JULY 31, 2013

Officers responded to the Volvo Equipment Rentals building at 95 Bees Creek Road for an activated alarm.

A suspicious subject was reported on Woodlawn Street.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on First Avenue. No charges were filed.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at Schooner’s Bar & Grill at 10953 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A cell phone was reported stolen at a residence at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street. The victim later refused to pursue charges.

JULY 30, 2013

Officers responded to a residence at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street in reference to a domestic dispute that occurred the night before at which time the victim was transported by EMS personnel to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for injuries sustained during the incident. Upon further investigation and examination of evidence collected a warrant was obtained against Alphonza Greene for the charge of attempted murder.

State Farm Insurance at 10840 North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Ridgeland Family Dentistry at 10832 North Jacob Smart Boulevard both reported damage to the awnings covering the business entry doors.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on First Avenue. No charges were filed.

Brett Burnette was placed under arrest at the intersection of North Logan and East Wilson Street after Officers responded to the Handy Dan’s Gulf station at 8250 East Main Street where he was observed on video taking a Carolina Gamecocks coffee mug valued at $12.99 from the store without paying for it. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Dollar General store at 8123 East Main Street.

A domestic dispute was reported at the Department of Juvenile Justice Office at 1504 Grays Highway.

A large plant container at at Tuten Memorial Park at 80 Blue Heron Drive was struck by a silver Dodge Ram pickup where passenger Pedro Paniagua-Espinosa was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers responded to the Days Inn Motel at 8216 East Main Street in reference to a possible runaway involved in an assault that occurred at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street. The juvenile was returned home and no charges were filed.

Justin Snyder turned himself in to Ridgeland Officers in reference to an outstanding malicious injury to property warrant stemming from an incident that occurred on July 25, 2013. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

JULY 29, 2013

A blue Ford Crown Victoria was stopped just after midnight for driving without headlights and several moving violations at the intersection of Smith’s Crossing and Highway 17 where driver David Stofflet was found to be operating under the influence as well as having an open container of alcohol in his possession. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle. At approximately 3:30 pm, after bonding out of jail, Officers observed Stofflet drinking from a beer can as he drove North on Jacob Smart Boulevard where he was stopped at the Langford Street intersection. Stofflet was again placed under arrest for possession of an open container as well as driving under suspension 3rd offense stemming from his driver’s license being immediately suspended under the DUI charge. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle.

A red Chevy Impala was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where William General Jr. was found to be operating under a suspended New Jersey driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

A larceny report was filed at the Jasper’s Porch Restaurant at 152 James Taylor Drive in reference to food items being taken without permission. A warrant was later issued for Charles Murray, 38 of Ridgeland, for the charge of larceny.

Officers responded to a civil dispute regarding a disabled vehicle in the parking lot of the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Hunger Free Zone at 413 Grays Highway.

A black Fiat was involved in a single vehicle collision at the 21 mile marker on I-95 South where it struck the guard wire. No injuries were reported.

JULY 28, 2013

A black Cadillac was stopped for moving violations on Russell Street by the Gray’s Highway intersection where driver Arthur Green III was found to be operating under the influence as well as having an open container of alcohol in his possession. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Cleland’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

A suspicious person was reported at Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on Third Avenue.

A gold Dodge Stratus was stopped for speeding on Old House Road at the Sweet William intersection where driver Cassandra Heyward was found to be operating under a suspended driver’s license for failure to pay violations. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

JULY 27, 2013

A white Lexus LS400 was stopped for several moving violations in the parking lot of the Rite Aid store at 8225 East Main Street where driver Johnifer Haynes was found to be operating under the influence as well as having an open container of alcohol and a quantity of marijuana in his possession which he attempted to destroy during the traffic stop. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

A report of a Hispanic male exposing himself to a store clerk was filed at the Jalisco Tienda Tortilleria at 7790 West Main Street. The subject fled the scene as the clerk called 911.

A report of illegal drug activity was filed at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at Handy Dan’s Exxon at 8310 East Main Street.

Officers responded to a residence on Lydia’s Lane after receiving information that a wanted person was located inside. Arthur Joseph Fraleigh was found sleeping in the residence at which time he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to two outstanding assault warrants from January 17, 2013 and July 16, 2013.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at a residence on Grays Highway.

A suspicious event was reported at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive in reference to a subject who may have harmed himself. Officers checked the area and determined that there had been no such incident.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Bank of Walterboro at 8058 East Main Street.

A Honda mini van and Lexus ES350 were involved in a collision around the 21 mile marker on I-95 South. No injuries were reported.

A harassment report was filed by a resident at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue. No charges were filed.

A trespassing complaint was filed by the clerk at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive in reference to a subject who has been asked to leave the property multiple times. No charges were filed.

Officers responded to a civil dispute at a residence on West Adams Street.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Jasper County Council on Aging at 444 Wise Street.

JULY 26, 2013

A silver Ford Fusion was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where Darrell McCray was found to be operating under a suspended Florida driver’s license with several failure to pay violations. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. McCray’s passenger Michael Evans was issued a citation for allowing an unauthorized driver before being allowed to take custody of the vehicle at McCray’s request.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and West Main Street.

Someone attempted to steal a white 2001 Dodge mini van from the Jasper County Council on Aging at 444 Wise Street.

A suspicious person was reported knocking on doors on Second Avenue.

A silver Chevy Cobalt was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Wesley Weathers was placed under arrest for operating without a driver’s license and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Passenger Laura Hernandez was issued a citation for allowing an unauthorized driver and escorted off of the interstate as Eric’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle due to Hernandez’s Florida driver’s license being under suspension.

A suspicious person was reported at Taylor’s BP Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive.

Officers responded to a report of two people arguing at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive. No charges were filed.

Sharon Brown turned herself in to Ridgeland Officers at the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant stemming from a financial transaction card fraud charge on May 30, 2013.

A subject driving a blue Oldsmobile reported damage to her windshield allegedly caused by a rock from a dump truck as she traveled South on Nuna Rock Road. No charges were filed.

A resident on East Woodlawn reported receiving a suspicious telephone call from someone attempting to get their bank account number.

A male wearing a red shirt fled from a vehicle after it was stopped by Highway Patrol Officers at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street. Video footage of the stop is being reviewed.

JULY 25, 2013

Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Second Avenue where several items of personal property were found damaged in the front yard. Officers assisted with escorting the victim in moving her belongings from the residence and an arrest warrant was later issued against Justin Snyder, 36 of Ridgeland, charging him with malicious injury to personal property. He is currently out on bond stemming from a driving under the influence charge on June 28, 2013.

A 200 pound spool of copper wire valued at approximately $800 was stolen from the back of a work truck at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive.

A suspicious person was reported at Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.

Two subjects were reportedly arguing at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Captain Bill Road. No charges were filed.

A silver Ford F-150 was stopped for reckless driving at the intersection of Sweet William and Bees Creek Road where driver Michael Boudrieau was found to be operating under the influence. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. The vehicle was turned over to Boudrieau’s passenger at his request.

A report was filed of damage to a vehicle by a resident at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at Aussie Auto Body at 1010 West Adams Street.

A suspicious person was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive. Officers escorted the subject off the property.

JULY 24, 2013

A silver Chevy Malibu was involved in a single vehicle collision at the 22 mile marker on I-95 North. No injuries were reported.

A white Jeep Cherokee was stopped for an equipment violation at Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street where driver Shonte Jenkins was found to be listed as a wanted person by North Charleston Police for failure to appear in court stemming from a disorderly conduct charge. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center to await extradition as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.

An inmate at the Ridgeland Correctional Institution assaulted an on duty Correctional Officer who was transported to Hampton Regional Hospital for treatment.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at the intersection of Wellington Loop and Old House Road.

A burgundy Dodge Caravan was stopped for a moving violation at North Green Street by the Railroad Avenue intersection where driver Louis Diaz Jr. was found to be operating under a suspended driver’s license in addition to having no valid insurance coverage and a suspended tag. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Webster’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at H&H Furniture at 10706 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A suspicious person was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive.

Guy Matthews was placed under arrest at his residence on South Logan Street after a warrant was issued for his arrest charging him with Burglary 1st in reference to an incident that occurred on February 9, 2013 at a residence on East Adams Street. Matthews was also listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department after he failed to comply with a court order stemming from a property damage charge on January 17, 2013. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

A Volkswagen Jetta and a Dodge Caliber were involved in a collision on I-95 North at the exit 18 area. No injuries were reported.

A black Chevy Silverado was stopped for a moving violation at the intersection of Carter’s Mill Road and Main Street where driver Amado Gonzalez-Catana was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol as well as operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle.

JULY 23, 2013

A silver Audi Q7 was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Destanie Chappell was found to be operating under a suspended driver’s license in addition to having a small child in the vehicle with no child restraint. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was turned over to her father at her request.

A Playstation 3 gaming console and several games were stolen from a residence on Shadetree Street in Carters Mill Estates.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue where Christopher Singleton was placed under arrest for criminal domestic violence 2nd as the victim declined medical attention. Upon further investigation a loaded High Standard 22 caliber revolver was found in Singleton’s belongings which he is prohibited from possessing by Federal Law due to being a convicted felon. Singleton was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

A Cadillac was involved in a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Weathersbee and Brabham Streets where it became stuck in a drainage ditch. Cleland’s Towing removed the vehicle with no injuries or damage reported.

A silver Dodge Grand Caravan was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Adrianna Pendergrass was found to be operating under a suspended North Carolina driver’s license for several failure to appear in court offenses in addition to having no vehicle registration and failing to provide proof of insurance. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as her passenger Jeremy Brewton was issued a citation for allowing an unauthorized driver and allowed to take custody of the vehicle at Pendergrass’ request.

A suspicious person was reported at Brothers Tire Shop at 9797 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A gray Mazda 3 was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Kelly Carreiro, 26 of Waburn Massachusetts, was found to be in possession of a quantity of mairjuana which was seized as evidence as she was cited and assigned a court date.

A white Toyota Camry was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where passenger Anthony Love was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol. Driver Reginald Davis was cited for speeding as Love was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

A suspicious person was reported at the Jasper’s Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive.

A purple Dodge Grand Caravan was stopped for a moving violation on Highway 336 by the Great Swamp Road intersection where driver Tasha Newton was found to be operating under the influence. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

Residents at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street reported Warren Brown, 36 of Tillman SC, being on the property. Brown was placed on trespass notice for Logan Lane Apartments on July 3, 2013 after a harassment complaint was filed against him. He left the area prior to Police arrival.

A suspicious person was reported at the New Generations Active Day Senior Center at 8205 East Main Street.

Ridgeland Officers transported a female resident from Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville to The Light House Care Center in Conway SC for treatment.

JULY 22, 2013

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Honeycomb Lane in Bees Creek Plantation.

Approximately $300 was taken from The Computer Outlet at 10688 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

Officers responded to an assault at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive where a subject had reportedly been struck several times by two suspects who fled the scene prior to Police arrival. Warrant affidavits have been filed against Kelly and Terri Toomer for assault & battery 3rd in addition to Kelly Toomer’s already outstanding warrant for breech of trust stemming from an incident that occurred on December 20, 2012.

A suspicious person was reported at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive.

A silver Chevy Malibu was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Carl Melise was found to be in possession of an open container of beer. After further investigation a quantity of marijuana was recovered from passengers Dawn Melise and Carl Mangum. All subjects were cited and given a court date for each of their offenses.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Spay & Neuter Animal Clinic at 21 Getsinger Drive.

A domestic dispute was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street where the victim refused to pursue charges.

JULY 21, 2013

Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 313 Heron Crossing Road where a cell phone and Ford Taurus were reportedly taken without permission by one of the parties involved. The items were soon after recovered at the Forest Motel at 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard and returned to the rightful owner.

A black Hyundai Santa Fe was involved in a single vehicle collision around the 16 mile marker on I-95 North. Ridgeland Officers assisted until Highway Patrol arrival. No injuries were reported.

A suspicious vehicle causing a disturbance was reported at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive.

A white Ford Taurus was involved in a single vehicle collision at the Bees Creek Road intersection on Exit 18. No injuries were reported.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at Schooner’s Bar & Grill at 10953 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A loud music complaint was filed by a resident on Battery Pointe. No charges were filed.

JULY 20, 2013

Officers responded to a suspicious person at a residence on First Avenue who reportedly entered without permission.

A domestic dispute was reported at a residence on Tillman Road. Complainant failed to meet with Officers at the agreed location.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Benson Lane.

A loud music complaint was filed by a resident at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street. No charged were filed.

Two suspicious subjects were reported at the Ridgeland Family Medicine office at 109 South Green Street.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Spay & Neuter Animal Clinic at 21 Getsinger Drive.

A domestic dispute was reported at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. No charges were filed.

A disorderly subject was reported at the Quality Cleaners at 7709 West Main Street.

A white Hyundai Sonata was reportedly taken without permission at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue. No charges were filed.

Officers responded to an activated panic alarm at a residence on Firetower Road.

A Ford Taurus and a GMC Acadia were involved in a collision on I-95 South. No injuries were reported.

JULY 19, 2013

A 2010 Chevy Camaro was struck by a vehicle that left the scene without reporting the collision in the parking lot of Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street causing damage to the rear bumper. No injuries were reported.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Blue Heron Nature Center at 321 Bailey Lane.

A Chevy Malibu and a Cadillac sedan were involved in a collision in front of the Wendy’s Restaurant at 8480 Grahamville Road. No injuries were reported.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at R&M Small Engine Repair at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

Officers responded to a single vehicle collision at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue where a silver Dodge Charger was found in a drainage ditch. The driver fled the scene prior to Police arrival.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at C&C Millwork at 119 Industrial Park Road.

A black sedan was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North around the 16 mile marker. Ridgeland Officers arrived on scene to assist prior to Highway Patrol’s arrival.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at Ridgeland Family Dentistry at 10832 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A gray Cadillac and a black Hyundai Sport Utility were involved in a collision at the intersection of Jacob Smart Boulevard and Main Street. No injuries were reported.

JULY 18, 2013

Edward Garvin was captured on surveillance video shoplifting items from the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. The items were later recovered and a warrant affidavit was filed against Garvin for the offense.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute where Ricardo Badger and Earl Gant had been arguing which led to a fight. EMS personnel arrived on scene at which time both parties refused treatment and refused to press charges against one another.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Rite Aid store at 8225 East Main Street.

A silver Nissan Altima driven by Alec Scott was found stuck in the drainage ditch on North Logan Street behind Turpin Park. Scott was found to be under the influence of alcohol at which time he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

A chevy Trailblazer and a Kia Sport Utility were involved in a collision at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Third Avenue. No injuries were reported.

Nathaniel Burrison was found unresponsive with a strong odor of alcohol lying on the floor of the gazebo at the intersection of West Main Street and South Railroad Avenue. He was transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville by EMS for evaluation and treatment.

Officers responded to an open door at the former El Ranchito Restaurant at 11469 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

JULY 17, 2013

Officers responded to an activated alarm at R&M Small Engine Repair at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A suspicious vehicle was reported on Old House Road between Good Hope Plantation and Highway 462.

Officers responded to a residence on Sailfish Circle in Carter’s Mill Estates in reference to a subject attempting to gain entry without permission and throwing items. Once on scene the incident was determined to be a domestic dispute and Saul Cisneros-Hernandez, 30 of Ridgeland, was placed on trespass notice for the property. No charges were filed.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee struck a gold Ford Taurus in the parking lot of the Mental Health Clinic at 1510 Grays Highway. No injuries were reported.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Chief Cornerstone Church at 107 Brabham Street.

Several suspicious persons were reported in the wooded area between Sassy Scissors Boutique at 8205 East Main Street and the Blue Heron Nature Trail.

JULY 16, 2013

A Kawasaki Prairie 4 wheeler reported stolen from Beaufort County was recovered by Ridgeland Officers at the ATV Warehouse at 8167 East Main Street. The identification of the suspect was forwarded to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division as the vehicle was turned back over to the rightful owner.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Chief Cornerstone Church at 107 Brabham Street.

Officers responded to a traffic collision on I-95 North where Ernesto Gutierrez had been transporting a large grill on the back of a Chevy Silverado pickup which fell off of the bed of the truck and was then struck by a Mercury passenger car traveling behind him. A Buick passenger car was also forced off the roadway in order to avoid collision. Guttierrez was placed under arrest after Officers discovered that he was operating without a driver’s license and transported him to the Jasper County Detention Center. No injuries were reported.

A black iPhone and a charger were stolen from a maintenance building at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street. Evidence collected at the scene has been submitted to the Beaufort County Forensics Laboratory for analysis.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Benson Lane.

A Mitsubishi and a Nissan were involved in a collision on Grays Highway. No injuries were reported.

Officers responded to a suspicious subject at the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street. A subject was found on scene who was voluntarily transported by EMS to the Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Hunger Free Zone at 413 Grays Highway.

A child custody dispute on Sailfish Circle in Carter’s Mill Estates led to an assault on Saul Hernandez by Walter Lafler and Arthur J. Fraleigh who both fled the scene as Officers responded. Lafler was later arrested at the Ridgeland Police Department and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Warrants have been issued for Arthur Joseph Fraleigh in addition to his already outstanding assault warrant stemming from an incident on January 17, 2013.

JULY 15, 2013

A residence on Sailfish Circle in Carter’s Mill Estates was burglarized between Friday evening and Monday where several pieces of electronics were taken including 3 flat screen televisions, a Xbox gaming console and a Wii gaming console. Evidence collected at the scene has been submitted to the Beaufort County Forensics Laboratory for analysis.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Baptist Church at 1448 Grays Highway.

A property damage report was filed by a subject at the Jasper School District Office at 10942 North Jacob Smart where a tree limb reportedly fell on a vehicle.

Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center where inmate Steven Chaneyfield was being held in reference to an outstanding bench warrant from the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from a shoplifting incident that occurred on January 8, 2013.

A report of property damage was filed by a resident on Sailfish Circle in Carter’s Mill Estates where a porch had been reportedly damaged during a fight.

A domestic dispute was reported at the Days Inn Motel at 8216 East Main Street. No charges were filed.

JULY 14, 2013

Benjamin Washington, 47 of Ridgeland, took a white Chevy Avalanche without permission from Bridgett Bryant on Ellis Hodges Road. Washington then struck a blue GMC Envoy at the intersection of Ellis Hodges and Smith’s Crossing causing injury to the driver at which time he fled the scene returning to his residence where he attempted to hide the vehicle before fleeing on a bicycle. He was later brought back to the scene of the collision by a family member where he was cited for failure to yield right of way and leaving the scene of an accident with an attended vehicle. Both he and the driver of the Envoy were then transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for injuries sustained during the collision.

A property damage complaint was filed by a subject at the Piggly Wiggly grocery store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where a black Ford Ranger was reportedly struck by an unknown vehicle causing damage to the rear passenger side bumper and fender.

JULY 13, 2013

Officers responded to a shoplifting at the Star Point BP Station at 11122 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where John Gonzales was observed on surveillance video concealing a beer in his pants pocket and then leaving the store. Gonzales was soon after located at the Christ Central Mission at 11754 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at R&M Small Engine Repair at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Vigil Road in reference to a domestic dispute where Lee Brack Jr. was found to have an outstanding warrant against him from the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from a no driver’s license 2nd offense from April 7, 2012. Deputies placed him under arrest and transported him to the Jasper County Detention Center where Ridgeland Officers served him.

A report of telephone harassment was filed at the Jasper’s Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive. No charges were filed.

JULY 12, 2013

Officers responded to a welfare check at Boat & RV World at 401 Sycamore Drive where Mona Marie Scoggins, 57 of Hilton Head, was voluntarily transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for an evaluation.

Officers responded to the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 57 West Woodlawn Street in reference to a possible domestic dispute. No charges were filed.

A burgundy Mercury Grand Marquis was stopped for a revoked North Carolina tag at the Short Stop BP Station at 10785 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. Driver Rayvonne Donatte Wright, 25 of Savannah, was cited for no vehicle license, operating uninsured & no driver’s license as Eric’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Colony Drive in Bees Creek Plantation.

Ridgeland Officers assisted South Carolina Highway Patrol on a collision on I-95 South around the 16 mile marker where one person was airlifted to Savannah Memorial and another was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Ridgeland High School at 250 Jaguar Trail.

Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center where inmate Cody Winford Johnson was being held in reference to 2 outstanding warrants with the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from failure to comply with a court order on a DUI arrest from February 14, 2013 on South Jacob Smart Boulevard. He was transported back to the Jasper County Detention Center to begin his sentence.

JULY 11, 2013

A gray Nissan Altima was stopped for an equipment violation at the Shell Station parking lot at 8309 East Main Street where driver Robert Flono was found to be operating under a suspended driver’s license for failure to appear in court. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle.

An 18 foot diamond plated tow trailer was taken from Smith’s Body Shop at 533 South Green Street within the last two weeks.

A vehicle blocking the roadway was reported at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

An identity theft report was filed by a subject in Horry County regarding their personal information being used by a suspect in Ridgeland to obtain EMS services and medical exams..

Officers responded to an activated alarm at Schooner’s Bar & Grill at 10953 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where an open door was found. Two deposits were stolen from the Manager’s Office.

An illegally parked vehicle was reported on Owens Street which was moved by the owner.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at R&M Small Engine Repair at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A white Kia Optima was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where a K-9 alert revealed passenger Raul Carrasquillo Jr. to have marijuana in his possession. Upon further investigation an open container of alcohol was recovered which Carrasquillo stated belonged to him. He was cited for both violations.

JULY 9, 2013

Officers responded to an activated alarm at The Outpost at 10535 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A SCB&T bank deposit bag was removed from a green Buick parked in the parking lot of Taylor’s BP Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive. The suspects have been described as 3 black males in their early 20’s and video surveillance of the incident is being reviewed by Investigators.

A Toyota Scion was stopped at Taylor’s BP Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive after Officers received complaints that the driver was pointing a firearm at another driver on I-95 North. Driver Jonathan Williams was found to be in possession of a handgun as well as several open containers of alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

A white Ford Windstar van was stopped at a safety checkpoint being conducted at the intersection of Sycamore Drive and Smith’s Crossing where driver Arnol Cisneros was found to be operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

A report of vehicle damage was filed by a subject driving a Toyota Camry who stated that they struck something in the roadway on South Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute between a mother and daughter at a residence on Grays Highway. No charges were filed.

An assault complaint was filed at the Handy Dan’s Gulf Station at 8250 East Main street in reference to threatening messages being left on the victim’s voicemail. Warrant affidavits were filed against Felicia Robinson for unlawful use of telephone.

A burgundy Cadillac was stopped for a suspended vehicle license at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and East Smith street where driver Branden Dupont was found to be operating under under a beginner’s permit with no valid insurance coverage. After being placed under arrest he was found to be in possession of powder cocaine. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Al’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Volvo Equipment Rentals building at 95 Bees Creek Road.

A Volkswagen Beetle was stopped for speeding at the intersection of Tillman Road and Great Swamp where driver Michelle Gardner was found to be operating under the influence. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Little T’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

JULY 5, 2013

Officers responded to Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive in reference to reports of females fighting in the parking lot. After reviewing evidence and statements Shontay McKeithan was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers located juveniles riding ATV’s in the roadway on Honeycomb Lane inside of Bees Creek Plantation.

A report of illegal drug activity was reported on East Adams Street.

A report of 2 juvenile males possibly fighting was filed by a resident at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street.

A suspicious person was reported at Regions Bank at 11004 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A report of theft was received from a resident of Woodridge Apartments on South Logan Street in reference to money taken from him by an acquaintance while he was shopping at Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street. Larceny charges are pending against suspect Melissa Miller.

A suspicious vehicle was reported parked behind the Outpost at 10545 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Dean Bell Law Office at 87 Grays Highway.

A blue pickup towing a camper backed into a vehicle in the parking lot at Taylors BP Station at 80 Blue Heron Drive. No injuries were reported.

JULY 4, 2013

Kevin Warren was placed under arrest at a residence on Fifth Avenue following a traffic stop at Ned’s Pub & Grub on North Jacob Smart Boulevard which revealed evidence of a domestic dispute that had just occurred between him and his girlfriend. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Hargray Storage building at 100 South Railroad Avenue.

A blue Dodge Caravan was struck by the door of another vehicle in the parking lot of Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.

A white Chevy Sonic was stopped for speeding on I-95 North where driver Christian Kelly was found to be operating under a suspended North Carolina driver’s license for several failure to appear offenses. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Eric’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Palmetto Eye Specialists office at 10911 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

A suspicious person was reported at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street.

A theft complaint was filed by a resident on Mae Drive in the North Ridge Community. The victim refused to press charges.

A blue Mitsubishi Lancer was stopped for an equipment violation at the Shell Gas Station at 8309 East Main Street where driver Robin Germosen was found to be operating under a suspended Florida driver’s license for several failure to pay violations. Upon further investigation it was determined that the vehicle had no valid registration or insurance coverage at which time Germosen was placed under arrest and passenger Elaine Lamphier was issued a citation for allowing an unauthorized driver. Germosen was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

JULY 3, 2013

A silver Volkswagen Jetta was stopped for speeding on I-95 South where driver Alberto Baez was found to be operating under a suspended New Jersey driver’s license for failure to pay traffic citations. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Passenger Kristina Morales was issued a citation for allowing an unauthorized driver before being allowed to take the vehicle.

Tracy Rogers turned herself in to Ridgeland Officers at the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to an outstanding warrant issued on July 1st. She was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

A harassment complaint was filed by a resident at Logan Lane Apartments at 544 South Logan Street.

A blue Kia Sportage was stopped for speeding on I-95 South where driver Thaiza Sereijo was found to be operating without a valid driver’s license. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Passenger Brandon Hill was issued a citation for allowing an unauthorized driver before being allowed to take the vehicle.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at C&C Millwork at 119 Industrial Park Road.

A complaint was filed by a resident on Green Street in reference to receiving harassing phone calls stemming from a prior hit and run accident.

A White Lincoln struck a Chevy Impala parked at the Main Street Pharmacy at 7752 West Main Street. No injuries were reported.

JULY 2, 2013

Officers responded to a custody dispute at a residence on Live Oak Farm Road.

A white Ford Fiesta was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 North. Minor injuries were reported.

A blue Chevy pickup was stopped for an equipment violation on Grays Highway where driver Alphonso Cheever was found to be operating under a suspended driver’s license stemming from a prior DUI conviction. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.

Officers responded to an activated alarm at Kingdom Touch Ministries at 6714 Tillman Road.

A civil dispute was reported at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

Officers responded to the Boat & RV Store at 401 Sycamore Drive in reference to a hit and run accident. Upon further investigation it was determined that the incident occurred outside of the town limits. Highway Patrol was notified.

A suspicious person was reported in the water department drive thru at 1 Town Square.

JULY 1, 2013

A stolen Visa debit card was reported to have been used at several businesses throughout Ridgeland and Beaufort from June 28th through June 30th. Upon review of surveillance footage from several of those businesses a warrant was issued against Tracy Rogers, 31 of 228 Mitchelville Road, for the offense of financial transaction card fraud.

An attempted theft was reported by a resident on Old Logan Street.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Grays Highway. Upon arrival it was determined that one subject had struck the other with a vehicle during an argument. The victim refused to press charges.

A suspicious person was reported at the intersection of Owens Street and First Avenue.

A reckless driver in a white Nissan was reported at Schooner’s Bar & Grill at 10953 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

Officers responded to a complaint of trespassing at Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street. Tyeshia Clark was placed on trespass notice and ordered to leave the business at the Store Manager’s request.

Officers responded to a suspicious person lying in the roadway at the intersection of South Logan and East Adams Street.

A gray Mazda and a tractor trailer were involved in a collision on I-95 South where the driver of the Mazda was determined to have fallen asleep at the wheel and struck the rear of the tractor trailer. The Mazda then continued South after the collision and was soon after located in the truck parking area at the 17 mile marker. The driver was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.
