FEBRUARY 29, 2016

12:11 p.m. – A yellow Dodge Ram pickup and a Black Chevy Cobalt were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

12:16 p.m. – A civil dispute between a taxi driver and a customer was reported at the intersection of West Main and Russell Street in reference to an unpaid fair.

12:26 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 462 in reference to a white Chevy pickup.

3:13 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street after a female began following an employee and making accusations of tax fraud. The suspect left the business prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

5:35 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 30 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer hauling lumber.

6:29 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies at the Wendy’s Restaurant at 8480 Grahamville Road where Stanley James Grant, 54 of Yemassee SC, was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding misdemeanor failure to appear warrant.

6:36 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Palmetto Eye Specialists Office at 10911 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

10:52 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed by a passing motorist driving a silver GMC Canyon allegedly being followed by a black Ford Ranger pickup while traveling South on I-95.

FEBRUARY 28, 2016

4:32 a.m. – A black Toyota Camry was stopped for a failure to dim headlights violation on Old House Road at the Summer Hill intersection where driver Yasheka Ann Moultrie provided the Officer with a false South Carolina driver’s license in an effort to conceal her identity due to her driver’s license being under a state of suspension. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

10:26 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at a residence on East Adams Street after the homeowner witnessed a white Chevy Trailblazer striking a mailbox as well as a SCE&G utility pole by the roadway and then fleeing the area without reporting the collision. At 11:38 a.m. Officers observed a vehicle matching the given description with damage consistent with the area of collision pulling into the parking lot of the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street. After gathering evidence and statements Officers soon determined driver Michael Brandon Seabrooks to be the suspect responsible for the collision at which point he was placed under arrest. An inventory of the vehicle revealed a quantity of marijuana resulting in additional charges. Seabrooks was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to the registered owner by Elite Towing.

12:09 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the R&M Small Engine Repair Service at 11211 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

12:10 p.m. – A GMC sport utility vehicle and a Mazda passenger car were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive. No injuries were reported.

12:46 p.m. – A loitering complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to numerous subjects standing around in the parking lot area.

2:56 p.m. – Several individuals were reportedly entering a vacant apartment through a broken window at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue and removing items. The broken window stemmed from a previous incident.

3:27 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a silver Toyota Highlander.

8:40 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a Ford sport utility vehicle.

9:44 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a blue Ford pickup.

FEBRUARY 27, 2016

2:38 a.m. – A blue Chevy Silverado pickup towing a camper and a blue Freightliner tractor trailer were involved in a collision on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker. No injuries were reported.

10:48 a.m. – A suspicious black male was reported at the intersection of East Adams and South Logan Street.

11:15 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on East Wilson Street.

7:07 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after the locks were changed on a previous tenant’s door.

8:03 p.m. – A silver Mercedes passenger car was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker where driver Branden Augustus Washington was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol as well as being in possession of an open container of beer. A brief struggle ensued as Washington attempted to resist being taken into custody unsuccessfully. A check of his driving history revealed him to have a previous conviction for driving under the influence in 2013. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Hook Ups Towing took possession of the vehicle.

10:22 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed in the Bees Creek Plantation Community in reference to loud music coming from the Captain Bill Road area.

FEBRUARY 26, 2016

5:11 a.m. – Two suspicious vehicles were reported at the Citgo Station at 107 Sycamore Drive in reference to a white Chevy and a blue GMC.

7:26 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Bees Creek Road in reference to a white Ford operating in an aggressive manner at a school bus stop where children were present.

9:25 a.m. – A silver Toyota Camry was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker where driver Machelique Monay Lawrence, 26 of Ridgeland SC, was found to be operating with a suspended and expired South Carolina tag as well as being in possession of a quantity of marijuana. She was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

10:01 a.m. – A civil dispute was reported on Bees Creek Road in reference to an eviction process.

1:11 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a green Toyota Avalon.

1:18 p.m. – A larceny report was filed in reference to missing items from the Perry Storage Facility at 698 West Adams Street.

1:29 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 29 mile marker in reference to a red Lexus.

2:19 p.m. – Terrill Tomossio Stephens was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found highly intoxicated in a sleeping bag by the I-95 South entrance ramp at the exit 21 interchange.

3:13 p.m. – A blue Ford Ranger pickup and a gray Honda Civic were involved in a collision at the Jasper County Government Annex at 358 Third Avenue. No injuries were reported.

3:32 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a 41 year old female and her 19 year old niece was reported at a residence on Three Tee Circle in the North Ridge Community.

5:24 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at Fiddler’s Seafood Market at 572 South Green Street in reference to a white Dodge pickup.

6:56 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at the Wendy’s Restaurant at 8480 Grahamville Road in reference to a female subject’s tax return being deposited into the wrong South State Bank account by mistake after the complainant filed the incorrect account number on her tax form.

8:52 p.m. – A black Dodge Charger was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 16 mile marker where driver Devonte Marquise Fraiser was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.

9:57 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted in a wooded area behind The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after an open 911 line call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

10:05 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at a residence at Heron Crossing Apartments at 313 Heron Crossing Drive in reference to a black male knocking on the complainant’s door.

FEBRUARY 25, 2016

5:04 a.m. – Patrol Officers discovered an unsecured entry door at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at 7514 West Main Street. There were no signs of forced entry and no persons discovered inside. The building was then secured prior to the Officer’s departure.

9:42 a.m. – A female subject’s state identification card was found discarded at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

9:51 a.m. – A green Dodge Ram pickup and a tan Chrysler mini van were involved in a collision at the intersection of Main Street and Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

11:09 a.m. – A large metal cage was reported lying in the roadway on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker. The debris was removed from the lane of travel by responding Officers.

11:22 a.m. – A property damage complaint was filed at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive after several areas of wall were discovered damaged in a recently vacated room. The former tenant was contacted and agreed to reimburse the business by March 1st in order to avoid criminal charges.

11:28 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Benson Lane.

11:58 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 36 mile marker in reference to a dark gray or black Chevy passenger car with an orange stripe.

12:31 p.m. – A report of a Hispanic male exposing himself to a female resident outside of her home and then fleeing the area on foot was filed on Oakridge South in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community. Officers soon discovered suspect Daniel Organis inside of his home where he was ultimately placed under arrest. A brief struggle ensued as Organis attempted to resist being taken into custody without success resulting in an additional charge before being transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

2:17 p.m. – An abandoned silver 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser was removed from the I-95 Northbound truck parking area at the 17 mile marker by A-1 Towing after being left unattended since Monday February 22nd.

5:09 p.m. – A Dodge pickup and a Chrysler mini van were involved in a collision on I-95 North around the 20 mile marker. Both vehicles left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

6:48 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported traveling from Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street to the North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Captain Bill Road intersection in reference to the driver of a black Dodge Neon attempting to evade repossession of their vehicle.

9:40 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a compact passenger car traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

10:40 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker in reference to a dark colored Dodge Durango.

11:07 p.m. – A white Hyundai Sonata was stopped for a tag light violation on North Jacob Smart Boulevard at the Malphrus Street intersection where driver Tonyia Gail McCarthy was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol as well as being in possession of an open container. Further investigation revealed a previous conviction for driving under the influence appearing on her record from 2011. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

FEBRUARY 24, 2016

12:59 a.m. – Dishan Ishmael Hamilton was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found walking on Sycamore Drive highly intoxicated as well as being in possession of an open container of beer.

6:32 a.m. – A suspicious white male was reported at the intersection of North Jacob Smart Boulevard and Highway 278.

9:13 a.m. – A suspicious black pickup was reported on Bailey Lane.

9:17 a.m. – John Delacey Smith was placed under arrest at the Ridgeland Police Department at 11323 North Jacob Smart Boulevard and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant. Delacey’s charges stemmed from a February 22nd 2016 theft at the Pizza Hut Carryout at 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where he was captured on surveillance video stealing a tip jar from the front counter containing an undisclosed amount of cash.

9:22 a.m. – A gray Hyundai Sonata was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker where driver Jacquelyn Cannon, 49 of Dania FL, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. She was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

11:19 a.m. – Basil Jerome Collinsdean was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center from his home on East Main Street after a verbal dispute with his 36 year old male roommate resulted in Collinsdean striking the victim.

11:28 a.m. – Several 8 volt batteries were reportedly stolen from the King of Carts Store at 10750 South Jacob Smart Boulevard sometime between Monday night and Wednesday morning.

11:52 a.m. – Emil Lee Lawson turned himself in to Officers at the Ridgeland Police Department at 11323 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to an outstanding warrant. Lawson’s charges stemmed from a February 15th 2016 shoplifting incident at the Shell Station at 8309 East Main Street where he and his wife Betsy Laine Lawson, (arrested February 19th), were captured on surveillance video stealing store items.

1:25 p.m. – A suspicious Hispanic male was reported on North Railroad Avenue.

3:00 p.m. – A silver passenger car was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker where driver Michael Douglas Tyson, 24 of Boca Raton FL, and passenger Natalee Jennevia Fogarty, 25 of Lake Worth FL, were both found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. Further investigation revealed Fogarty to be in possession of an open container of beer resulting in an additional charge. Both suspects were cited and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

3:26 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 15 mile marker in reference to a U-Haul rental truck.

4:33 p.m. – A suspicious white male was reported at the 21 Center at 8120 East Main Street.

5:20 p.m. – A group of juveniles were reportedly knocking on tenants’ doors and then running from the area at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

10:29 p.m. – A disturbance was reported at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive in reference to a dispute between 2 females and a male in the parking lot.

FEBRUARY 23, 2016

6:02 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street in reference to a white male being on the property for several hours.

6:47 a.m. – A trespassing was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to a male acquaintance of the complainant refusing to leave the home when told. The suspect left the area of his own accord prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

8:07 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 in reference to a gray Nissan Juke traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

8:56 a.m. – Sakina Johnson Ferguson was placed under arrest at her job at the Burger King Restaurant at 8257 East Main Street and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Ferguson’s charges stemmed from a December 11th 2014 larceny where she stole several appliances from a home on East Adams Street after being evicted.

1:28 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 23 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.

1:48 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

2:46 p.m. – A suspicious male was reported at the Main Street Hair Design Salon at 8120 East Main Street.

4:23 p.m. – A white Ford delivery van and a silver Nissan Altima were involved in a collision in front of the Main Street Pharmacy at 7752 West Main Street. No injuries were reported.

4:26 p.m. – An intoxicated black male was reported at the Pink Zebra at 10688 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

7:40 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street in reference to unwanted telephone calls.

7:43 p.m. – A black wallet containing an iPhone 4 and several pieces of personal identification was reported stolen from the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

8:30 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the All Print Custom Tees Shop at 10876 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a maroon van.

8:35 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker in reference to a tractor trailer.

9:17 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a brown Nissan Maxima.

FEBRUARY 22, 2016

3:13 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the Bee Creek Plantation Community in reference to a silver Hyundai.

8:34 a.m. – A verbal dispute between two employees at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road ended with Jawanna Amber Goodwin, 32 of Ridgeland SC, being terminated from employment. Officers responded to the business in reference to a request by Management for a trespass notice to be served prohibiting her from entering onto the business property.

9:10 a.m. – A forgery of a stolen check was reported at the South State Bank at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a 26 year old male attempted to cash a check bearing a false signature on his Mother’s account without permission or authority. The victim declined pursuing charges.

9:37 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Eleanor Avenue.

10:40 a.m. – A blue Honda Civic was stopped for a suspended tag violation in front of the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road where driver Brandi Rose Casas, 40 of Ridgeland SC, was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license. She was cited for the offenses prior to leaving the area as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle.

12:37 p.m. – A black male was reportedly standing in front of the Main Street Pharmacy at 7752 West Main Street asking customers and passers by for money.

1:14 p.m. – A harassment complaint involving two neighboring households was filed at Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive.

1:38 p.m. – A red GMC Sierra was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker where driver John Rourke, 19 of Hampton Falls NH, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana and alcohol. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

2:11 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the truck parking area on I-95 North around the 17 mile marker in reference to a silver Chrysler PT Cruiser.

3:28 p.m. – A white Dodge Charger was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker where passenger Sashan Ariel McLean was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana as well as an open container of liquor. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the driver was cited for the speeding violation before leaving the area.

8:53 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a domestic dispute at a residence on Scarlett Ibis Drive. A 25 year old male was ultimately voluntarily transported by Deputies to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation.

9:10 p.m. – A larceny was reported at the Pizza Hut Carryout at 10856 North Jacob Smart Boulevard after a black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt stole a tip jar containing an undisclosed amount of cash from the front counter and then fled the store getting into a dark colored Ford pickup heading North. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges. FEBRUARY 21, 2016

1:37 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies at Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to service of two outstanding warrants against Tyrone Aiken Jr., 26 of Hardeeville SC, who had been spotted inside. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center without incident. Aiken’s charges stemmed from an October 8th 2015 incident at the same location when Deputies responding to a suspicious vehicle parked behind the business found Aiken to be in possession of a Glock 9mm handgun reported stolen out of Savannah GA as well as a quantity of marijuana and schedule IV narcotics. He later failed to appear in Jasper County Magistrate’s Court to answer to the marijuana charge resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest. A separate unrelated warrant was also served in reference to a failure to appear violation on a previous driving under suspension charge.

4:00 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the intersection of West Main Street and North Railroad Avenue.

4:12 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Honeycomb Court in the Bees Creek Plantation Community.

6:01 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street.

11:07 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Physical Therapy Office at 10616 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

12:46 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 31 mile marker in reference to a black Infiniti passenger car.

1:10 p.m. – An elderly stray dog was reported at a residence on North Jacob Smart Boulevard at the Captain Bill Road intersection.

1:27 p.m. – A disorderly resident was reported at the Jasper County Board of Disabilities on First Avenue.

1:45 p.m. – A property damage report was filed at a residence on Three Tee Circle in the North Ridge Community in reference to an entry door.

1:51 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a white tractor trailer.

2:08 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 31 mile marker in reference to a black Nissan Frontier.

4:30 p.m. – Officers responded to a domestic dispute between 2 brothers at a residence in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community. Upon arrival Gabriel Guerra was found striking his 19 year old brother with a candle holder inside of the home. He then exited and began shouting profanities and threatening to kill his brother at which point he attempted to resist the Officer placing him under arrest. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center under the charge of public disorderly conduct as the victim refused to pursue assault charges. The incident is said to have stemmed from the brothers being members of rival gangs.

5:25 p.m. – Two black passenger cars were reportedly racing one another on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker.

5:48 p.m. – A red and black International tractor trailer was reported traveling South on I-95 around the 22 mile marker with a shredded rear tire.

FEBRUARY 20, 2016

4:02 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies in responding to a report of a large fight in progress involving numerous patrons at Club Pluto at 8812 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. All suspects left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

4:03 a.m. – A suspicious male was reported at Regions Bank at 11004 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

4:50 a.m. – Several males were reportedly arguing and possibly fighting in the parking lot of the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street.

8:41 a.m. – A white Kia passenger car was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker where driver Andrew Maragh, 47 of Port St. Lucie FL, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offense and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

9:14 a.m. – A suspicious black female was reported at Woodridge Apartments at 414 South Logan Street. The victim refused to cooperate with Dispatchers attempting to gather information.

9:27 a.m. – A reciprocating saw was reportedly stolen from a residence on East Adams Street after being left overnight in the bed of a pickup.

9:40 a.m. – A blue Mongoose bicycle was stolen from the front lawn of a residence on Sailfish Circle in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

1:46 p.m. – A white Ford E350 van and a blue Ford Focus were involved in a collision in the 21 Center parking lot on East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

2:39 p.m. – A strong arm robbery was reported in the parking lot of the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after Henry Shawn Spann forcibly took an undisclosed amount of cash from the male victim after he refused to give him money. Spann then fled the area heading East on Adams Street towards South Logan but was spotted by responding Officers a short time later returning to the scene where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

3:40 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Baptist Church at 1448 Grays Highway.

7:20 p.m. – A blue Chevy Trailblazer was involved in a single vehicle collision in front of the Gulf station at 8250 East Main Street after the driver lost control and struck a tree. No injuries were reported.

8:15 p.m. – A disturbance was reported at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street in reference to a male tenant arguing with staff members. Upon arrival Alvian Jesus Alvira was found standing in the front lobby highly intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

8:39 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed in reference to loud music coming from church services on West Main Street.

10:26 p.m. – A gold Toyota Tundra was stopped for speeding on Highway 462 around the Knowles Island Road intersection where driver James E. Chisholm Jr. was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol as well as being in possession of 2 bottles of liquor with cracked seals and 1 open container. He was placed under arrest for the charges at which point he was also found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine resulting in an additional charge. He was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Scott’s Automotive took possession of the vehicle.

10:53 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at the Subway Restaurant at 8234 East Main Street in reference to a group of several black males refusing to leave the business property during closing. All suspects departed the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

FEBRUARY 19, 2016

1:07 a.m. – A welfare check was requested after a pregnant 33 year old female failed to return home to her residence on East Main Street after visiting friends at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

4:39 a.m. – A silver Kia Optima was involved in a collision on I-95 North around the 21 mile marker after the driver fell asleep behind the wheel and struck the rear of a tractor trailer which continued traveling North as the Kia left the roadway and struck the center median guard wire. No injuries were reported.

7:44 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

9:10 a.m. – An 18 year old Hispanic male inmate was transported from the Jasper County Detention Center to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation after a pick up order was issued by the Jasper County Probate Office.

4:45 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted on Promise Way after a group of children from Baytree Apartments crossed the fence line to play by a small pond.

5:10 p.m. – A tan Mazda 626 and a black Chrysler Town & Country mini van were involved in a collision on Captain Bill Road around between the Preacher Street and Firefly intersections. Both drivers were transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville.

6:31 p.m. – Betsy Laine Lawson was placed under arrest in the parking lot of the Shell Station at 8309 East Main Street and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Lawson’s charges stemmed from a February 15th 2016 shoplifting incident at the same business where she and her husband Emil Lee Lawson, 36, were captured on surveillance video stealing store items resulting in warrants being issued against both. Upon arrival at the detention center a trespass notice was served against her prohibiting her from returning to the Shell business property at Management’s request as Little T’s Towing took possession of her vehicle. 9:11 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker in reference to a green tractor trailer.

FEBRUARY 18, 2016

12:31 a.m. – A silver Chevy Trailblazer was involved in a single vehicle collision on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker after the driver left the roadway and then over corrected resulting in the vehicle overturning. The 49 year old driver was ejected and ultimately flown by Lifestar to Savannah Memorial Hospital as the 29 year old passenger was extricated after becoming entrapped in the wreckage and later transported by EMS to Savannah. An open bottle of liquor was found inside of the vehicle prior to being removed from the area by J&M Towing.

5:16 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female was reported at the Carolina Lodge Motel at 8260 East Main Street.

7:13 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a silver Mitsubishi driven by a white male who allegedly ran from the vehicle to the rear fence line of the Jasper County Detention Center.

9:03 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a Mother and her 18 year old son was reported at a residence on Oakridge South in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community.

10:46 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at the Forest Motel at 10504 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a tenant breaking a mirror and two lamps belonging to the motel. Both parties agreed to resolve the matter themselves pending restitution made by the tenant.

11:42 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted on a 24 year old white female at the Jasper County DSS Office at 10908 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. She was ultimately turned over to Jasper County Deputies to be transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation after a pick up order was issued by the Jasper County Probate Office.

1:41 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 31 mile marker in reference to a red passenger car.

1:59 p.m. – Roy Keith Watkins was placed under arrest at the intersection of West Adams and South Logan Street and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after Patrol Officers responding to reports of a white male stumbling in the roadway determined him to be grossly intoxicated.

2:54 p.m. – Romoan Elliot Chester was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department after Patrol Officers discovered him on the property of Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue. Chester’s charges stemmed from a January 27th 2016 shoplifting incident at the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street where he was captured on surveillance video stealing store items before fleeing the area on foot when confronted by employees. A trespass notice has also been issued prohibiting from returning to the property of Baytree Apartments at Management’s request.

3:49 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was filed at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a male subject in the parking lot.

4:11 p.m. – Gabriel Guerra was spotted stumbling several times on and off of the sidewalk in front of the Jasper County Courthouse at 265 Russell Street where Officers determined him to be intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

4:23 p.m. – A male subject wearing an orange hoodie and allegedly armed with a handgun was reported at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street.

6:11 p.m. – A harassment report was filed by a female complainant at the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a female acquaintance following her in her vehicle on East Main Street.

6:33 p.m. – Three female family members were reportedly involved in a fight in the parking lot of Heron Crossing Apartments at 313 Heron Crossing Drive. All subjects left the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival.

7:41 p.m. – A 20 year old female was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville after suffering an asthma attack during a dispute with her boyfriend in the parking lot of the KFC Restaurant at 8146 East Main Street.

9:25 p.m. – A civil dispute was reported at the Jalisco Tienda Tortilleria at 7790 West Main Street in reference to an ongoing issue regarding a parking area.

12:28 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Jaspers Porch Restaurant at 153 James Taylor Drive in reference to a red Pontiac.

5:12 a.m. – A gray Mazda 3 was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 23 mile marker where passenger Miguel Polanco-Melendez, 24 of Boston MA, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offense and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

8:52 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Beaufort County Detention Center at 100 Ribaut Road in Beaufort where inmate Marquis Dejour Griffin was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued against him by the Ridgeland Police Department. Griffin’s charges stemmed from a January 6th 2016 shoplifting incident at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street where he was captured on surveillance video stealing store items.

5:44 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Augusta Avenue.

7:54 p.m. – Patrol Officers spotted Kevon Trevon Williams Jr., 19 of Ridgeland SC, in a white Ford Mustang in the parking lot of the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. He is listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department in reference to a December 11th 2015 shoplifting incident at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street where he and two other black males were captured on surveillance video stealing store items. The Officer approached and advised him that he was under arrest at which time Williams immediately turned and fled on foot running East on Adams Street towards South Logan with a second black male who was inside of the vehicle with him fleeing in the same direction. An inventory of the vehicle prior to being turned over to Blatchley’s Towing revealed a Hi Point 380 handgun as well as a loaded Kel-Tec 380 which was reported stolen to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office on August 28th 2015 during a vehicle break in at R&K Repairs in Hardeeville. Three warrant affidavits have been filed against Williams in addition to his already outstanding shoplifting warrant under the charges of resisting arrest, unlawful carry of a handgun & possession of a stolen handgun.

9:57 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 17 at the exit 18 interchange in reference to a black Lexus traveling North.

12:34 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at Heron Crossing Apartments at 72 Heron Crossing Drive.

12:52 a.m. – A disturbance was reported at Devonwood Apartments at 137 Captain Bill Road after a tenant was awakened to unknown items being thrown at their residence.

5:31 a.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a husband and wife was reported at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street.

8:07 a.m. – A black Chevy pickup reportedly struck a window awning at the Waffle House Restaurant at 8185 East Main Street. No damage was reported.

1:49 p.m. – A gray Nissan Altima was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 17 mile marker where driver David Bautista was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license with a prior conviction for driving under suspension appearing on his record. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to the registered owner.

3:57 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a red Mitsubishi Lancer.

4:51 p.m. – A civil dispute regarding a boat being parked in the roadway was filed by a resident on Third Avenue.

6:12 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on Highway 17 in reference to a black Chevy passenger car traveling North between Hardeeville and Ridgeland.

FEBRUARY 15, 2016

7:46 a.m. – A black Ford Mustang was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker where driver Luis Leyva-Cornelio was found to be operating without a driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

9:20 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at Aussie Auto Body at 1010 West Adams Street after an employee arriving for work discovered several vehicles in the storage area behind the business with broken windows.

9:36 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

10:47 a.m. – A shoplifting was reported at the Shell Station at 8309 East Main Street after a white male and a white female were captured on surveillance video stealing store items. The subjects left the business driving a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse prior to Law Enforcement arrival. 11:18 a.m. – A stray white dog was reported in the parking lot of the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

1:12 p.m. – Nathaniel Burrison was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being found standing by the roadway intoxicated and attempting to flag down passing motorists by walking out into the lane of travel at the corner of West Main and North Jasper Street. A check of his information also revealed him to be listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department stemming from an October 27th 2015 incident at the same intersection where he was arrested and charged after being found lying by the roadway intoxicated with an open container of alcohol in his possession. He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court to answer to the charges on November 30th where he was found guilty during a trial in absence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

6:30 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a female and her nephew was reported at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

7:10 p.m. – A complaint was filed in reference to passengers in a Ford passenger car igniting fireworks and throwing them onto the roadway while traveling South on I-95 around the 30 mile marker.

8:16 p.m. – Patrol Officers spotted a suspicious white female and a black male attempting to hide behind a group of trees on the property of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 696 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. As the Officer approached the pair the male subject fled the area on foot. The female was identified as a 13 year old juvenile and was returned to the custody of her Mother without incident.

10:14 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 11 mile marker in reference to a silver tractor trailer.

11:06 p.m. – An assault was reported on East Wilson Street at the Blue Heron Nature Trail intersection after a black male in a white Chevy Impala allegedly fired two shots from a handgun at the male victim. The incident is said to have occurred approximately 45 minutes prior to being reported.

FEBRUARY 14, 2016

3:11 a.m. – Patrol Officers discovered an open door on a vacant commercial building on South Green Street. No persons were found inside and there were no signs of forced entry.

3:28 a.m. – A gold Chevy Impala was stopped at the intersection of South Jacob Smart Boulevard and East Main Street after the driver exited the vehicle while parked in a lane of travel and began shouting at the passengers inside. While speaking with the occupants Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle at which time all were ordered to exit. Back seat passenger Andre Lamar Devore immediately fled the area on foot upon exiting the vehicle resulting in all remaining suspects being detained without further incident. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of marijuana, open containers of alcohol and one Alprazolam tablet resulting in driver Shakenya Geneva Williams, passenger Jasmine Felise Davis and passenger Daquan Dupont all being placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Three warrant affidavits were filed against Andre Devore as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle.

9:25 a.m. – A gold Honda Accord was stopped for speeding as well as having a shattered windshield on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker where driver Evelin Yamleth Barron, 21 of Wilmington NC, was found to be operating with no valid insurance coverage as well as displaying a suspended North Carolina tag. She was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area as Eric’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

12:10 p.m. – Catina Latrelle Aiken was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street in violation of local statutes as well as a trespass notice served in August of 2015 prohibiting her from entering the business property. She was placed under arrest at which time she immediately began shouting profanities and threatening the life of arresting Officers. Upon arrival at the Jasper County Detention Center she appeared in front of a Municipal Judge in order to determine her bond at which time she threatened her life before being returned to her cell resulting in additional charges.

12:27 p.m. – Andre Lamar Devore turned himself in to Ridgeland Officers at the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to outstanding warrants issued against him after fleeing a traffic stop at 3:28 a.m. on today’s date.

1:42 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South in reference to a gold Chevy passenger car involved in a hit and run incident at the 71 mile marker.

2:28 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies during a traffic stop of a blue Nissan Altima on Beach Street after an alert was issued regarding one of the vehicle occupants brandishing a handgun during a dispute at a residence on Fordville Road. During the course of the investigation Deputies discovered evidence of a domestic dispute between a male and female inside of the vehicle resulting in Tyshawna Nicole Payne, 17 of Ridgeland SC, being placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence 3rd.

FEBRUARY 13, 2016

12:49 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Malphrus Street in reference to a white pickup.

12:53 a.m. – A black male was reportedly sleeping in the restroom at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 8548 Grahamville Road.

4:41 a.m. – A blue Nissan Sentra suffered a flat tire on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker after allegedly striking an unknown piece of debris in the roadway.

9:44 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 32 mile marker in reference to a red tractor trailer.

11:00 a.m. – A financial transaction card fraud was reported at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street after the complainant discovered an unauthorized transaction on her bank statement at that location. The victim’s purse containing the card in question was reported stolen to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office on February 12th on Saint Helena Island. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

12:00 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Captain Bill Road at the Preacher Street intersection in reference to a Ford Mustang.

12:07 p.m. – A black female was reportedly asking customers and passers by for money in the parking lot of the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

2:14 p.m. – A property damage complaint was filed at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a verbal dispute between a 22 year old black female and a 21 year old black male ending with the male allegedly puncturing the tires of the female’s vehicle. The female complainant refused to cooperate with responding Officers attempting to gather information.

4:09 p.m. – A hit and run was reported at the Grayco Building Supply Center at 119 Industrial Park Road after the owner of a black Chevy Corvette returned to his legally parked vehicle to find it had been struck by an unknown vehicle. A review of surveillance footage revealed the individual pictured below backing into the victim’s vehicle while driving a Chevy pickup. The male driver then exited his vehicle and surveyed the damage before fleeing the area without reporting the collision. 2:11 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 38 mile marker in reference to a gray Dodge Charger.

8:35 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.

9:59 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker in reference to a silver tractor trailer.

1:34 p.m. – A white Ford Fusion was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker where driver Daniel L. Ingram, 20 of University Park IL, was found to be operating with no valid insurance coverage as well as displaying a suspended Illinois tag. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.

1:55 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 around the 12 mile marker in reference to a gray passenger car.

2:09 p.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to Brickyard Road in Hardeeville where HPD Officers had detained Shonieque Quinderria Holmes during a traffic stop after discovering she was listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department. She was turned over to their custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued against her following a January 21st 2016 assault at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue where she struck another female during a dispute.

4:06 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 21 mile marker in reference to a gray Suzuki SUV.

4:43 p.m. – A blue BMX style bicycle was reportedly stolen from the front porch of a residence on Second Avenue.

6:47 p.m. – Officers responded to the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to an assault after inmate Kent Wayne Johnson refused to return to his cell when ordered and struck a Detention Officer in the face. After collecting evidence and statements Johnson was ultimately charged with assault & battery 3rd. He is currently being housed at the detention center in reference to a September 29th 2015 burglary at a residence on Rice Shire Road where he kicked in the front door of the home while armed with a knife in each hand and assaulted the family members inside. He was then struck with a chair by one of the male victims forcing him to flee on foot into a nearby wooded area where was soon after located by responding Deputies and taken into custody.

7:47 p.m. – Two suspicious black males were reportedly lying on the side of the roadway on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker.

8:12 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Church of Christ at 112 East Wilson Street.

8:38 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue after an open line 911 call was received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

10:19 p.m. – A reckless driver report was filed on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker in reference to a Ford Explorer and a Honda Civic.

10:40 p.m. – A verbal domestic dispute between a 55 year old female tenant and her 13 year old daughter was reported at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street.

3:18 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Subway Restaurant at 8234 East Main Street in reference to a black Hyundai.

8:23 a.m. – A property damage report was filed at a residence on Bailey Lane after a pickup towing a trailer struck an electrical box on the homeowner’s lawn.

12:36 p.m. – A 2 year old male was retrieved by a local resident after being spotted walking in the roadway on Grays Highway around the Newlin Street intersection. The child was turned over to Law Enforcement and ultimately returned to his Father at the Ridgeland Police Department.

1:49 p.m. – A black Jeep Patriot was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker where driver John Wesley Mitchell III, 40 of Mt. Pleasant SC, was unable to provide proof of valid insurance coverage on the vehicle he was operating. A further check of the vehicle information revealed the South Carolina tag displayed to be suspended for a cancellation of insurance violation. Mitchell was cited for operating uninsured and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

5:46 p.m. – A female was reportedly operating a gray Ford Explorer on East Main Street with an infant in the front seat.

11:13 p.m. – A civil complaint was filed at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to an abandoned burgundy van.

11:26 p.m. – A stray Rottweiler was reported at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue. Responding Officers transported the animal to the Jasper Animal Rescue Mission at 1352 Carters Mill Road, (843-726-7799).

2:49 a.m. – A disturbance was reported at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a tenant having a verbal dispute with his nephew. The caller refused to cooperate with 911 Dispatchers attempting to gather information.

8:53 a.m. – A Ford passenger car was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 19 mile marker where driver Jeffrey Filia, 54 of Sunrise FL, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

10:18 a.m. – A Chrysler 200 was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker where passenger Muhammad Aboul Malikas-Salar, 35 of Newcastle DE, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

11:26 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers assisted Jasper County Deputies at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue where Breona Symone Johnson, 20 of Ridgeland SC, was taken into custody in reference to 2 outstanding breach of trust warrants issued by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. Johnson’s charges stemmed from a February 8th report filed at the Hardeeville Wal-Mart at 232 Nickel Plate Road where a routine review of surveillance footage revealed her removing several hundred dollars from 2 registers during her shift as a cashier on February 5th and 6th.

11:49 a.m. – A disturbance was reported at the South State Bank branch at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a 43 year old black male resident of the Ridgeland Weekly Rentals being inside of the lobby shouting. Responding Officers transported the subject to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for a mental status evaluation. At 3:07 p.m. he was transferred to Beaufort Memorial Hospital after a committal order was issued by the Jasper County Probate Office.

12:26 p.m. – A moped was stopped for numerous moving violations in the KFC parking lot at 8146 East Main Street where driver Joey Paul Freitag was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol as well as under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

1:08 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a black female tenant from The Siesta Motel began shouting at the complainant in a threatening manner.

2:10 p.m. – A white Chevy Malibu was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 23 mile marker where driver Amanda Ashley Gates was found to be operating under a suspended New York driver’s license. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as the vehicle was released to a licensed passenger with Gates’ permission.

6:33 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female with a child in common occurred at the Sunoco Station at 11965 North Jacob Smart Boulevard ending with the male striking the female in the face before leaving the area in a white Ford Expedition. A warrant affidavit has been filed against Troy O’Neil Esaw, 45 of Tillman SC, charging him with domestic violence 3rd.

9:18 p.m. – A black Volvo passenger car was stopped for a defective headlight violation at the intersection of East Main and Brabham Street where passenger Matthew James Dara was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. 9:49 p.m. – A report of several gunshots being fired was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

11:09 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Harry Brown Law Office at 11169 North Jacob Smart Boulevard.

11:12 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to several subjects shouting in the parking lot area.

11:52 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 8225 East Main Street.

FEBRUARY 9, 2016

3:16 a.m. – A moped was reportedly being operated on I-95 South around the 30 mile marker.

11:10 a.m. – A male subject was reportedly lying beside the roadway on South Jacob Smart Boulevard at the Smith’s Crossing intersection.

11:26 a.m. – A financial transaction card fraud report was filed at the Ridgeland Police Department after the complainant discovered two unauthorized transactions on their South State Bank debit card that occurred on Sunday February 7th at the Dollar General Store at 8123 East Main Street and a third at the Harvey’s Grocery Store at 8205 East Main Street. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

11:34 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 16 mile marker in reference to a blue Hyundai Elantra.

11:54 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted on a black male crawling by the roadway on East Main Street at the I-95 interchange. The subject was voluntarily transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation.

9:02 p.m. – Two suspicious males were reported behind the Golden Triangle Repair Office at 106 West Langford Street.

10:22 p.m. – A noise complaint was filed at The Siesta Motel at 10530 South Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a black female tenant shouting and playing loud music in the parking lot area.

FEBRUARY 8, 2016

2:12 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at Little T’s Towing at 11577 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a silver passenger car.

9:39 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at a residence at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to alleged child neglect.

10:50 a.m. – A Chevy Caprice and a white pickup were involved in a collision at the South State Bank at 10671 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

11:00 a.m. – Brandon O’Neal Mulligan was placed under arrest at the Ridgeland Municipal Courtroom at 1 Town Square and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in reference to an outstanding warrant issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Mulligan’s charges stemmed from a February 3rd 2016 domestic dispute at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue where he assaulted a female victim by striking her in the face and tearing her clothing before fleeing the area prior to Law Enforcement arrival. His appearance in court on today’s date was in reference to charges made against him during a January 28th incident at the same location involving the same victim where he was arrested after throwing bricks through several windows of the apartment.

11:18 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Benson Lane.

1:37 p.m. – A black Acura TSX was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 18 mile marker where driver Robert Maurice Godwin was found to be operating under a suspended Florida driver’s license. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Eric’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

2:04 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a blue and white tractor trailer.

4:31 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a Father and his 19 year old son was reported at a residence on Hagin Drive resulting in the older male being struck in the face before leaving the area on foot. The victim declined pursuing charges in the matter.

5:51 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Courthouse at 265 Russell Street.

6:09 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Baptist Church at 1448 Grays Highway.

6:45 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Travelodge Motel at 8216 East Main Street in reference to a black male sitting on a bucket in a breezeway. Responding Officers made contact with John Wesley Brown Jr., 21 of Tillman SC, who was observed smoking marijuana as the Officer approached. He was ultimately found to be in possession of additional quantities of marijuana as well as an open container of alcohol resulting in him being cited and assigned a court date for the offenses before being ordered to leave the business property.

9:11 p.m. – Two suspicious Hispanic males, one allegedly armed with a rifle, were reported at Turpin Park at 901 North Logan Street.

9:16 p.m. – A white passenger car operating with no taillights was reported on I-95 South around the 33 mile marker.

9:28 p.m. – A welfare check was conducted at the Boat & RV Megastore at 401 Sycamore Drive after an open bay door was discovered.

FEBRUARY 7, 2016

5:00 a.m. – A black Ford Escape and a white Volvo tractor trailer were involved in a collision on Grahamville Road when the driver of the Escape struck the trailer of the semi and then continued traveling East ultimately coming to a stop after striking a SCE&G utility pole at the Henry Lawton Road intersection. Driver Teofilo Morales Perez was ultimately determined to be operating under the influence of alcohol as well as having no driver’s license or proof of valid insurance coverage. He was placed under arrest and transported to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment and evaluation as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle. Perez was later transported to the Jasper County Detention Center after being released from the hospital. The intersection of Grahamville and Henry Lawton Road remained closed due to the utility pole damage until approximately 7:30 a.m. when reopened by responding SCE&G repair crews.

9:21 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

11:37 a.m. – A theft was reported at the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after a customer entered the store leaving his red Chevy Trailblazer unlocked with the engine running in the parking lot. After returning to the vehicle the victim discovered that the keys had been removed from the ignition and stolen by an unknown person.

3:12 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on I-95 South around the 22 mile marker in reference to a burgundy SUV continuously stopping on the right shoulder of the roadway at various locations.

8:05 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a possibly intoxicated driver operating a red passenger car.

FEBRUARY 6, 2016

12:20 a.m. – A loitering complaint was filed at Ridgeland Weekly Rentals at 67 West Woodlawn Street in reference to a group of black males standing around in the parking lot area.

2:01 a.m. – A red Mazda 2 was tracked traveling East on Old House Road at over 100 mph while swerving into the oncoming lane of travel before the driver ultimately lost control of the vehicle and collided with the Honey Hill Community entrance sign. Driver Matthew Gene Hatchell was placed under arrest after being determined to be operating under the influence of alcohol and taken to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for evaluation as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle. After being found to have no injuries he was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center.

3:36 a.m. – A suspicious person was reported at the Econo Lodge Motel at 511 James Taylor Drive in reference to a subject sleeping in a blue Chevy Impala.

5:23 a.m. – A 46 year old male was reportedly robbed at gunpoint by 3 black males wearing hoodies as he walked on East Wilson Street. The incident is said to have occurred 3 hours before being reported.

10:13 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community.

3:10 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Exit Realty Office at 10616 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

5:23 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 24 mile marker in reference to a white pickup towing a trailer.

7:35 p.m. – A bag containing drug paraphernalia was discovered in the Ridgeland Cemetery.

FEBRUARY 5, 2016

1:06 a.m. – A Toyota Tacoma pickup was found unoccupied and stuck in a roadside drainage ditch on Old House Road at the Honey Hill Plantation intersection.

1:25 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the New Hong Kong Restaurant at 8176 East Main Street in reference to a red Toyota passenger car.

1:30 a.m. – Ridgeland Officers traveled to the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in service of two outstanding warrants against inmate Edward Kernard Frazier who was listed as a wanted person by the Ridgeland Police Department. Frazier’s charges stemmed from an October 24th 2015 traffic stop on I-95 North around the 24 mile marker where he fled the area after providing the Officer with his identification resulting in warrants being issued for his arrest. Frazier then fled from SC Highway Patrol Officers during a January 13th 2016 traffic stop after leaving the scene of a collision he was involved in on I-95 around the 29 mile marker resulting in additional warrants being issued by that Agency. On January 29th he assaulted an 18 year old male during an altercation on Mackay Point Road by striking and kicking him in the face several times resulting in an assault & battery 1st warrant being issued by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. He was ultimately arrested by SLED Agents during a February 4th traffic stop on Cress Road in Yemassee where he was also found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana, crack cocaine and schedule II narcotics resulting in additional felony charges.

7:44 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at Heron Crossing Apartments at 163 Heron Crossing Drive after several open 911 line calls were received by Jasper County Emergency Services.

9:37 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

11:11 a.m. – A complaint was filed in reference to a black Ford Crown Victoria being left parked in front of a West Main Street business in excess of the 2 hour time limit posted on the citywide parking signs.

11:47 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Ridgeland Boys & Girls Club at 913 Grays Highway.

3:18 p.m. – A black Ford Mustang and a black Volkswagen Passat were involved in a collision at the Ridgeland High School at 250 Jaguar Trail. No injuries were reported.

7:31 p.m. – A burglary was reported at a residence on Oakridge North in the Oakridge Trailer Park Community on North Green Street after the homeowner returned from work to find that someone had entered the home as well as a locked enclosed box trailer and stolen several items.

9:43 p.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported at the Regions Bank at 11004 North Jacob Smart Boulevard in reference to a white Hyundai Elantra.

10:01 p.m. – A white Buick passenger car was stopped for a defective headlight violation at the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street where driver Steven Paul Bancroft, 18 of Ridgeland SC, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was cited for the offenses and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

10:56 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 South around the 30 mile marker in reference to a silver tractor trailer.

FEBRUARY 4, 2016

9:04 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at a residence on McTeer Street.

1:12 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 12 mile marker in reference to a gray Toyota Tundra pickup.

2:10 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive after a white male continued walking on the business property despite being told not to by Management.

2:45 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Detective Annex at 1460 Carters Mill Road.

3:36 p.m. – A property damage report was filed on I-95 North around the 23 mile marker after the driver of a Volvo tractor trailer was allegedly forced onto the shoulder by a Budget Rentals box truck changing lanes. The complainant’s truck reportedly struck a low hanging tree branch causing slight damage to the roof. No injuries were reported.

4:29 p.m. – A black Toyota Camry and a blue Chevy Trailblazer were involved in a collision on North Green Street at the Highway 278 intersection. Both drivers were transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville.

4:49 p.m. – A trespassing complaint was filed at a residence on Bailey Lane in reference to 3 persons being on the property without the owner’s permission.

6:18 p.m. – A vehicle was reportedly traveling with no headlights in operation on I-95 South around the 25 mile marker.

6:22 p.m. – A silver Chevy Suburban and a red Ford Ranger pickup were involved in a collision in front of the Gulf Station at 8250 East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

7:14 p.m. – Several subjects were reportedly arguing in the parking lot of the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard.

7:27 p.m. – A white Honda Accord was stopped for a defective headlight violation on Wilson Street at the North Jacob Smart Boulevard intersection where driver Karen Denise James, 39 of Ridgeland SC, was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license as well as having no valid insurance coverage on the vehicle. She was cited for driving under suspension and operating uninsured and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

10:00 p.m. – A downed power line resulted in Smith’s Crossing Road being shut down for a short period of time between the Sisters Ferry Road and North Jacob Smart Boulevard intersections.

FEBRUARY 3, 2016

12:08 a.m. – A silver Saturn Vue was stopped for speeding on I-95 North around the 20 mile marker where driver Keith Brian Low was found to be listed as a wanted person by the Beaufort City Police Department. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center pending extradition as J&M Towing took possession of the vehicle.

12:12 a.m. – A domestic dispute between a male and a female occurred at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue after the male party assaulted the female victim striking her in the face and tearing her clothing. He then took her cell phone from her to prevent her from calling for help before he ultimately fled from the back side of the home running towards Great Swamp Road. A warrant affidavit has been filed against Brandon O’Neal Mulligan, 23 of Ridgeland, charging him with domestic violence 3rd. He was recently arrested and charged on January 28th after breaking several windows at the same residence during a domestic dispute with the same victim.

5:21 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted on an 85 year old black female wearing a nightgown after being spotted in front of the Ridgeland Police Department at 11323 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. Officers determined the subject to be a resident of Devonwood Apartments at 137 Captain Bill Road where she was shortly after returned to the care of a family member.

7:13 a.m. – A white Ford Ranger pickup and a white Dodge Caravan were involved in a collision in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

8:38 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Courthouse at 265 Russell Street.

11:34 a.m. – An abandoned bicycle was reported on Wise Street near the East Woodlawn intersection.

3:42 p.m. – A 40 year old male was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment and evaluation from The Palms Motel at 10735 South Jacob Smart Boulevard after making statements that he may wish to do harm to himself.

6:09 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Detective Annex at 1460 Carters Mill Road.

6:54 p.m. – A dark colored van was reportedly operating with no taillights while traveling North on I-95 around the 17 mile marker.

7:03 p.m. – An incorrigible juvenile was reported at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community in reference to a 16 year old male currently on probation with DJJ arguing with his parents.

9:13 p.m. – A black Dodge Avenger and a black Saturn Ion were involved in a collision in front of the Short Stop BP Station at 10728 South Jacob Smart Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

FEBRUARY 2, 2016

2:30 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle was reported on I-95 North around the 22 mile marker in reference to a silver Hyundai.

8:19 a.m. – A welfare check was conducted at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to a family residing inside of a unit with several broken windows.

10:44 a.m. – A green Dodge Neon was stopped for displaying a suspended and expired tag registered to a 2004 Lincoln on the I-95 Southbound entrance ramp at the exit 21 interchange. Driver Alea Christine Abel was found to be operating with no valid insurance coverage on the vehicle and no vehicle registration as well as being in possession of an open container of alcohol. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Blatchley’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

11:44 a.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 18 mile marker in reference to a black and gray tractor trailer.

2:07 p.m. – Catina Latrelle Aiken, 43 of Ridgeland SC, was placed on trespass notice for the business property of the Ridgeland Coin Laundry at 10246 South Jacob Smart Boulevard at Management’s request following a verbal dispute.

2:26 p.m. – A reckless driver was reported on I-95 North around the 13 mile marker in reference to a USPS tractor trailer.

5:17 p.m. – A civil dispute between a property owner and tenants was reported at a residence on Bailey Lane.

7:37 p.m. – A report of illegal drug activity was reported on Brandon Cove in the North Ridge Community.

7:43 p.m. – A harassment complaint was filed at Heron Crossing Apartments at 267 Heron Crossing Drive in reference to a female in Hardeeville causing problems with the complainant.

11:06 p.m. – A loitering complaint was filed at Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue in reference to several subjects standing around in the parking lot area playing loud music on car stereos.

11:14 p.m. – A Nissan Sentra was struck by an unknown vehicle which then left the scene without reporting the collision at the intersection of Grahamville Road and Sycamore Drive. The female driver of the Nissan was transported by EMS to Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville for treatment. Surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect identification and pending charges.

11:26 p.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Detective Annex at 1460 Carters Mill Road.

FEBRUARY 1, 2016

7:49 a.m. – Several personal items and a Lenovo laptop were stolen from the trunk of a tenant’s vehicle at the Quality Inn Motel at 221 James Taylor Drive. Surveillance video revealed a black male on a bicycle committing the theft at approximately 1:00 a.m. Charges are pending suspect identification.

8:51 a.m. – Officers traveled to the Jasper County Detention Center at 12008 North Jacob Smart Boulevard where inmate Juan Manuel Garcia-Carmona was served 4 outstanding warrants issued by the Ridgeland Police Department. Garcia-Carmona’s charges stemmed from a September 13th 2015 traffic stop on a gray Chevy Tahoe at the intersection of Bees Creek and Sweet William Road where he was cited for several violations before leaving the area. He then failed to appear in Ridgeland Municipal Court on October 26th to answer to the charges at which time he was found guilty during a trial in his absence and warrants were issued for his arrest.

9:17 a.m. – A burgundy Pontiac G6 was stopped for speeding on I-95 South around the 19 mile marker where driver Brittany Latrice Patterson, 23 of Pineland SC, was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana. She was cited for the offense and assigned a court date prior to leaving the area.

11:01 a.m. – A suspicious black male was reported in the parking lot of Baytree Apartments at 107 First Avenue.

11:25 a.m. – Officers responded to an activated alarm at the Kingdom Touch Ministries Church at 6714 Tillman Road.

12:27 p.m. – A suspicious black male was reported at the Ridgeland Baptist Church at 1448 Grays Highway.

12:44 p.m. – A complaint was filed in reference to a black Ford Crown Victoria being left parked in front of a West Main Street business in excess of the 2 hour time limit posted on the citywide parking signs.

1:38 p.m. – A possible telephone scam was reported at a residence on West Adams Street in reference to a telephone call from a person alleging to work for the IRS.

3:35 p.m. – A complaint was filed at a residence on Live Oak Farm Road in reference to a previously unreported assault involving a 20 year old female and the complainant’s 16 year old daughter on January 29th.

5:25 p.m. – Officers responded to a call of a gasoline covered white male falling off of a blue moped he was operating on Grays Highway at the Russell Street intersection where driver Keith Michael Ensrud was found to be intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Webster’s Towing took possession of the vehicle.

5:30 p.m. – A suspicious gold Toyota Camry was reported in the Wellington Community.

7:08 p.m. – A citizen discovered a discarded black Clasben purse at the intersection of Bees Creek and Grahamville Road. The item was turned over to Ridgeland Officers for return to the rightful owner.

7:44 p.m. – A domestic dispute between a Father and his 17 year old son occurred at a residence on Shadetree Street in the Carters Mill Estates Community. The alleged victim declined pursuing charges.

10:32 p.m. – A silver Mitsubishi Eclipse was stopped for a turn signal violation as well as displaying a South Carolina tag registered to a Chevrolet in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store at 10847 North Jacob Smart Boulevard. Driver Deidre Ellen Roberts was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license at which time she was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as A-1 Towing took possession of the vehicle.

10:59 p.m. – A white Lexus ES330 was stopped for a lighting violation as well as displaying a South Carolina tag registered to a Honda at the intersection of Captain Bill and Fordville Road. Driver Rodrick Anton Boles was found to be operating under a suspended South Carolina driver’s license with one prior conviction for driving under suspension appearing on his record. A further check of the vehicle information revealed it to have no valid insurance coverage at which time Boles was placed under arrest and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center as Elite Towing took possession of the vehicle.
