadside drainage ditch on Tarboro Road near the Tillman Road intersection. No persons were found inside or around the vehicle upon Law Enforcement arrival at which time J&M Towing removed it from the area.

1:14 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after staff members discovered a patron attempting to enter while carrying a Taurus 380 caliber handgun in his shoe. James Ferguson Jr., 29 of Yemassee SC, was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under the charge of unlawful carry of a handgun.

2:51 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the El Ranchito Restaurant at 11382 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a blue Dodge Neon.

3:15 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a report of female patrons causing a disturbance at Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

4:33 a.m. – A group of males and females were reportedly engaged in a fight at 8250 East Main Street. All parties left the area in two separate vehicles prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

8:50 a.m. – Andre Keanu Riley and Frank Fields III both turned themselves in to Ridgeland Officers at the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to warrants being issued against them after being captured on surveillance video stealing store items from the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive on October 5th. Both suspects were also placed on trespass notice for the business property at Management’s request.

9:25 a.m. – A campsite was discovered in a wooded area on Sisters Ferry Road adjacent to the McCormack Avenue intersection. No persons were located in the area.

10:05 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community.

11:38 a.m. – A camper was broken into at the Green Street Storage Facility at 261 South Green Street sometime after October 4th with the suspect stealing numerous items after breaking in through a side door. Surveillance footage is being reviewed and several items collected from the scene have been submitted to the SLED Forensics Laboratory for analysis and suspect identification.

12:24 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a lottery scratch off ticket.

3:08 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Baptist Church at 1448 Grays Highway.

5:14 p.m. – A reckless driver report was filed in reference to 3 motorcycles traveling South on I-95 around the 41 mile marker.

6:30 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a burglary in progress at the Gillisonville Baptist Church at 10160 Grays Highway.

7:53 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 25 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.

9:35 p.m. – A domestic dispute was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community after the ex-husband of the complainant began to fight with her boyfriend when she brought him to their 5 year old son’s birthday party. The complainant was knocked to the ground when she attempted to get between the two as they fought and the ex-husband left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival. All parties on scene declined medical attention.

10:17 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the intersection of West Main Street and Carters Mill Road in reference to a white male.

11:44 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a white Chevy Silverado.

3:26 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported in the parking lot of the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive.

3:42 a.m. – A white Peterbilt tractor trailer and a black Ford F350 pickup were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

5:58 a.m. – A disturbance was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to an argument stemming from a female acquaintance of the complainant entering the apartment without permission.

7:43 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

9:29 a.m. – A counterfeit $100 bill was turned in to Ridgeland Officers after being received as payment at the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive on October 2nd.

10:25 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported lying on the sidewalk on East Main Street at the North Green Street intersection.

1:00 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at a residence on Oakridge South in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community in reference to an online scam.

1:21 p.m. – A gray Infinity sedan was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker where driver James Thomas Lehr, 18 of Palmetto Bay FL, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

2:29 p.m. – A white male and a black female were reportedly arguing in front of the Harveys Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.

4:39 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 16 mile marker in reference to a red Honda Odyssey.

5:07 p.m. – A green Chevy Tahoe and a silver Ford Mustang were involved in a collision in front of the South State Bank at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

7:10 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies at 893 Grays Highway where Deangelo Ramon Dixon, 27 of Hardeeville SC, was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office under the charges of burglary 2nd and grand larceny. Dixon’s charges stemmed from an October 8th 2015 burglary at the Gale Contractor Services Office at 5678 Speedway Boulevard in Hardeeville where he was captured on surveillance video breaking into the business and stealing several thousand dollars worth of construction materials.

9:06 p.m. – A burglary was reported at a residence on First Avenue after the homeowner returned to find several items missing.

9:57 p.m. – A complaint was filed at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street in reference to a high volume of foot traffic at a neighboring tenant’s room.

11:34 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker in reference to a silver tractor trailer.

4:02 a.m. – A white Dodge Charger was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker where driver Alaina Raquel Avila was found to be operating under a suspended Ohio driver’s license. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger with Avila’s permission.

11:36 a.m. – A white Honda Accord and a white Chevy Avalanche were involved in a collision at the intersection of East Main Street and Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

12:23 p.m. – A larceny report was filed at the Ridgeland Police Department at 1 Town Square in reference to a 2016 tag expiration decal being stolen from a red Chevy pickup.

3:15 p.m. – An unoccupied white Ford Taurus was struck by an unknown vehicle in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

4:23 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Plantation Inn Motel at 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

6:13 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed on Woods Court in reference to barking dogs at a neighboring residence.

OCTOBER 7, 2015

2:26 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Family Dollar Store at 73 South Green Street in reference to a silver Ford.

8:25 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a gold Honda Accord.

9:04 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Ridgeland Family Practice Medical Offices at 109 South Green Street.

9:25 a.m. – An EBT card was reportedly stolen from a residence on Wiley Street sometime on October 4th and used at the Piggly Wiggly and Harveys Grocery Stores. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

11:41 a.m. – A white Ford Taurus and a Suzuki passenger car were involved in a collision on East Main Street near the Wilson Street intersection. No injuries were reported.

5:21 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported on East Main Street in reference to a white male on a motorcycle.

6:28 p.m. – A report was filed at The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a 14 year old female juvenile being neglected by her Mother after dropping her off with a friend at The Palms with no change of clothing or money and then failing to return or contact her for two days. The Mother was eventually located in Beaufort and stated that she would return to pick up her daughter before midnight. The child was turned over to her Father who was advised of the process for gaining full custody.

6:39 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the DaVita Dialysis Center at 112 Weathersbee Street.

8:37 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a gold Chevy Malibu.

OCTOBER 6, 2015

8:07 a.m. – Several items were found behind the Ridgeland Family Practice Medical Offices at 109 South Green Street indicative of someone sleeping on the property.

11:08 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a black pickup towing a boat.

11:15 a.m. – Catina Latrelle Aiken, 42 of Ridgeland SC, was placed on trespass notice for the business property of the 21 Center at 8120 East Main Street as well as the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street at the property owner’s request.

12:17 p.m. – A civil dispute between Management and a tenant was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street.

1:05 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisting Federal Agents apprehended Joseph Duane Walsh and Kristen Lee Bury when they were spotted walking on Carters Mill Road in reference to outstanding warrants issued for their arrest by the Sarasota Florida Police Department under the charges of Felony Child Neglect. Both were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center pending extradition back to Florida.

3:09 p.m. – An assault was reported at a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to a Mother and her two children throwing rocks at the complainant’s children as they got off of the school bus. Both Mothers complained of their children getting harassed and picked on by the other’s children at school and on the bus. A JCSO School Resource Officer responded to the location and was advised of the complaints.

6:30 p.m. – A dispute between several children from neighboring households was reported at a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

7:40 p.m. – A 49 year old intoxicated black male subject fell off of his bicycle on top of the I-95 viaduct at the exit 22 interchange. He was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

8:10 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive in reference to an intoxicated white male.

OCTOBER 5, 2015

4:04 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

8:05 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a female and her fiancé was reported outside of a residence on Russell Street after the male struck the complainant in the face during an argument and forcibly took her phone when she attempted to call for help. The 13 year old daughter of the female was then assaulted by the male when she began to call 911 from a second cell phone. Derrice Marquez Cohen was placed under arrest by responding Officers under domestic violence charges as well as an outstanding Family Court warrant issued against him by the Allendale County Sheriff’s Office. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:59 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a white Dodge Sprinter van.

9:46 a.m. – Yasmeen Contalina Brantley was placed under arrest at the Ridgeland Municipal Courtroom and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Brantley’s charges stemmed from a May 5th 2015 shoplifting incident at 8250 East Main Street where she was captured on surveillance video stealing store items resulting in a warrant being issued against her. She was then arrested for the charge during an August 19th traffic stop on Scarlett Ibis Drive but failed to appear in court to answer to the charges on September 21st at which time she was found guilty during a trial in her absence and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

10:59 a.m. – A shoplifting was reported at the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive after a review of surveillance footage revealed two black males stealing store items on October 4th just after 6:00 p.m. If you have any information on the identity of the suspects pictured below please contact Jasper County Emergency Services at 843-726-7519 or Sgt. 1:24 p.m. – A Honda Accord was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker where driver Meagan Joyce McNeill, 23 of Gaston SC, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. She was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

3:00 p.m. – Officers responding to a civil dispute regarding personal property left inside of a unit at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue placed Eugene Habersham Jr., 44 of Ridgeland SC, on trespass notice for the complex property at the request of the Property Manager.

3:19 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on South Jacob Smart Boulevard at the East Adams Street intersection in reference to a silver Honda passenger car.

4:16 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 26 mile marker in reference to a white Chevy SUV.

4:59 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence at 194 Live Oak Farm Road in reference to the complainant allegedly being followed around town.

5:20 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a white Cadillac.

8:24 p.m. – A legally parked blue Ford Econoline van was struck by an unknown white vehicle in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard which then left the area without reporting the collision. No injuries were reported.

OCTOBER 4, 2015

1:08 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services from a female requesting Law Enforcement who was then disconnected by a male stating that the caller was intoxicated.

2:05 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street in reference to a Dodge Dakota pickup.

2:48 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on McTeer Street.

5:16 p.m. – A silver Dodge Avenger was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker after the driver lost control and struck a group of trees. No injuries were reported.

5:23 p.m. – Marie Cramer Powell turned herself in to Officers at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Powell’s charges stemmed from an August 29th 2015 larceny report filed by a Varnville resident after several unauthorized debit card transactions appeared on their bank statement over the course of three days. Surveillance video and paperwork collected from the various Ridgeland businesses ultimately led to Powell and co-defendant Henry Shawn Spann being charged with committing the offenses at which time warrants were issued against both. Marie Powell received an additional charge after information was obtained by Investigators showing her to have used a second debit card which had been reported stolen by a Beaufort resident on August 27th. Co-defendant Henry Spann was captured by Ridgeland Officers on September 28th following a brief foot pursuit on East Woodlawn and Adams Streets. Both suspects were known to be residing at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard but recently relocated to the Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart after learning that warrants had been issued for their arrest.

8:42 p.m. – A gray Volvo station wagon was involved in a single vehicle collision on Fordville Road. No injuries were reported.

OCTOBER 3, 2015

1:11 a.m. – An abandoned bicycle was reported lying by the roadway at the intersection of South Jacob Smart Boulevard and Smiths Crossing.

1:26 a.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at 8250 East Main Street in reference to a customer shouting threats towards the store clerk. The suspect left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival but was spotted back on the business property 2 hours later at which time he apologized to the clerk who declined pursuing charges.

1:03 p.m. – A suspicious white male in a black pickup was reported at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street.

2:34 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 32 mile marker in reference to a burgundy van towing a burgundy Nissan Pathfinder.

5:25 p.m. – A white Chevy Malibu was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North around the 20 mile marker after the driver lost control and struck the center median guard wires. No injuries were reported.

5:32 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 17 North at Kato Bay Road in reference to a white Ford F150 pickup.

7:16 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

8:00 p.m. – A black male and a white female in an older model tan passenger car were reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive.

10:07 p.m. – A group of juveniles were reportedly standing in the roadway at the intersection of Shadetree Street and Carters Mill Road.

OCTOBER 2, 2015

4:23 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a blue and silver tractor trailer.

8:41 a.m. – A civil complaint was filed at the Liberty Automotive Group at 493 South Green Street in reference to firework debris landing on several inventory vehicles.

12:51 p.m. – A gray Chevy Trailblazer was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker where driver Andrea Alejandra Melara-Torres was found to be operating without a driver’s license. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

12:52 p.m. – A black motorcycle and a black BMW passenger car were reportedly racing on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker.

4:57 p.m. – A male pedestrian was struck on the foot by a vehicle as he walked across South Jacob Smart Boulevard from the Ridgeland Coin Laundry towards the Family Dollar Store on South Green Street. The male declined medical attention and did not wish to pursue the matter.

5:12 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers transported a 27 year old female from Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville to the Palmetto Behavioral Health Center in Charleston SC in reference to an October 1st incident at the I-95 Southbound truck parking area.

5:59 p.m. – An animal complaint was filed at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to a dog being aggressive towards the complainant’s children.

8:09 p.m. – Four males were reportedly shooting fireworks at one another at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street.

8:22 p.m. – A vehicle towing a U-Haul trailer was reportedly traveling North on I-95 around the 19 mile marker with no tail lights in operation.

8:50 p.m. – An animal complaint was filed on Russell Street in reference to barking dogs outside of a neighboring residence.

9:58 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in reference to a 911 call from a resident on Captain Bill Road stating that her gray Lexus passenger car and 12 year old grandson were missing. The vehicle was soon after spotted parked in front of the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street and the juvenile was seen walking back towards it with the keys in his possession. Both he and the vehicle were returned to the rightful owner as a juvenile petition was filed under the charge of incorrigible juvenile and forwarded to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice.

10:56 p.m. – An orange Jeep Liberty was stopped for operating without headlights on Highway 278 at the McTeer Street intersection where driver John Wesley Brown Jr. was found to be operating without a driver’s license as well as being in possession of an open container of liquor. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

OCTOBER 1, 2015

1:33 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Courtney Lane in reference to a black 4 door passenger car parked in the complainant’s yard with the trunk open.

4:09 a.m. – A white Mazda 6 was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker after striking a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported.

4:14 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted between the Travelodge Motel and the Subway Restaurant at 8234 East Main Street after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

7:45 a.m. – Jasper County Deputies conducted a traffic stop for a stop sign violation in front of the Ridgeland High School at 250 Jaguar Trail where driver Keith Brian Low was placed under arrest and turned over to the custody of Ridgeland Officers for transport to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Low’s charges stemmed from a September 25th 2015 larceny report filed at the Advance Auto Parts Store at 10424 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a review of surveillance footage of a suspicious September 23rd incident revealed Low stealing store items and then returning them to the front counter as a return. He then received store credit for the items in the form of a gift card which he immediately attempted to sell to customers and passers by in the parking lot prompting a call to Law Enforcement. A review of Low’s criminal history revealed numerous burglary and larceny convictions resulting in the current charge being enhanced to a felony property crime.

8:12 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence at Devonwood Apartments at 137 Captain Bill Road after an open door was discovered.

9:30 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on East Main Street at the I-95 interchange in reference to a gray Ford F150 pickup.

1:14 p.m. – A blue Honda Accord was stopped for a turn signal violation at the intersection of Wood Duck and Sisters Ferry Road where driver Roberto Navarette-Flores was found to be operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

1:45 p.m. – A green Chevy Blazer was stopped for numerous moving violations including driving in the opposing lane of traffic on Frontage Road at the entrance to the Ridgeland Correctional Institution where diver Angelina M. Chavers was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

2:41 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the intersection of First Avenue and Owens Street in reference to a black female.

3:54 p.m. – Officers responded to the I-95 Southbound truck parking area at the 17 mile marker in reference to a 911 call concerning a 27 year old female from Lumberton NC who may be in the area attempting to do harm to herself. Upon arrival the subject was found conscious and alert inside of her vehicle at which time she was voluntarily transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment and evaluation.

7:48 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a camouflage pickup.
