NOVEMBER 30, 2015

2:16 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported at the intersection of Mango Drive and South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a dark colored Chevy Camaro.

3:12 a.m. – A gray Toyota Camry was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker where driver Annonce Georges was found to be operating under a suspended Florida driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger with Georges’ permission.

7:47 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 32 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

8:03 a.m. – Ashley Louise Riley turned herself in to Officers at the Ridgeland Police Department at 1 Town Square in reference to an outstanding warrant issued for her arrest stemming from a November 20th assault in the parking lot of Heron Crossing Apartments. She was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

9:34 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Medical Center at 1520 Grays Highway.

12:24 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 267 Heron Crossing Road.

2:03 p.m. – A report was filed at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue after two unauthorized debit card transactions made at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard appeared on the complainant’s bank statement. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

2:25 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a silver Hyundai.

4:46 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a green Ford Ranger pickup.

7:23 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 67 West Woodlawn Street in reference to unpaid rental fees.

NOVEMBER 29, 2015

12:05 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed in reference to loud music coming from an event at the Ridgeland Farmers Market at 9935 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

12:18 a.m. – A 40 year old male was voluntarily transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville from his residence on Live Oak Farm Road after making statements that he may wish to do harm to himself.

8:45 a.m. – A gold Ford Taurus was involved in a single vehicle collision after striking a piece of road debris resulting in the driver losing control and striking the center median guard wire on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

10:47 a.m. – A white Honda and a silver Hyundai were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

11:38 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the K&L Granite Facility at 11742 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

12:39 p.m. – A report of a small child riding on the back of a motorcycle without wearing a helmet was filed at a residence in the Oak Plantation Commons Community.

2:47 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a silver Dodge pickup.

5:21 p.m. – A Ford Explorer and a Toyota SUV were involved in a collision on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

6:24 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence on Log Hall Road in reference to threatening text messages.

7:52 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 17 in reference to a Dodge pickup traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

8:34 p.m. – A U-Haul truck and a Chevy Malibu were involved in a collision on I-95 North around the 20 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

8:53 p.m. – A male subject was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive.

10:54 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Bobops Station at 8548 Grahamville Road.

11:01 p.m. – A white Chevy Silverado was stopped at the Exxon Station at 8310 East Main Street after failing to yield right of way to oncoming traffic when turning left from East Wilson Street. Driver Jerell Jubah Jones was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license as well as being listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department at which point he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle. Jones’ outstanding warrant stemmed from a December 14th 2014 incident at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street where he knocked on a tenant’s door and struck the female who answered before fleeing the area on foot after learning that Law Enforcement was en route.

NOVEMBER 28, 2015

2:13 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 67 West Woodlawn Street in reference to a white male in a white passenger car.

10:11 a.m. – A complaint was filed at a West Main Street business in reference to a group of salespersons from Jacksonville Florida going door to door attempting to sell products without a license.

12:01 p.m. – A gold Dodge Journey and a white Toyota Sequoia were involved in a collision on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

1:55 p.m. – Nathaniel Gil Burrison was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center from the intersection of West Main and Russell Street after being found intoxicated and stumbling in the roadway.

3:19 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 278 at the Heritage Road intersection in reference to a burgundy Toyota Corolla traveling East.

7:36 p.m. – A suspicious person report was filed at a residence on Wise Street in reference to three black females.

8:46 p.m. – A female driver reportedly left two infants and two toddlers alone inside of a gold passenger car in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street. The driver returned to the vehicle and left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

9:53 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported inside of a rented room at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive.

10:02 p.m. – A property damage complaint was filed at the Ridgeland Farmers Market at 9935 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after the complainant discovered a shattered taillight and driver’s side window on his tan Chevy Avalanche in the parking lot area.

10:39 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a red pickup.

NOVEMBER 27, 2015

1:03 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Wendys Restaurant at 8480 Grahamville Road in reference to a white male behind the business.

6:01 a.m. – David Leslie Williams was placed under arrest at the intersection of South Jacob Smart Boulevard and Mango Drive after being found intoxicated and staggering in the roadway. A search of his person incident to arrest revealed him to be in possession of a quantity of Morphine Sulfate resulting in an additional charge prior to being transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

7:16 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to a window being shattered with a chair from the outside.

8:57 a.m. – A gray Town & Country mini van was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 23 mile marker after striking a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported.

10:10 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted on a 72 year old male at a residence on Colony Drive in the Bees Creek Plantation Community after a relative in Atlanta GA was unable to reach him by telephone for an extended period of time.

11:42 a.m. – Two females were reportedly fighting in the parking lot of Harveys Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street. Both subjects left the area in separate vehicles prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

6:32 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North in reference to a gray Buick traveling between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

8:45 p.m. – Two black Honda Accords were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Ridgeland Farmers Market at 9935 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

NOVEMBER 26, 2015

255 p.m. – A gray Hyundai Accent was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker where driver Thomas Price, 20 of Charlotte NC, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

4:57 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Shinetown Distillery at 857 James Taylor Drive.

6:59 p.m. – A black male was reportedly standing in the middle of the roadway consuming alcohol in front of the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 24 West Woodlawn Street.

7:10 p.m. – An iPod MP3 player was turned over to Officers at a residence on Captain Bill Road after having been found discarded at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street.

8:49 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 14 mile marker in reference to a silver BMW passenger car.

8:53 p.m. – A gray Toyota Camry reportedly struck an unidentified piece of debris in the roadway on Bees Creek Road. No injuries were reported.

9:11 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a report of a suspicious person being outside of a residence on Apple Blossom Lane in the Mitchellville Community.

10:00 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street.

11:12 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at a residence on Bees Creek Road in reference to loud music coming from a home on Chelsea Lane.

NOVEMBER 25, 2015

9:32 a.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community in reference to an ongoing problem with a black male crossing the homeowner’s posted property.

10:12 a.m. – A forgery report was filed at a residence on Third Avenue after the homeowner discovered that a business client’s check had been stolen from her mailbox and cashed at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard on July 15th 2015. The responding Officer gathered information from Piggly Wiggly Management positively identifying Bradford Keith Sandifer as the person who committed the crime resulting in two warrants being issued for his arrest. At 1:33 p.m. he was taken into custody at his residence on Hagin Drive and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

2:19 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 163 Heron Crossing Road in reference to threats being made against a victim by family members of the suspect involved in a November 20th assault in the parking lot of the complex.

3:09 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a Mother and daughter was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

3:16 p.m. – A silver Honda Ridgeline turning left onto North Jacob Smart Boulevard from West Main Street brushed the hand of a pedestrian as she crossed the intersection from the corner of East Main Street. The driver of the pickup was issued a citation and assigned a court date for failing to yield right of way prior to leaving the area. The female pedestrian was treated by responding EMS Personnel.

4:07 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where Danielle Taylor was turned over to their custody after having been arrested by Hardeeville Officers during a traffic stop in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Taylor’s charges stemmed from a March 10th 2009 incident at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive where she was arrested after being unable to pay her dining bill. A search of her person incident to arrest revealed a glass crack pipe resulting in an additional charge. She was then found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on March 23rd 2009 and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which she failed to comply with resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest.

5:49 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Old House Road in reference to a white passenger car.

6:17 p.m. – A gray Toyota Corolla and a burgundy Chevy Tahoe were involved in a collision on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

6:55 p.m. – A black female was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money outside of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. Catina Latrelle Aiken, 43 of Ridgeland SC, was ordered to leave the property without incident.

8:29 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported on the property of the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.

10:41 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed by a motorist in the parking lot of the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive in reference to a separate vehicle that was allegedly following the caller.

11:05 p.m. – A group of males were reported by a wooded area behind the Ridgeland Alternative School at 456 Grays Highway.

NOVEMBER 24, 2015

12:40 a.m. – A silver Vokswagen Jetta was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker where driver Darius Anthony Simmons was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

10:37 a.m. – A civil dispute was reported at the Citgo Station at 107 Sycamore Drive in reference to a disabled vehicle being left on the business property for 24 hours.

11:37 a.m. – A verbal domestic dispute was reported at a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community.

12:55 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Annex at 1460 Carters Mill Road.

1:13 p.m. – A property damage report was filed at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street in reference to the door of a recently vacated room suffering a broken frame. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

2:09 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a silver cab tractor trailer.

2:16 p.m. – Jerrod Lamar Spann, 37 of Ridgeland SC, was placed on trespass notice for the Gulf and Exxon business properties at 8250 and 8310 East Main Street at Management’s request.

7:05 p.m. – Two suspicious persons were reported in the Harveys Grocery Store parking lot at 8205 East Main Street in reference to a white male and a black male asking customers and passers by for money.

7:31 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 29 mile marker in reference to a red Ford pickup.

7:31 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in reference to a white Ford Explorer in a wooded area behind the Forest Motel.

7:56 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Shinetown Distillery at 857 James Taylor Drive.

8:06 p.m. – Two suspicious persons were reported in the parking lot of the Star Point BP Station at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a black male and a white female.

9:10 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies involved in a vehicle pursuit of a green Dodge pickup traveling West on Highway 462 after the driver failed to stop for a defective equipment violation. The suspect ultimately led the pursuit to a residence at the end of Bell Grove Road where his vehicle became stuck in a small flooded area at which point driver Brandon Lee Simmons, 29 of Beaufort SC, immediately exited and attempted to flee on foot but was quickly taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle. Simmons was charged with defective equipment, reckless driving, failure to stop for blue lights and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. An additional hold was requested in reference to outstanding warrants with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

9:11 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a report of gunshots outside of a residence on Branch Road.

10:23 p.m. – An incorrigible juvenile report was filed at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to an ongoing anger management problem with the caller’s 14 year old son.

NOVEMBER 23, 2015

6:21 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Star Point BP Station at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

7:41 a.m. – A report was filed at the Ridgeland Correctional Institution at 5 Correctional Road after staff members discovered a quantity of marijuana in the possession of a supply truck delivery driver. Responding Officers cited Thomas Henry Robinson, 57 of Gallatin TN, for the offense and assigned a court date prior to him being allowed to leave the area.

8:18 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Kirkland Correctional Institution at 4344 Broad River Road in Columbia SC where inmate Devan Paul Faltus was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Faltus’ charges stemmed from a June 15th 2015 report filed by his former employer, a Lady’s Island landscaping company, after a stolen business check was forged and cashed at the Ridgeland Harveys Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street on June 5th. Surveillance video of the transaction showed Faltus as being the person who committed the offense resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.

10:02 a.m. – A gray Toyota 4Runner was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker where driver Jasil Diaz was found to be operating under a suspended New York driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to the registered owner.

10:59 a.m. – A white Chevy Malibu was stopped for speeding on I-95 South at the exit 18 interchange where driver Ashlee Nicole Malcolm was found to be operating under a suspended Florida driver’s license as passenger Tamara Angelica White, 28 of Gotha FL, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. Malcolm was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to White after she was cited and assigned a court date for simple possession of marijuana.

12:49 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Palmetto Eye Specialists Office at 10911 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

12:55 p.m. – A blue Nissan Rogue and a black Dodge Ram pickup were involved in a collision on Smiths Crossing near the South Logan Street intersection. No injuries were reported.

5:11 p.m. – A gray Ford Taurus and a gray GMC Sierra were involved in a collision in front of the South State Bank at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

6:10 p.m. – A shoplifting was reported at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a black male was witnessed stealing store items. The suspect fled the area on a bicycle traveling South on Jacob Smart Boulevard when confronted by Store Management. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

6:26 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported in front of the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road in reference to a brown Buick passenger car.

6:39 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a residence on Possum Corner Road after the homeowner returned from work to find that an unknown person had forced entry.

8:55 p.m. – A domestic dispute was reported at a residence at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where Cornell Oates and Angela Lynette Hiers were both ultimately placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

NOVEMBER 22, 2015

1:11 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a domestic dispute at a residence on Rice Shire Road after an open line 911 call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services. Anastasia M. Aiken, 30 of Ridgeland SC, was ultimately placed under arrest by Sheriff’s Deputies and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under the charge of assault & battery 3rd.

3:14 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on Fordville Road after several open line 911 calls were received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

4:02 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

5:46 a.m. – A report of gunshots being fired was filed at Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Road.

7:41 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at Ken’s Tire Service at 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

8:36 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.

9:17 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

9:49 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Family Dollar Store at 73 South Green Street after a customer reported no staff members were inside of the business.

11:02 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker in reference to a red flatbed tractor trailer.

11:21 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a white Ford van.

6:35 p.m. – An assault was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street in reference to a black male striking the caller’s 17 year old son. The complainant left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

7:18 p.m. – A disturbance was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a large group of people in the parking lot engaged in a verbal dispute.

7:53 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive in reference to a black male loitering on the back side of the business.

NOVEMBER 21, 2015

3:01 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies after a vehicle was spotted parked in the middle of the roadway with the driver sleeping behind the wheel on Grays Highway just West of Pine Forest Loop. The responding Deputy activated his blue lights at which point the driver immediately placed the vehicle into gear and drove into a roadside drainage ditch before veering back onto the roadway and attempting to leave the area. Darrin Jeffery Clark, 48 of Ridgeland SC, was ultimately placed under arrest by Sheriff’s Deputies and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under the charge of driving under the influence as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

11:17 a.m. – A property damage complaint was filed at a vacant residence on South Logan Street after an unknown person forced entry into a rear door. No items were reported missing.

11:25 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

12:43 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a gray Chevy Trailblazer.

1:00 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to loud music coming from a neighboring residence.

2:19 p.m. – A stray dog was reported in the Oak Plantation Commons Community after having gotten loose from a nearby residence on Grays Highway.

4:32 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a silver passenger car.

6:08 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a white Dodge pickup.

7:09 p.m. – Two suspicious black males were reported behind of a residence on Promise Way attempting to steal A/C unit components. Upon Law Enforcement arrival both suspects immediately fled on foot running through a wooded area and into the Baytree Apartment complex on First Avenue.

NOVEMBER 20, 2015

8:11 a.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was filed in reference to a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community.

8:47 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 462 at the Glover Road intersection in reference to a green GMC Sierra.

9:31 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker in reference to a white Subaru.

9:33 a.m. – Christopher Paul Getsinger was placed under arrest at 242 Hagin Drive and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Getsinger’s charges stemmed from the November 14th 2015 burglary of a residence at Ridge Point Apartments at 669 North Green Street where he forced entry through a front door and attempted to assault the tenant.

1:06 p.m. – Three black females were reportedly involved in a fight at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street. All subjects left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

1:46 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was filed in reference to a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community.

1:57 p.m. – Several females were reportedly shouting at one another in the parking lot of Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Road stemming from an earlier incident at Turpin Park.

2:38 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community in reference to a civil dispute regarding a fence.

3:10 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 20 mile marker in reference to a white Ford Focus.

3:26 p.m. – A report was filed by a resident at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street in reference to a fight between herself and another female that occurred just after 1:00 p.m. at Turpin Park on North Logan Street.

3:57 p.m. – A complaint was filed at a residence on East Adams Street after an unauthorized transaction occurred on the caller’s debit card at a grocery store in Bluffton SC. The card was allegedly stolen during a previously unreported theft of a wallet from the complainant’s vehicle on November 9th. The case was forwarded to the Bluffton Police Department.

4:54 p.m. – An assault occurred in the parking lot of Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive after Ashley Louise Riley, 31, her brother Thomas Lee Riley II, 34, and another female began an altercation with 2 other females stemming from an earlier incident at Turpin Park. All 4 females then began fighting at which point the 25 year old brother of one of the victims attempted to break them up when he was struck from the side by Thomas Riley causing him to lose consciousness. The 3 suspects then fled the area after learning that Law Enforcement was en route. The male victim was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment of injuries sustained in the attack.

12:06 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive.

5:30 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Pizza Bella Restaurant at 8196 East Main Street.

11:02 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a silver Chevy Impala.

12:20 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was filed in reference to a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community.

3:02 p.m. – A black Saab 9.3 fled the area after being involved in a collision with another vehicle on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker. Ridgeland Officers soon after spotted the Saab traveling South on Highway 17 by the exit 18 interchange where a traffic stop was initiated. The driver of the suspect vehicle, Steven Cary Strength, was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license with several previous convictions for driving under suspension appearing on his record as well as being assigned a habitual traffic offender status by the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. A further check of his information revealed him to be listed as a wanted person by the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office for an outstanding possession of cocaine warrant as well as an outstanding failure to pay wildlife fine warrant issued by the Department of Natural Resources. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle. There were no injuries reported in the initial collision involving the suspect which was investigated by South Carolina Highway Patrol Officers.

6:23 p.m. – A suspicious female was reported at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street.

6:56 p.m. – A black male armed with a handgun was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

7:14 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Grahamville Road around the Henry Lawton intersection in reference to a large truck.

7:29 p.m. – A legally parked and unoccupied burgundy Chevy Equinox was struck by a white Ford F150 in the parking lot of the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road. The Ford then left the area without reporting the collision heading South on I-95. No injuries were reported.

9:28 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted South Carolina Highway Patrol in responding to the 27 mile marker on I-95 North after a black Range Rover and a green Dodge Ram 1500 towing a silver BMW 645 were involved in a collision resulting in both lanes of travel being shut down for a period of time. Three persons were transported by EMS to Savannah Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision.

6:40 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive after employees arriving at work discovered an unknown male subject inside of the business. The suspect immediately fled on foot causing damage to a rear screen door. No items were reported missing.

11:07 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker in reference to a dark colored BMW.

11:09 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported behind the Forrest Motel at 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a tan Buick passenger car parked in a wooded area behind the business.

12:34 p.m. – Several juveniles were reportedly playing on the railroad tracks at the intersection of West Main Street and North Railroad Avenue.

1:19 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street in reference to a female driver causing damage to the complainant’s vehicle when opening her driver’s door. Both parties exchanged information and neither desired a collision report.

2:09 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community in reference to an ongoing problem with subjects walking across the property to engage in illegal drug activity.

3:02 p.m. – A white Honda Accord was stopped for speeding on Highway 278 at the Jaguar Trail intersection where driver Yvonne Smalls Alston was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

5:15 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer hauling sheet metal.

5:54 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Shinetown Distillery at 857 James Taylor Drive.

7:01 p.m. – A red Nissan 240SX and a green Ford F150 were involved in a collision on East Main Street at the Ryan Street intersection. No injuries were reported.

12:33 a.m. – Two suspicious white males riding a silver moped were reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street.

1:50 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the I-95 North truck parking area at the 17 mile marker.

4:05 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the McDonalds Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

4:23 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at 8250 East Main Street in reference to a white male.

7:02 a.m. – An animal complaint was filed at a residence on North Green Street in reference to several chickens roaming the area.

8:53 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to two males shouting and swearing in the parking lot area.

9:22 a.m. – A civil complaint was filed by a customer of Proctor’s Small Engine Repair Service at 10626 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

1:07 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Main Street Pharmacy at 7752 West Main Street in reference to a black male in the parking lot area.

1:40 p.m. – An animal complaint was filed at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 209 Heron Crossing Road in reference to a stray cat.

2:25 p.m. – A white male was reportedly rifling through several private mailboxes in the area of Fifth Avenue.

2:25 p.m. – A gold Toyota Tacoma was stopped for numerous moving violations on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker where an elderly male driver was found to be suffering from a medical condition. EMS units responded to the area and ultimately transported the driver to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment as Hook Ups towing took possession of the vehicle.

2:46 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence on Captain Bill Road in reference to menacing Facebook posts.

3:54 p.m. – Terri Renee Toomer was placed under arrest at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 209 Heron Crossing Road and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to 3 outstanding warrants issued against her by the Ridgeland Police Department. Toomer’s charges stemmed from an August 20th 2015 traffic stop at the intersection of North Logan and East Main Street where she used a relative’s name and date of birth in order to avoid charges against herself. The relative who’s information she used later reported the incident on September 8th at which time warrants were issued for Terri Toomer’s arrest.

4:01 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on South Jacob Smart Boulevard around the Green Street intersection in reference to a black Chevy Camaro.

4:35 p.m. – A civil complaint was filed at Perry’s Storage Facility at 716 West Adams Street in reference to an unpaid rental fee.

6:45 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 30 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.

3:25 a.m. – A red Toyota Sienna was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker where driver Leroy Anthony Blair was found to be operating under a suspended Florida driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.

7:36 a.m. – A Samsung Galaxy S5 and an iPhone 6 were reported missing at the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after being accidentally left at the business after 4:00 p.m. on November 15th.

7:50 a.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to unwanted Facebook messages.

12:18 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Annex Electric Office at 9595 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

12:42 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a Mother and daughter was reported at a residence at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street.

3:39 p.m. – Jocelyn Brooke Tillman was placed under arrest at the Ridgeland Municipal Courtroom at 1 Town Square and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after arriving several hours late for her scheduled 9:00 a.m. shoplifting trial where she was found guilty during a trial in absence and sentenced to 30 days in jail. Tillman’s charges stemmed from an August 25th 2015 shoplifting incident at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Boulevard where she was captured on surveillance video stealing store items before fleeing the area on foot when confronted by Management. She was later arrested for the charge during an October 15th traffic stop on Shadetree Street and assigned a court date of November 16th.

2:25 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Great Swamp Baptist Church at 9009 Tarboro Road.

10:02 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a black passenger car.

10:10 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported near the main entry gate of the Ridgeland Correctional Institution at 5 Correctional Road in reference to a male riding a bicycle.

10:22 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Bees Creek Road in reference to a black passenger car.

11:22 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort where inmate Ryan Guy Marshall was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Marshall’s charges stemmed from an August 11th 2015 traffic stop where he was cited and assigned a court date for driving without license. He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court to answer to the charge on September 21st where he was found guilty during a trial in absence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

2:30 p.m. – A silver Chrysler 300 was involved in a single vehicle collision on Tillman Road when the driver lost control and struck a roadside drainage ditch. No injuries were reported.

3:03 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive in reference to a red passenger car.

3:14 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Old House Road at the Wellington intersection in reference to a silver Chevy Traverse.

12:19 a.m. – A missing person report was filed at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 209 Heron Crossing Drive after the omplainant was not able to get in contact with his wife since she left the home at 6:00 p.m. to attend a program at the Royal Live Oaks Academy in Hardeeville. She returned to the home approximately 2 hours after the responding Officer gathered the information and prior to being entered as a missing person.

6:48 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 12 mile marker in reference to a white pickup.

10:29 a.m. – A male subject reportedly pushed against a female customer at the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street before leaving the area on foot walking towards East Adams Street.

11:52 a.m. – A disturbance was reported at the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a diabetic male inmate with low blood sugar becoming combative with responding EMS Personnel. He was transported by Detention Center Staff to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

12:21 p.m. – A possible domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker in reference to a white pickup and a maroon Ford Mustang stopped on the shoulder.

3:22 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a residence on Rice Shire Road in reference to a report of a shooting incident. Once on scene Officers discovered Jamonte Markal Simmons, 18 of Ridgeland SC, lying in a wooded area adjacent to his home having died from an apparent gunshot wound. A 15 year old black male juvenile was ultimately arrested at a nearby home in the Tammy Drive area by Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies and transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Facility in Columbia SC under the charge of murder.

5:14 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the John Deere Show Turf Landscaping Equipment Office at 9454 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

9:44 p.m. – A burglary was reported at a residence at Ridge Point Apartments at 669 North Green Street after the victim’s step brother forced entry through a locked front door and attempted to assault him. The victim, in fear for his safety, fired a single round during the incident striking a wall near the suspect who then fled the area on foot running East towards the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store. A warrant affidavit has been filed against Christopher Paul Getsinger, 30 of Ridgeland SC, charging him with burglary 1st.

4:11 a.m. – A noise complaint was filed at a residence on Smiths Crossing in reference to loud music coming from a neighboring home.

6:24 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Grayco Building Supply Store at 119 Industrial Park Road.

6:33 a.m. – A white Freightliner and a gray Buick Lucerne were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

7:04 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Grays Highway in reference to a gold Buick traveling East towards Ridgeland.

7:26 a.m. – An assault was reported at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive in reference to a female tenant striking the complainant who then left the area and traveled to Bluffton prior to contacting Law Enforcement.

10:01 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Main Street Barbecue Restaurant at 8084 East Main Street after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

12:05 p.m. – A suspected shoplifting complaint was filed at the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive where responding Officers placed James Elton Simmons, 44 of Hardeeville SC, on trespass notice for the business property at Management’s request.

1:04 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Subway Restaurant at 8234 East Main Street after a black female entered the business and began shouting at one of the employees regarding a previous civil matter.

8:31 p.m. – A black Mitsubishi Galant was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker where driver Daniel Flores, 20 of Bluffton SC, was found to be operating without a valid driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

11:49 p.m. – A white Ford Fusion was stopped for an inoperable taillight violation at the intersection of South Jacob Smart Boulevard and East Main Street where driver Alvin Bernard Lee was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license with a previous conviction for driving under suspension appearing on his record. Further investigation revealed passenger Shaontay Shavergil Anderson to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine at which point both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

3:39 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Smiths Crossing.

6:30 a.m. – A domestic dispute was reported between a male and a female at the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. The female advised responding Officers that she had moved out of the upstairs living area and returned on today’s date resulting in an argument. She was ordered to leave the property at the owner’s request and advised to obtain her personal belongings at a later time with a Police escort.

9:09 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

9:16 a.m. – A burgundy GMC Sierra pickup was turned over to Eric’s Towing after being left abandoned at the I-95 North exit 18 junction for more than 48 hours.

10:22 a.m. – A white male was reportedly removing mail from private mailboxes at several North Green Street homes. The suspect was soon after located on Second Avenue.

11:23 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at the Ridgeland Bargains Store at 7797 West Main Street in reference to several of the business windows being shot with paintballs.

12:49 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Annex at 1460 Carters Mill Road.

4:05 p.m. – A report of a suspicious person was filed at the Davita Dialysis Clinic at 112 Weathersbee Street where responding Officers spotted Deshone O’neal Allen standing just outside the business at which time he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Allen’s charges stemmed from the May 24th 2015 burglary of the Handy Dan’s Business Offices at 7596 West Main Street where he shattered a rear window to gain entry. Once inside, Allen rifled through numerous drawers and cabinets ultimately stealing and carrying away several counterfeit bills collected by the business pending turnover to Law Enforcement which he then attempted to spend at various locations in and around Ridgeland over the span of several days. Evidence collected at the crime scene was submitted to the Beaufort County Forensics Laboratory which ultimately returned positively identifying Allen as the person who committed the crime.

6:40 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence at Ridge Point Apartments at 669 North Green Street in reference to an unknown person knocking on the complainant’s door.

12:20 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a husband and wife was reported at a residence on Honeycomb Place in the Bees Creek Plantation Community. The female party left the residence of her own accord prior to the responding Officers departure.

5:24 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 around the 38 mile marker in reference to a pickup traveling South in the Northbound lanes.

8:10 a.m. – Several items were reportedly stolen from a locked Centurylink work van on West Langford Street sometime between November 7th and 8th.

9:31 a.m. – A larceny was reported at a residence on Auburn Hills Drive in reference to a check mailed from the Ridgeland Post Office at 7554 West Main Street on November 9th being stolen and cashed by an unknown person in Walterboro SC. The case was forwarded to the Walterboro Police Department.

4:19 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted on an elderly male subject after being found drifting in and out of consciousness on Brabham Street. He was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

3:31 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at Ned’s Pub & Grub at 11090 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a Honda Accord.

6:28 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 25 mile marker in reference to a Fedex tractor trailer.

6:38 a.m. – A report of a suspicious person was filed at 8250 East Main Street in reference to an Asian male standing outside of the business. Responding Officers ordered the subject, identified only as “Candta”, to leave the property which he complied with but returned moments later at which point he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:20 a.m. – A Hyundai passenger car was struck by a blue tractor trailer in the parking lot of Harveys Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

12:39 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported by a female complainant in reference to a disagreement with Management at a West Main Street business.

2:17 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at a residence at Ridge Point Apartments at 669 North Green Street in reference to a male acquaintance reportedly stealing items from the complainant. The suspect left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

3:13 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 313 Heron Crossing Drive in reference to unwanted Facebook messages.

6:17 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

6:28 p.m. – A small child was reportedly left alone inside of a vehicle in the parking lot of the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street while the female driver went inside of the business to shop.

6:45 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a fight in progress involving numerous individuals outside of a residence on Lady Banks Drive after three females with three children inside of their vehicle arrived at the residence and began a verbal altercation with a 38 year old male over a cell phone. The male told the subjects to leave the property at which point Sabrina Tamara Handy, 26 of Okatie, retrieved a knife from her vehicle and attacked the male stabbing him in the stomach. A 62 year old male friend of the victim then attempted to separate the two at which point he suffered cuts to his fingers and leg before being kicked in the groin area. Sabrina Handy then began pursuing the stabbing victim who ultimately fell to the ground where Shannon Fiona Handy, 23 of Okatie, and Eureka Terraysha Handy, 27 of Beaufort, began striking him as he lay on the ground. Sabrina Handy then returned to the victim’s vehicle where she broke a window and punctured one of the tires with her knife before going back to her vehicle where she retrieved a Taser at which point Law Enforcement arrived on scene. Sabrina, Shannon and Eureka Handy were all placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, assault & battery 2nd and domestic violence of a high & aggravated nature as the male victim was transported by EMS to Savannah Memorial Hospital. The three children left inside of the suspect vehicle were turned over to family members without incident.

5:31 a.m. – A burglary was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street after a black male forced entry into a side door where, once inside, he held a male victim at gunpoint and demanded money. The suspect then fled the area on foot running towards East Main Street. 9:37 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at the Center Court Sportswear Store at 8205 East Main Street in reference to the front glass windows of the business being shot with paintballs during the overnight hours.

9:48 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a black male and a white female was reported in front of the Advance Auto Parts Store at 10424 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

11:27 a.m. – A HTC Droid smartphone with a purple case was reported stolen from the Harveys Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street after the complainant accidentally left it in the restroom.

2:43 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Benson Lane.

5:31 p.m. – A white female was reportedly soliciting prostitution in the parking lot of the Star Point BP Station at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

8:21 p.m. – A complaint was filed at a residence at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street in reference to a group of male juveniles standing around in the parking lot.

11:41 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in front of the main entry gate at the Ridgeland Correctional Institution at 5 Correctional Road in reference to a red Dodge.

NOVEMBER 8, 2015

2:33 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive.

3:57 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where Security Staff had Jorome Simmons detained after he refused to leave the business property. A check of his information revealed him to be listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department at which time he was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Simmons’ charges stemmed from an August 15th 2015 incident at a residence on Hagin Drive where a wallet was stolen from the victim’s unlocked Dodge Ram pickup. Evidence collected from the vehicle was submitted to the SLED Forensics Laboratory which later returned identifying Simmons as the person who committed the crime.

5:53 a.m. – A group of white males in a dark colored Chevy pickup fired several paintballs at the front glass windows of the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street. A second report was filed shortly after in reference to paintballs striking a Ford pickup in the driveway of a residence on Bees Creek Road. Surveillance footage is begin reviewed for suspect identification.

11:04 a.m. – A reckless driver report was filed on I-95 South around the 20 mile marker in reference to two Toyota Corollas.

12:15 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 15 mile marker in reference to a red tractor trailer.

12:49 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Palmetto Veterinary Clinic at 409 South Green Street.

2:38 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker in reference to a black Ford Explorer.

3:07 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at A-1 Towing at 9888 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

3:26 p.m. – Two female employees at the Subway Restaurant at 8234 East Main Street were involved in an argument over job assignments which resulted in one brandishing a Taser in the parking lot in an effort to end the confrontation. The second female then went back inside of the business where she retrieved a knife which she then threw at her co-worker’s vehicle as it left the parking lot. Neither party wished to pursue charges.

5:12 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

8:06 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to the area of Fordville Road around the Timberland Road intersection after several gunshots were reported in the area. A vehicle parked outside of a residence was found to have been struck with no injuries reported.

10:28 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Harveys Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street in reference to a Chevy Cruze.

NOVEMBER 7, 2015

12:44 a.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was reported at the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street in reference to a group of males in a gold Ford Taurus.

12:46 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker in reference to a Chevy Silverado pickup.

1:16 a.m. – A verbal domestic dispute was reported at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 113 Heron Crossing Drive.

6:56 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Gretsch Manufacturing Facility at 248 Grays Highway.

8:28 a.m. – A gray 1991 Buick Park Avenue was turned over to Elite Towing to be removed from the area of Blue Heron Drive after being left parked on the side of the roadway for more than 48 hours and after several unsuccessful attempts to contact the registered owner.

6:35 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported in the parking lot of the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

8:37 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Shinetown Distillery at 857 James Taylor Drive.

10:21 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a report of a group of black males throwing rocks at passing vehicles on Bees Creek Road. Upon arrival the suspects fled on foot entering the former Ridgeland Middle School at 3776 Bees Creek Road. As Officers established a perimeter two of the suspects were apprehended and detained without incident as they exited the rear of the school and a third was pursued to a home located next door to the school where he was taken into custody. A check of the complainant’s vehicle revealed that the items being thrown by the suspects, (ages 12, 13 & 14), were eggs at which time the victim declined pursuing charges.

11:17 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed on Augusta Avenue in reference to a neighboring residence on Wise Street.

11:43 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the intersection of West Main and Russell Street.

11:57 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Grays Highway at the Airport Road intersection in reference to a gray GMC Sierra pickup.

NOVEMBER 6, 2015

6:25 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Gretsch Manufacturing Facility at 248 Grays Highway.

7:37 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

12:51 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a dark gray Suzuki passenger car.

1:29 p.m. – A welfare check was requested in the parking lot of the Beauty World Supply Store at 8205 East Main Street in reference to two females parking in the fire lane in front of the business and going inside leaving a baby and two children alone inside of the vehicle.

1:33 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the EZ Stop IV Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive in reference to unwanted telephone calls.

1:37 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 462 around the Snake Road intersection in reference to a black Ford Ranger pickup.

3:09 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 8 mile marker in reference to a green van.

3:35 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker in reference to a white Hyundai Santa Fe.

3:58 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the intersection of West Main and North Jasper Street in reference to a possibly intoxicated black male riding a bicycle.

4:40 p.m. – Information was received by Ridgeland Investigators that Melissa Marie Deloach was staying in a residence on North Green Street in an effort to evade service of an outstanding shoplifting warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department as well as an outstanding family court warrant issued by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. Officers traveled to the home where Deloach slipped out of a side door and concealed herself as the residence was searched with the permission of the homeowner. A male was discovered hiding between a wall and bed frame who identified himself as Deloach’s brother stating that she had not been seen in several days. After leaving the home Officers began canvassing the area ultimately spotting Deloach attempting to hide behind a large propane tank behind the North Green Street home. A short foot pursuit ensued as Deloach ran through a wooded area towards Jacob Smart Boulevard and then turned North continuing to ignore commands to stop. She was ultimately apprehended without further incident in front of the former SCE&G Office at 11323 North Jacob Smart Boulevard and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Deloach’s charges stemmed from a July 7th 2015 shoplifting incident at 8250 East Main Street where she was captured on surveillance video stealing store items resulting in a warrant being issued against her. She was later arrested for the offense after being found hiding inside of a vacant room at the Plantation Inn Motel at 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard on July 31st. She was then found guilty of the charges in Ridgeland Municipal Court on August 10th and placed on a time payment plan to settle the court ordered fines which she failed to comply with resulting in a second warrant being issued for her arrest.

5:26 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Honeycomb Court in the Bees Creek Plantation Community.

9:59 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a Mother and her son was reported at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after the male discarded his intoxicated Mother’s alcohol when she began shouting and causing a disturbance in the parking lot.

10:30 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Gretsch Manufacturing Facility at 248 Grays Highway.

11:12 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a burgundy GMC Sierra pickup.

11:29 p.m. – A larceny was reported at a residence on McCormack Avenue after the homeowner’s 20 year old son sold a television he took from the complainant’s bedroom. The male fled the area on foot after learning that Law Enforcement was en route.

11:42 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a black Honda passenger car.

NOVEMBER 5, 2015

12:56 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker in reference to a small green pickup.

2:03 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.

5:02 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a black male attempting to steal a flashlight from the complainant. The suspect left the area walking South prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

6:17 a.m. – A report of suspected illegal drug activity was filed at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive in reference to complaints throughout the night regarding one of the rented rooms. Responding Officers spotted one of the room occupants, Raymond Emanuel Taff, highly intoxicated in the parking lot at which time Management requested that he and all room occupants be placed on trespass notice for the business property. Upon approaching Taff and advising him of the situation he immediately began shouting and cursing demanding that he be given a refund and refusing numerous requests to return to his room and gather his belongings resulting in him being placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Sharon A. Taff, 49, and Ricky Carter, 23, both of Ridgeland, were placed on trespass notice and ordered off of the property. Management stated that the room had been prepaid for a one week stay by the Coordinator of the Christ Central Mission on North Jacob Smart Boulevard who would be provided a full refund for the remaining days.

7:28 a.m. – A possible domestic dispute was reported in reference to a male driver being struck by his female passenger in a black Chevy Impala traveling South on Jacob Smart Boulevard around the Smiths Crossing intersection. The vehicle stopped around the exit 18 intersection where the male stated to responding Officers that no such event had occurred.

7:31 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Palmetto Eye Specialists Office at 10911 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

11:24 a.m. – A silver Nissan Sentra was stopped for a suspended tag violation at the intersection of West Main Street and Railroad Avenue where driver Peter Collin Redgate, 56 of Bluffton SC, was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license as well as having no valid insurance coverage on the vehicle. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

12:20 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at a residence on Captain Bill Road in reference to a dispute between the property owner and tenant.

1:43 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Palmetto Eye Specialists Office at 10911 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 911 hang up call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

4:00 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker in reference to a dark blue International tractor trailer.

4:32 p.m. – Two vehicles were reportedly rummaged through during the nighttime hours on the property of J&M Towing at 159 South Green Street. No items were reported missing.

4:38 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

5:03 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Bees Creek Road at the Rice Shire Road intersection in reference to a green Chevy Suburban.

5:22 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported in front of the Ridgeland Post Office at 7554 West Main Street in reference to a black male attempting to flag down passing motorists.

6:10 p.m. – A harassment was reported at the intersection of Smiths Crossing and Wall Street in reference to an ongoing dispute between the complainant and Charles Jonathan Nix stemming from a November 4th incident in the parking lot of the Pizza Hut Carryout at 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard which resulted in a warrant being issued against Nix. Officers soon after spotted him in the passenger seat of a blue Ford F-250 at the intersection of West Main Street and Railroad Avenue where a traffic stop was initiated and he was placed under arrest. In addition, a check of his information showed him to be listed as a wanted person by the Bluffton Police Department stemming from an outstanding public disorderly conduct warrant resulting in a hold being placed on him pending extradition to the Beaufort County Detention Center..

7:09 p.m. – A black female was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street.

7:31 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker bordering the Ridgeland Correctional Institution property.

8:33 p.m. – Jasper County Deputies spotted Jaron Voorna Brisbane operating a white Honda Pilot exiting the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard where they attempted a traffic stop in reference to outstanding warrants issued against him by the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from a September 9th 2015 traffic stop. The suspect immediately fled from the Deputy initiating a pursuit traveling South on Jacob Smart Boulevard. Brisbane then attempted to turn left at the I-95 exit 18 intersection where he lost control of the vehicle and collided with several trees. All occupants inside of the suspect vehicle immediately exited and fled the area on foot running towards Bees Creek Road. A Ridgeland tracking K-9 was deployed revealing that Brisbane had run to a second vehicle at a residence on Bees Creek Road and again fled the area.

NOVEMBER 4, 2015

1:08 a.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was filed at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive in reference to two rented rooms.

2:31 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a white GMC pickup parked behind the business.

3:19 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at 8250 East Main Street in reference to a white male behind the business.

6:43 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Honeycomb Court in the Bees Creek Plantation Community.

1:15 p.m. – Jasper County Deputies arrested Tonya Renee Benson at a residence on Tillman Road in reference to an outstanding family court bench warrant as well as an outstanding larceny warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Benson’s larceny charge stemmed from an October 13th 2015 theft at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street where she stole money from a tenant’s room while employed as a housekeeper.

1:38 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the intersection of Sweet William and Old House Road in reference to a white female attempting to flag down passing motorists.

2:43 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue. The male party ultimately left the area of his own accord without incident.

2:58 p.m. – A large number of deer carcasses were dumped on the property of the John Deere Show Turf Landscaping Equipment Office at 9454 South Jacob Smart Boulevard by an unknown person.

4:07 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the All Childrens Pediatrics Office at 11382 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

4:15 p.m. – An incorrigible juvenile report was filed at a residence on Promise Way in reference to a domestic dispute between a Mother and her 15 year old son.

5:09 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker in reference to a dark colored Honda passenger car.

6:54 p.m. – A property damage report was filed in the parking lot of the Pizza Hut Carryout at 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a verbal dispute between Charles Jonathan Nix, 20 of Ridgeland SC, and the Stepfather of a 16 year old juvenile female resulted in Nix shattering the rear driver’s side window of the complainant’s vehicle with a flashlight before fleeing the area.

7:13 p.m. – A white Nissan Altima was stopped for driving with no headlights in operation in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where driver Felite Medina was found to be operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

7:30 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Gretsch Manufacturing Facility at 248 Grays Highway.

7:34 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on Grays Highway in reference to a possible domestic dispute between a Stepfather and his Stepdaughter. The alleged victim declined pursuing charges in the matter.

8:16 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive in reference to a red Chevy Monte Carlo.

8:37 p.m. – A harassment report was filed at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive in reference to an ongoing problem with a black male knocking on the complainant’s door at random times during the night.

10:01 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on South Logan Street at the Smiths Crossing intersection in reference to a possibly intoxicated driver.

NOVEMBER 3, 2015

1:04 a.m. – A Peterbilt and an International tractor trailer were involved in a collision in the truck parking area on I-95 North around the 17 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

5:55 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 28 mile marker in reference to a red tractor trailer.

9:51 a.m. – A silver Suzuki Vitara was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker after the driver lost control and struck a group of trees. No injuries were reported.

10:23 a.m. – A Peterbilt and a Freightliner tractor trailer were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker in the center median. No injuries were reported.

10:39 a.m. – A gold Freightliner and a white Freightliner tractor trailer were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker. Both drivers were transported by EMS to Savannah Memorial Hospital for treatment.

12:48 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 25 mile marker in reference to two motorcycles.

12:51 p.m. – Marquis Trava Hamilton turned himself in to Ridgeland Officers at the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to three outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Hamilton’s charges stemmed from a July 28th 2015 traffic stop on South Jacob Smart Boulevard where he was arrested and charged with driving under suspension 3rd, speeding & defective equipment. He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court to answer to the charges on August 31st where he was found guilty during a trial in absence and warrants were issued for his arrest.

1:00 p.m. – A larceny was reported at the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 67 West Woodlawn Street in reference to a tablet allegedly taken from a female complainant after leaving it inside of a vehicle.

2:46 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported in the parking lot of the Jasper County Magistrates Office at 967 West Adams Street in reference to a black male standing beside the complainant’s vehicle. As responding Officers arrived in the area the suspect began walking away hurriedly towards The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. Keith Garvin was ultimately placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being determined to be intoxicated.

3:08 p.m. – An unoccupied passenger car was struck by an unknown vehicle which then left the area in the parking lot of the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

5:29 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to an argument occurring as the female party gathered belongings to move out of the home.

5:57 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 20 mile marker in reference to a red pickup.

6:10 p.m. – A black male was captured on surveillance video stealing items at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. He returned the items when confronted by Management and left the area walking towards Green Street. The footage is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

6:55 p.m. – A pickup and a SUV were involved in a collision in the parking area of the Ridgeland little league baseball field at 456 Grays Highway. No injuries were reported.

7:19 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on South Jacob Smart Boulevard around the Adams Street intersection in reference to a white Toyota passenger car.

7:35 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Sycamore Drive in reference to a white Buick passenger car.

7:42 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to a black male walking back and forth between vehicles and buildings.

8:52 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported on West Adams Street after the female party began walking South on the railroad tracks following an argument with her estranged husband. She was ultimately located at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street where she stated she wished to have no contact with the male.

8:57 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence on McCormack Avenue after flickering lights were seen inside of the home.

10:13 p.m. – A quantity of power and hand tools was discovered by a wooded area on the railroad tracks behind the Family Dollar Store at 73 South Green Street. The property was seized by Ridgeland Officers pending collection by the rightful owner.

NOVEMBER 2, 2015

12:01 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies at a residence on East Adams Street where James Anthony Jackson, 47 of Ridgeland SC, was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to 4 outstanding fraudulent check warrants issued by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

12:29 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of gunshots and a female screaming at the Southeast Pyrotechnics Warehouse at 11142 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. Upon arrival a female was found on scene who stated that she and her fiancé had been involved in an argument resulting in items being thrown and broken inside of the upstairs living area of the business. The male party allegedly fled the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival and was not located inside of the home or business during a welfare check conducted by responding Officers.

7:39 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Benson Lane.

7:49 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Outpost Clothing Store at 10545 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

10:01 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a black Chevy Impala.

10:41 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported on West Main Street at the Great Swamp Road intersection in reference to a black male attempting to flag down passing motorists.

11:12 a.m. – Alexander Holmes was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center from the Ridgeland Municipal Courtroom at 1 Town Square after being sentenced to 40 days in jail. Holmes’ charges stemmed from a September 15th 2015 traffic stop where he was arrested and charged with speeding and driving under suspension. He then arrived in court to answer to the charges 2 hours late on yesterday’s date where he was advised that he had been found guilty during a trial in absence and taken into custody.

12:18 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female tenant at the Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard resulted in the female party ordering the male to leave and not allowing him to retrieve his clothing.

12:33 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Annex at 1460 Carters Mill Road.

1:06 p.m. – A hunting party on the Good Hope Plantation property discovered a burned 2004 Nissan Murano parked in a wooded area on the property. The vehicle was ultimately determined to have been reported stolen to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office from a residence on Cherry Hill Road on Sunday November 1st at 10:00 a.m. The vehicle was removed from the area by J&M Towing.

1:47 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Benson Lane.

2:06 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a silver Chevy van.

3:42 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a blue pickup towing a silver trailer.

5:11 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Courthouse at 265 Russell Street.

5:44 p.m. – A 13 year old juvenile male suffered a possible fractured leg after being pinned against a post by a pickup being driven in reverse by a 15 year old male on the Good Hope Plantation property. The patient was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment.

8:13 p.m. – A burglary was reported at a residence at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street after a suspect forced entry and caused damage to several items inside of the home.

10:01 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Bobops Convenience Store at 8548 Grahamville Road in reference to a silver Jeep.

10:09 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

NOVEMBER 1, 2015

1:15 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot of the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street in reference to a green Honda passenger car with an open trunk.

2:16 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 around the 22 mile marker in reference to a vehicle traveling South in the Northbound lanes.

7:10 a.m. – A report of gunshots being fired was filed at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

1:02 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

2:17 p.m. – A silver Toyota 4Runner was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker where driver Carlos Alberto Ponce was found to be operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

6:07 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a black Lincoln Navigator.

8:50 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 17 in reference to a dark colored vehicle traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland with no headlights in operation.

10:55 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to loud music coming from a neighboring residence.
