NOVEMBER 30, 2013

Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street. No charges were filed.

A civil dispute was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street in reference to a tenant’s complaint about the state of his room resulting in a request for a refund.

A report of possible gunshots was reported in the Mason Street area.

An intoxicated male was reportedly harassing customers at the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street. Management requested that the individual leave the property and no charges were filed.

NOVEMBER 29, 2013

Shayne Ganong was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant after being spotted by Officers walking in front of the Farmer’s Market at 9935 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. Ganong was cited on March 12, 2013 for passing a stopped school bus and later convicted in Ridgeland Municipal Court with a sentence imposed of community service. After failing to comply with the Judge’s order a warrant was issued for his arrest on September 30th.

Officers discovered an unlocked vacant business at 8120 East Main Street. The building was searched before being secured.

A report of property damage was filed at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road after a green Ford Expedition struck one of the business signs.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

An assault was reported at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a female suspect approached a silver Kia Rio and began beating on the windows threatening to kill the occupant.

A child welfare check was conducted at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community after a 911 call was received from a juvenile stating that they had been left at home alone. Once on scene Officers discovered that a babysitter was with the children.

Officers responded to a civil dispute at a residence on Malphrus Street where a former tenant claimed that her belongings had been removed from the home before the agreed upon date after being evicted.

NOVEMBER 28, 2013

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the roadway at West Main Street and North Railroad Avenue where they discovered a black Pontiac Trans Am stopped in the lane of travel with the engine running and driver Jerome Barnes asleep behind the wheel with the transmission in drive and a quantity of schedule 2 and 3 narcotics in his lap. Passenger Len Gilbert Jr. was found sleeping with a 40 caliber handgun in his lap as well as an open container of alcohol. Both suspects were awakened and placed under arrest at which time Len Gilbert was found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine as well as schedule 2 and 3 narcotics and Jerome Barnes, who is a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a 40 caliber handgun. Both were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

Officers responded to a welfare check of a juvenile at a residence on Captain Bill Road in reference to asthma medication.

A silver Chevy Cruze was stopped for speeding on I-95 South where driver Naysha Hewitt was found to be operating under a suspended Florida driver’s license for failure to pay traffic tickets. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Advance Auto Parts Store at 10424 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A civil dispute was reported in reference to auto repair work performed at Smith’s Body Shop at 533 South Green Street.

A BMW 330i was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Tatiana Cabrera was found to be operating under a suspended Georgia driver’s license. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.

A suspicious person was reported at Taylor’s BP Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive where Catina Aiken was placed on trespass notice for the business property.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the American Car Care Center at 11263 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A welfare check of an elderly man was requested at a residence on Wise Street. The subject was transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville by EMS personnel.

NOVEMBER 27, 2013

A white Chevy S10 pickup was found abandoned with no wheels or tag in the Kato Bay Road area. It was towed and stored by A1 Towing.

A sexual assault was reported at a residence on Promise Way. This case is currently under investigation.

A gray Dodge Dakota was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Douglas Kosarek was found to be operating under a suspended Florida driver’s license with 3 previous active suspensions. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Al’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Advance Auto Parts Store at 10424 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

An escort to gather personal belongings was requested at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive in reference to a previous unreported domestic dispute.

A complaint of a resident refusing to return a radio to the complainant was reported at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue. No charges were filed.

NOVEMBER 26, 2013

A theft was reported at a residence at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street where two males were reportedly allowed into the residence after asking to use the restroom at which time they took an undisclosed amount of cash as they left. The victim stated that the incident occurred on yesterday’s date but he failed to report it at the time.

A Ford F150 was struck by an unknown vehicle in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard causing damage to the rear bumper area. The suspect vehicle then fled the area without reporting the collision.

A multi-colored beach bag containing clothing and medications was reported stolen out of an unlocked vehicle parked at the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street.

Two suspicious persons were reported in a wooded area behind the former Habitat For Humanity Resale Store at 11332 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A Honda Pilot was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker after losing control during a heavy rainstorm. No injuries were reported.

NOVEMBER 25, 2013

A purse was reported stolen from a parked vehicle on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community. It was later recovered in a wooded area behind another residence and collected for submission to the Beaufort County Forensics Laboratory for DNA analysis.

A suspicious vehicle towing an RV was reportedly parked in the roadway blocking traffic in front of the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street.

Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Charleston County Detention Center where a hold had been placed on inmate Donna Rountree in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department for failure to appear in court on a driving under suspension charge stemming from a traffic stop on I-95 South on November 11, 2012. She was transported back to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Several juvenile subjects were reportedly throwing stones at houses on Newlin Drive.

A missing juvenile was reported at a residence on Great Swamp Road. He was later discovered at a friend’s house on Captain Bill Road and returned home to his parents. No charges were filed.

NOVEMBER 24, 2013

Officers responded to two separate activated alarms at a residence on James Taylor Drive.

A red Ford Explorer was stopped for speeding on West Main at the Russell Street intersection where driver Ramiro Olivares-Ivon was found to be operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to registered owner Melissa Olivares after she was cited for allowing an unauthorized driver.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

Ridgeland Officers assisted EMS Personnel at the Plantation Inn at 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where a subject had placed 911 call stating that he swallowed a quantity of illegal narcotics. He was transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville by EMS Personnel.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper Spay & Neuter Animal Clinic at 21 Getsinger Drive.

NOVEMBER 23, 2013

A report of a stolen car was filed by a resident on East Adams Street in reference to a burgundy Kia Spectra. Upon further investigation it was determined that the vehicle had not been stolen but lent to a friend. No charges were filed.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on James Taylor Drive.

Two suspicious vehicles were reported around the 22 mile marker on I-95 North next to the Ridgeland Correctional Institute.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Main Street Pharmacy at 7752 West Main Street.

A red Infinity G35 was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Daniel Mendez’s license plate was found to be under a state of suspension due to cancellation of insurance. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the New Hong Kong Restaurant at 8084 East Main Street.

NOVEMBER 22, 2013

A suspicious subject loitering on the property was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive. Once on scene, Officers discovered Alvelino Zepeda-Flores intoxicated on the business sidewalk. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers responded to a civil dispute regarding an escort to gather personal belongings at a residence on East Adams Street.

A subject possibly carrying a gun was reported at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street.

A black Toyota Camry was involved in a single vehicle collision on Highway 462 at the Salzburg Landing intersection when it struck a deer. No injuries were reported.

A suspicious silver Dodge Avenger was reported parked by a residence on James Taylor Drive. The caller stated that the vehicle has been on the property repeatedly and suspected of engaging in illegal narcotics. As Officers approached, 3 juvenile males fled from the vehicle and into the wooded area behind the residence. The were later discovered walking on Captain Bill Road. No charges were filed.

A civil dispute was reported at a residence on Promise Way in reference to an ex-roommate’s personal belongings.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at SCB&T at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A motorist in a white Chevy pickup at the Piggly Wiggly at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard filed a report in reference to an unknown object coming off of a tractor trailer and striking his vehicle on I-95 South. No injuries were reported.

NOVEMBER 21, 2013

Ridgeland Investigators obtained an arrest warrant against Gwenetta Ann Harris, 40 of Rincon GA, charging her with embezzlement of public funds following an investigation that began on November 18th when members of the Jasper County School District filed a report in reference to numerous fraudulent purchase orders in excess of $10,000 sent by her to Apple Inc. for products and accessories which she then kept for her personal use.

A report of sexual assault was filed at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community. This case is currently under investigation.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the New Hong Kong Restaurant at 8084 East Main Street.

A shoplifting occurred at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard when Erica Fripp, 20, and Anastasia Aiken, 28, both of Ridgeland, entered the store with an unknown female wearing a yellow jacket. The incident was captured on video surveillance which has been turned over to Investigators for review and pending charges.

A suspicious person was reported at the Taylor’s BP Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive.

Officers responded to a residence at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street in reference to a window being busted out of a silver Honda Accord. After speaking with the victim it was determined that the incident had occurred the previous night at The G Spot Club in the Wagon Branch area. The case was then turned over to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Boat & RV Store at 401 Sycamore Drive.

A moped was involved in a single vehicle collision in the parking lot of Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street when the driver lost control. Minor injuries were reported.

NOVEMBER 20, 2013

A civil dispute regarding two former roommates and their personal property was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

NOVEMBER 19, 2013

A silver Toyota Scion was stopped for no vehicle tag on North Jacob Smart Boulevard at the Wilson Street intersection where driver Eduardo Jimenez was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license stemming from a cancellation of insurance. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

A UPS tractor trailer was involved in a collision at the McDonald’s drive-thru area at 8548 Grahamville Road where it struck a metal post. No injuries were reported.

NOVEMBER 18, 2013

Lavonna Bryson was found guilty at a trial in her absence and a bench warrant issued against her at Ridgeland Municipal Court in reference to an October 23rd larceny in the parking lot of the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road in which she was captured on surveillance footage entering a co-worker’s vehicle and removing a quantity of cash. She arrived at Ridgeland Police Department soon after her trial at which time she was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

A Black Nissan Altima and a White Honda Accord were involved in a collision on East Main Street at the I-95 interchange. Minor injuries were reported.

Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Greenville County Detention Center where a hold had been placed on inmate Phebe Garay in reference to 2 outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department after she failed to appear on court on driving under suspension and leaving the scene of an accident stemming from a collision she was involved in on May 14th at the Main and Green Street intersection. She was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

A larceny complaint in reference to a stolen dog was filed at the Plantation Inn at 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. No charges were filed.

A black Dodge Charger was stopped for traveling 101 mph on I-95 South where driver Roberto DeSilva was placed under arrest for reckless driving. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

An incorrigible juvenile complaint was filed at a residence on Promise Way. No charges were filed.

A black Chevy Malibu was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Ashley Paul-Miles was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license stemming from a previous DUI conviction. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to the registered owner.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at Grayco at 119 Industrial Park Road.

Rodney Hugue was placed under arrest at Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 67 West Woodlawn Street in reference to a warrant being issued against him stemming from a breech of trust incident at The Appliance Depot on November 13th. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

NOVEMBER 17, 2013

Officers responded to a civil dispute at a residence on North Logan Street in reference to a verbal agreement concerning the sale of a boat. The parties involved were advised on the process to file a civil court action.

A harassment complaint was filed at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. No charges were filed.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Star Point BP Station at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A suspicious vehicle fire occurred at Smith’s Body Shop at 533 South Green Street where a 2002 Nissan Altima was found partially burned. The vehicle was in the care of Smith’s Body Shop after being involved in a single vehicle collision on North Logan Street on October 12th.

A suspicious person was reported at the Pizza Bella Restaurant at 8196 East Main Street.

Jocelyn Gasbarre was placed under arrest after being found intoxicated and stumbling in the roadway on Grays Highway in front of the Ridgeland Baptist Church. She was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

A harassment complaint was filed at Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 67 West Woodlawn Street. No charges were filed.

NOVEMBER 16, 2013

A black AT&T iPhone 4S was reported stolen from a residence on East Adams Street.

A report was filed by a motorist on I-95 North in reference to an item falling from a truck traveling in front of her and causing damage to the windshield of her Chevy Trailblazer.

A suspicious person was reported at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

Officers recovered a discarded article of drug paraphernalia at Turpin Park at 901 North Green Street.

A harassment complaint was filed at The Appliance Depot at 107 Brabham Street in reference to unwanted phone calls.

A report of several males possibly involved in a fight was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

A 15 year old female was reported missing from a residence on Second Avenue. The juvenile was soon after located at a friend’s residence and returned home.

A harassment complaint was filed at the Plantation Inn at 11433 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a subject living at Oakridge Trailer Park causing a disturbance.

NOVEMBER 15, 2013

A suspicious vehicle was reported in a ditch on Wellington Road. Officers discovered the white 2009 Toyota Corolla to be unoccupied at which time Cleland’s Towing responded to remove it from the area.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at Handy Dan’s Exxon at 8310 East Main Street.

Ridgeland Investigators following up on a November 13th larceny at The Appliance Depot at 107 Brabham Street obtained evidence that an electric range was also missing from the business. A warrant affidavit has been filed against Rodney Hugue, 51 of Ridgeland, charging him with breech of trust.

Officers responded to a reported theft by a former roommate at a residence on Promise Way. No charges were filed.

A disorderly subject was reported at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. Responding Officers placed Clinton Green, 58 of Ridgeland, on trespass notice for the business.

A harassment complaint was filed at The Appliance Depot at 107 Brabham Street. No charges were filed.

NOVEMBER 14, 2013

A tan GMC Safari minivan was stopped for speeding on I-95 South where driver Earnest Jenkins was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol as well as operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license with 3 previous driving under suspension convictions on his driving record in addition to being labeled a habitual traffic offender by the SCDMV. Upon further investigation the tag on Jenkins’ vehicle was found to be registered to a Pontiac Grand Am as well as listed on NCIC as stolen out of Beaufort County. Jenkins was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

A suspicious vehicle was reported parked behind Pearls & Plunder at 7772 West Main Street.

Officers responded to the Star Point BP Station at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a subject attempting to cash a stolen check. Upon arrival Nicholas Wyndham was placed under arrest after being found in possession of a business check listed as stolen from Lafayette Square Apartments out of Beaufort bearing a forged signature. Upon further investigation Officers learned that Wyndham had cashed 6 additional forged checks at the same location between October 6th and November 4th. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen out of the register at Ken’s Tire Service at 10464 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A suspicious person was reported at the Main Street Barbecue Restaurant at 8084 East Main Street.

A green Honda passenger car was stopped for an equipment violation on Frontage Road in front of the Ridgeland Correctional Institute where passenger Matthew Black, 27 of Ridgeland, was found to be listed as a wanted person by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. He was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

MATTHEW BLACK

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.

Jennifer Smith was placed under arrest at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to a warrant being issued against her for breach of trust after Investigators received a report on November 8th that someone had used a Ridgeland/Hardeeville High School Athletic Booster Club bank account to pay personal bills on October 23rd and again on October 28th. She was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

NOVEMBER 13, 2013

Ridgeland Officers responded to the area of the Ridgeland Correctional Institute after prison officials spotted a subject throwing a package of contraband over the fence and then fleeing the area. Rolando Greene was then spotted in the area and positively identified as the subject seen committing the offense. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Live Oak Farm Road.

A mattress was reported stolen from The Appliance Depot at 107 Brabham Street. Charges are pending review of the store’s video surveillance system.

Thaita Jones was placed under arrest at the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street in reference to an outstanding warrant issued against her after she was identified as the person captured on video surveillance stealing 2 money orders from the Captain Bill BP Station on October 3rd at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. She was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Courthouse at 265 Russell Street.

A loitering complaint was filed at Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street. No charges were filed.

Officers responded to I-95 around the 22 mile marker after receiving a 911 call from a motorist stating that 2 males had been seen being dropped off on the side of the interstate and running into the wood line towards the Ridgeland Correctional Institute. Investigators spotted the 2 males in the area at which point a foot pursuit ensued as the suspects threw a package to the ground wrapped in plastic and duct tape. Karl Williams and Rondell Harriett were placed under arrest as they attempted to flee towards exit 22 and were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on James Taylor Drive.

A harassment complaint was filed at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street in reference to unwanted calls and texts from an ex-boyfriend. A warrant affidavit was later filed against Warren Brown, 36 of Tillman, for trespassing on the property of Logan Lane Apartments after being placed on trespass notice on October 1st.

Erika McDiffett was placed under arrest at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive in reference to an outstanding warrant being issued against her for forgery after she was identified as the person filing a fraudulent application for electric service with SCE&G on October 22nd. She was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

NOVEMBER 12, 2013

A man was seen kicking in the front door of an apartment on East Wilson Street but fled the area prior to Police Arrival. No items were reported stolen.

A 2006 Mariah motorboat was reported stolen from Boat & RV World at 401 Sycamore Drive. It was later recovered after being spotted by a Jasper County Deputy parked by the treeline at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church on Bees Creek Road.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on James Taylor Drive.

Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in the area of Bees Creek Road and Crested Eagle Drive after Donald Leroy Pinckney, 22 of Ridgeland, fled from a Deputy in reference to an outstanding warrant. He was later tracked on Jasper Station Road and eventually located and arrested by a DNR Officer at the Cherry Point Shell Station at 2935 North Okatie Highway and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

DONALD PINCKNEY

Several pieces of identification which were reported stolen from St. Helena Island in Beaufort County in September were discovered in a discarded trash bag on a service road behind the Handy Dan’s Exxon Station at 8310 East Main Street.

A complaint of loitering and illegal drug activity was reported at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to several people in the parking lot.

A Monaco Dynasty RV was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker when it blew a tire and left the roadway striking a group of trees. No injuries were reported.

NOVEMBER 11, 2013

A purse was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle from a residence on Wise Street and was later found discarded in a drainage pipe. It has been submitted to the Beaufort County Forensics Laboratory for analysis and suspect identification.

A burglary occurred at a residence on First Avenue where several items were removed by a former tenant. The victim declined pursuing charges.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community.

A suspicious person was reported at the Jasper Hair Boutique at 10688 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A Plymouth Voyager was involved in a collision with a deer on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

NOVEMBER 10, 2013

A white Acura Integra was stopped for speeding on I-95 South where driver Heather Pinto was found to be operating under a suspended New York driver’s license. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.

Three loud music complaints were filed in reference to a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the New Hong Kong Restaurant at 8084 East Main Street.

A report of illegal drug activity was filed at the Days Inn Motel at 8216 East Main Street concerning narcotics being sold out of a room.

Several juveniles reportedly started a brush fire at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

A loud music complaint was filed in reference to the Farmers Market on South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A Pontiac Firebird was involved in a single vehicle collision when it left the roadway and became stuck in a drainage ditch on Tillman Road at the Great Swamp Road intersection. No injuries were reported.

A trespassing complaint was filed by a resident at Oakridge Trailer Park on North Green Street in reference to a subject refusing to leave the residence. No charges were filed.

NOVEMBER 9, 2013

Officers responded to an assault at a residence on Carters Mill Road where Matthew Dara, 23, Melissa Deloach, 24, Matthew Black 27 and Tiffani Johnson, 24, all of Ridgeland, reportedly arrived at the residence making threats and assaulting the homeowner. Matthew Dara was placed on trespass notice for the property at the request of the homeowner on scene as the other 3 suspects fled the area prior to Police arrival.

A Samsung Galaxy S2 Smartphone was reported stolen from the Ridgeland High School at 456 Grays Highway.

A gray Honda Accord was stopped for speeding on I-95 South where driver Langston Johnson was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license for failure to pay taxes as well as displaying a suspended vehicle tag and operating uninsured. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

A suspicious person was reported at Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.

Matthew Dara was reported to be trespassing and causing a disturbance at a residence on North Green Street. No charges were filed.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Volvo Equipment Rental Store at 95 Bees Creek Road.

A burglary was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community. Evidence collected at the scene has been submitted to the Beaufort County Forensics Laboratory for analysis and suspect identification.

A suspicious person was reportedly banging on doors at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street.

A loud music complaint was filed by a resident at Bees Creek Plantation.

A complaint of loud music, loitering and illegal drug activity was reported in the parking lot of Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Dean Bell Law Office at 87 Grays Highway.

NOVEMBER 8, 2013

Ridgeland Officers were dispatched to Firefly Drive where Jasper County Deputies had located Roosevelt Aiken who was listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to an outstanding warrant stemming from a shoplifting incident on December 19, 2011 at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street. He was turned over to the custody of Ridgeland Officers and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive.

A GMC Yukon, a Pontiac Grand Am and a Honda Accord were involved in a collision on East Main Street around the Logan Street intersection. The driver of the vehicle determined to be at fault was cited for an ABC violation as well as simple possession of marijuana.

Henry Spann was placed under arrest at the intersection of Main Street and North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to an assault that occurred on October 29th at a residence on North Green Street. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at R&M Small Engine Repair at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A black Ford Expedition was stopped for speeding on South Logan Street where driver Wilson Pinckney was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol as well as operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license with a previous conviction for driving under suspension on his record. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was towed from the area by Blatchley’s Towing.

A report of financial transaction card fraud was reported by members of the Ridgeland/Hardeeville High School Athletic Booster Club regarding improper charges to a Booster Club account.

A suspicious person was reported at Taylors BP Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive.

An Oldsmobile Alero was involved in a collision with a deer at the intersection of Highway 17 and Smiths Crossing. No injuries were reported.

The owner of a gold Toyota Camry filed a report regarding a pothole between the KFC and New Hong Kong Restaurants.

A report of financial transaction card fraud was filed in reference to an incident at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street and the Liberty Convenience Store at 8548 Grahamville Road. Charges are pending review of surveillance footage.

A burglary was reported at a residence at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street.

A Ford F250 Super Duty pickup hauling a horse trailer and a red Pontiac Grand Am were involved in a collision on Highway 336.

A report of property damage was filed by a subject traveling North on I-95 in reference to another driver throwing something at his vehicle.

Ridgeland Investigators assisted Jasper County Detectives and SLED Agents at a residence on Malphrus Street in reference to a possible kidnapping incident.

A complaint regarding possible prostitution was filed by a tenant at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive.

A suspicious person was reported on McCormack Avenue.

An incorrigible juvenile was reported at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive.

An assault complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to a subject pointing a gun at another.

A report of illegal drug activity was reported at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street.

A trespassing complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue. No charges were filed.

A report of a stolen cell phone was filed by a resident on First Avenue.

NOVEMBER 5, 2013

An A/C unit was reported stolen from a vacant residence on Benson Lane.

Nathaniel Burrison was placed under arrest at the corner of West Main and North Jasper Street after Officers discovered him intoxicated and lying on the ground.

A television was reported stolen from a vacant room at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive. Burglary charges are pending review of the surveillance footage collected at the scene.

An assault was reported at the Ralph Tuten Memorial Park on James Taylor Drive. No charges were filed.

Two suspicious persons were reported to be looking inside mailboxes at residents on Wiley Street.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community. No charges were filed.

A Mercedes M320 was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Firas Saleh was found to be operating under a suspended Ohio driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to the registered owner.

The door of a vacant apartment at Baytree Apartment at 107 First Avenue was forced open by an unknown person.

A black Toyota Tacoma was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker. The driver of the vehicle was seen fleeing the area on foot prior to Police arrival. The vehicle was towed from the area by Elite Towing.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Chief Cornerstone Church at 107 Brabham Street.

A domestic dispute between two roommates was reported at a residence on Promise Way. No charges were filed.

NOVEMBER 4, 2013

Ridgeland Investigators responded to a burglary at the Ridgeland Post Office where someone broke in through a rear window to gain entry. Once on scene a second burglary was reported in the Natural Resources Conservation Services office which shares one side of the building with the US Postal Service at 7554 West Main Street.

A harassment complaint was filed at the Boat & RV World store at 401 Sycamore Drive in reference to an ex-employee causing a disturbance. No charges were filed.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Bank of Walterboro at 8058 East Main Street.

A possible break in was reported at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

A blue Pontiac Aztec was stopped for speeding on I-95 South where driver Steven Branch was found to be operating under a suspended Florida driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was turned over to the registered owner.

A robbery was reported in Carters Mill Estates in reference to a juvenile male being struck with a handgun and five dollars being taken from him in the walking trail connecting Carters Mill Estates and McCormack Street.

A report of a suspicious person was received by a resident at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to someone possibly entering his apartment without permission. No charges were filed.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Colony Drive in the Bees Creek Plantation Community.

Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center where a hold had been placed on inmate James Brantley Parks in reference to six outstanding warrants issued against him stemming from a vehicle pursuit on June 8, 2013. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

A trespassing complaint was filed at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street. No charges were filed.

A report of illegal drug activity was received in reference to a vehicle on Captain Bill Road at the Preacher Street intersection.

Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center where a hold had been placed on inmate Juan Arturo Gonzalez in reference to an outstanding warrant issued against him for malicious injury to property stemming from a domestic dispute on August 24, 2008 on Live Oak Farm Road. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center where an immigration hold was placed on him at the request of Immigration & Customs Enforcement..

NOVEMBER 2, 2013

Ridgeland Officers responded to a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community in reference to an assault that occurred on South Logan Street. Alphonza Greene was later placed under arrest by Jasper County Deputies on a separate offense and a warrant affidavit was filed against him by Ridgeland Officers for assault & battery 3rd at the Jasper County Detention Center.

A suspicious person was reported at Taylors BP Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute on Smiths Crossing in reference to an incident that occurred at a residence on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community. No charges were filed.

Rodney Wright was placed under arrest after he threw a brick through his sister’s car windshield during an argument at the Ridgeland Car Wash at 10577 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at R&M Small Engine Repair at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A silver Toyota Camry was stopped for speeding 104 mph on I-95 South where driver Henry Pinckney was found to be operating under the influence as well as having a suspended driver’s license. He was also found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol, a 380 caliber handgun as well as a quantity of marijuana and cocaine. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle. Upon arrival at the Detention Center Officers discovered that Pinckney was also listed as a wanted person in reference to two outstanding warrants with the Ridgeland Police Department and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, both for the offense of driving under suspension.

A Chevy Impala struck a parked Mercury Mountaineer in the parking lot at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street. No injuries were reported.

A report of property damage was filed at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive in reference to a vehicle’s paint being scratched.

Ridgeland Officers assisted South Carolina Highway Patrol at a collision on Old House Road at the Willis Drive intersection involving a Kia Optima and a Lincoln Town Car.

NOVEMBER 1, 2013

A Mercury Montero was stopped at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street for an equipment violation were driver Coy Jones was found to be listed as a wanted person by Dorchester County. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center where a hold was placed on him pending extradition to Dorchester as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

A disabled Volkswagen Jetta was vandalized on I-95 North at the exit 21 area. The owner was notified as the vehicle was towed from the area by Scott’s Automotive.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive.

A missing juvenile was reported at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive who was soon after located at a friend’s house on Smiths Crossing. No charges were filed.

A Georgia license plate was stolen from a parked vehicle behind the Harry Brown PC Office at 11169 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. The tag was placed on NCIC to be listed as stolen.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Wise Street where suspect Shane Kimrey was placed under arrest in the parking lot of the Jasper County Council on Aging and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.
